"Right, well...I guess I should be getting back to your mother now, nice seeing you." Copper's last words to his son before he turned and trotted away. It had been nice to see Bly again but it was awkward for some reason. They hadn't seen each other in so long that it seemed they'd forgotten how to talk to the other. Copper worried that maybe they'd grown apart too much and they'd never be the same anymore. What if they never saw each other again. Copper decided against telling Kasi about his worries, he figured he was just over reacting. But he couldn't help it.

Sayena swished her little stub of a tail happily as she stuck her nose in a small patch of tall grass. Only moments before, the frog that she had chased had hopped in there and now she was nosing about searching for the elusive creature. As she stuck her muzzle to and fro, she thought about the frog that she was trying to get...or was it a frog? Perhaps it was toad? She pouted, she only wanted to look closely at the little amphiblian...but nooooo the little frog or whatever it was kept hopping away from her whenever she tried to have a good look at it. Why couldn't it just stay put for awhile? Her ears twitched at the sound of hoofsteps nearby, she looked up, momentarily diverted from her chase. It appeared to be a brown stallion. She promptly trotted up to him, calling joyously,"Hey!"

Copper had decided to turn back and find Bly again, but before he could do so a pink mare was trotting toward him. Oh well, a little company couldn't hurt. It would be nice to have someone to talk to. He plastered a brilliant smile upon his face and whinnied a greeting. "Hello." he said when he was close enough. Her bright pelt put him in a better mood but he still had to force himself not to think of his son. He hoped his feelings were not reflected on his face. "How are you today, miss...?" he asked not knowing her name. Copper glanced over at the disturbed grass and wondered what she'd been doing before he'd had the pleasure of meeting her.

Sayena smiled,"Perfectly estatic! You?" She paused and added,"Oh, I'm Sayena by the way, and you are...?" She tilted her head curiously, observing the stallion before her. He was mainly brown, with darker and lighter browns here and there, several grin feathers in his main and tail as well as his front legs. Also, he appeared to have a green necklace around his neck as well as some several earrings in his ear. Earrings...how intriguing, she had always wondered if they hurt, but she managed to stop herself from saying this much for she didn't want to seem like a chatterbox. Anyways, couldn't what she thought were earings just be nothing at all?

Copper watched as her eyes seemed to glaze over and look over him. He saw her gaze linger for a while over his earrings and he smiled. "Nice to meet you Sayena. My name's Copper." he said to break the small silence. He chuckled a little, "Humans like to dress me up. Usually I wouldn't let 'em but I liked the effect of the feathers and the earrings. I was a little mad about the necklace, see that's the last one I got, and now I won't let a human even so much as braid my hair." he laughed again.

Sayena gigggled,"Pleasure ta meet you too, Copper." She paused, wondering if she being too nosy and asked curiously,"Does your earrings hurt? I mean...did it hurt when the humans drilled the holes in your ears to put the earrings in? I always wondered about that..." Then she laughed a little at the comment about the necklace and replied,"Well, I doubt see how you can be made about the necklace, it's pretty and it matches your feathers." She nodded.

He shrugged slightly. "I can't really remember. I got 'em when I was younger and it was fast. You'd think if it hurt too bad I'd remember though, right?" he smiled. He looked down at the necklace. "I s'pose it does." At least it matched, she had a point there. It wasn't like he hated the thing anyway, it would feel awkward to have it removed because it was part of his adventures and life now.

Sayena blinked, and nodded,"Kay, I suppose so..." She paused, wondering if she should try getting earrings sometime. She swished her rather short fluffy tail to and fro, her mind finally wandering back to the frog that she had been chasing several minutes ago, she wondered if it had hopped off already. She paused, before saying,"I was just looking for a frog before you came along. Do you know if they have eyelids or not?"

Copper chuckled. "I think they have three...But one is clear, so you can't really see it..." he said thinking hard about it. "We could always find out?" he suggested and looked over at the grass. When they were quiet he was sure he could hear a faint croaking in that direction. He smiled at her again. "Shall we?" he asked and moved toward the grass.

Sayena tilted her head, three eyelids? That was quite a site to see. She wondered how in the world the frogs could close their eyes with that many eyelids...perhaps they kept their eyes open all the time just like fish? It would be quite interesting to find out, so she nodded and went over to the grass as well. She grinned, as she heard the sound of crocking, and said,"Okie-dokyes." And stuck her muzzle into the tall grass looking for the source of the sound.

He watched her and jumped slightly as a muddy green object sprang into the air and toward him. He backed up but ended up falling on his rear. The position he was in reminded him of Kasi. He giggled and stood back up then shoved his own muzzle into the grass to find the little thing. Momentarily he felt a small and slimy surface but it was gone in an instant and had leaped into the air again. He couldn't help laughing again. It was Sayena's turn to try to get the frog.

Sayena giggled a little at Copper's attempt, and at her turn, she sprang at the frog, but accidently slipped on the muddy ground, landing on her stomach. She opened her eyes, and lied there cross eyed for a few moments staring at the tiny pressure on her muzzle, right between her eyes. It felt strangely slimy and all she could see was a rather yucky mixture of green and brown. Then her brain caught up with her surprise and she exclaimed,"FROGGY!" But this wasn't exactly the wisest choice for before her exclaimation died from her lips, the frog had hopped off again leaving her getting back on her hind legs, shaking mud out of her mane.

Copper had been worried when she'd landed like that. But as she yelled out the word 'FROGGY' his worries died. He couldn't help laughing so hard that he was sitting again. "Are...you...ok?" he said through laughs. Finally he stopped. It was his turn. He got up and looked around with a determined look on his face and pounced in a random spot. Nothing happened. "Do you see it?" he asked loudly causing a muddy figure to hop away from him. He grinned. "Nevermind." Copper nosed at the ground and the frog sprang up yet again. "Get it get it get it!" he said bouncing slightly.

Sayena blinked a bit of the mud out of her eyes, and replied happily,"Yup, I'm A-OK." She bobbed her head happily, as the stallion asked about where the frog was. She shook her head and looked around at all sides of her like some ninja, not noticing the muddy figure hop towards her. She wagged her little fluff of tail as she nosed about, and a slight splat of mud caught her attention to the frog, she squealed happily as she dived towards it. Yet she slipped again, landing on her stomach laughing happily.

He thought that looked like fun. But there was no way he was going to try it. Copper was much too old and he knew it. He'd break his back or get stuck or something. He smiled and watched her laugh and soon he was laughing along with her. Copper out himself in front of the frog as it hopped away from Sayena. He closed his eyes as it came toward his face. Slowly he opened one eye then another. "I caught it!" he whispered through his lips carefully trying not the scare the thing away. It moved a little further up his face and though it tickled he held perfectly still. Well now what?
