~More Stuff--Family~ Name: Kami Gender: Female Height: 5'4" Weight: >.> Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde (naturally blonde-brown) Likes: Pets, her adopted children, unusual creatures, coffee, sweet stuff, small rodents, geckos. Info: Kami is Archard's adoptive mother. She had heard of the mansion that had the many little children up for adoption, and fell in love with the little golden-haired boy with the wide, innocent green eyes. Kami is a kind person, though she can have a rather hot temper if someone does something to irritate her. She enjoys wearing hats and puffy shirts. Kami's house is located a good distance from Gaia Central, near the edge of a forest. It's two story, and quite large, in order to accomodate her rather large family. Her front yard is the beginning of a large field which stretches behind her house, and connects with the edge of the woods. The woods stretches in an almost circular arc in back of her house, and around to one side. All sorts of creatures reside in these woods, most of which have been adopted by kami, but are too large to be kept safely in her home. ~~~~~~~ MektAn old friend. Archard and Mekt used to be very close friends. Archard found Mekt alone and the white-haired boy came to live at Kami's residence, but has now taken his leave. Archard misses the boy greatly. AdiemusAdiemus is Kami's Ambiotic, a very large species of creature that communicates by telepathy. Despite his rather fierce appearance, Adi is usually a playful, gentle being, and would never harm a youngster. He befriended Archard at a young age, and they like to explore the forest together. BenjaminBenjamin came from the mansion, just like Archard, and moved in a while ago. Archard gets along well with the feline, though they don't 'hang out' so much. Archard usually plays a big brother-ish role towards Ben, since the orange cat boy seems to have a younger sort of mentality. MokiA pet Archard recieved a short while ago. He has become quite loved by Archard, and sleeps in a shelf in Archard's room. KrizzA tiny dragonfly fairy that Archard found while he was out gardenning one day. He is four inches tall, and very inquisitive, and now lives in the potted plants Archard keeps at his window. He is allowed, of course, to go in and out as he pleases.

~About Archard~ Name: Archard Gender: Male Hair color: Blonde with gradually darkening tips. Eye color: Green Height: Roughly 6' Weight: 150lbs.? Currently: Seeking out new people, enjoying the company of new friends, and wondering how the old ones are... Likes: Being outside, comfy clothing, exploring the woods, playing with Adi, taking care of Milo, collecting bird feathers, bird watching, swimming, Aiden....cheese. Dislikes: Contiguous rainy days, being kept up inside too much, animal cruelty, overly crowded or noisy places, going to the doctor's, rap music, being startled by ghosty people... Info:Archard has changed quite a bit from when he was little. From an odd, unusually quiet little boy has evolved a friendly, slightly shy young adult. It seems he is a bit more out-going now as well, as if trying to make up for all the time he liked to spend on his own during previous times. Photo Album Archard as a smexy teenager <3 Preteen Kidlet

May 21st
"Come on, we're here!" she tugged the little boy gently, trying to get him to step into the softly lit interior of her kitchen. He seemed hesitant, and rather preoccupied.
"But I like it out here...." he said in his soft voice, gazing up with those lightly glazed green eyes, a look like made her shiver inside. It was as if he was looking right into her. He turned his head to look back up at the sky, tipping from one foot to the other.
"....Well, it's late. We need to get to bed. Besides, if you stay out here the mosquitoes will get you." she explained, and lifted him in, shutting the door. He made a disappointed sound, and rubbed his eyes, holding back a yawn.
Kami patted the youngster's shoulder. "You can go out and play tomorrow. Let's get you to your new room." she pushed him forward gently, and lead him through the house, up the stairs, and into a room decorated with deep blue-gray hues. A low bed was situated in the middle of the back wall, and he toddled over to it immediately, kicking off his shoes before sitting and lying back. He seemed to look at the window for a moment, before curling up.
He was a very odd child, to her, at least. He wasn't half as talkative as some of the other little ones that lived in her house. It made her uneasy, especially when he would stare at her through those vague green eyes, which he had, several times now.
"Thatta boy." she lifted him a little to peel back the covers, and let him settle down into the soft white sheets. He must have been more sleepy than he'd been letting on. She turned to leave, but stopped as he opened his eyes again, gazing up at her unblinkingly for a moment.
"Night." he whispered, and turned over with a yawn. Kami smiled nervously, not surprised to find herself a bit unnerved, once again. That kid certainly had a way with looks. "Goodnight, Archard." she said, and crept out to head to her own room, shuddering a little. Creepy kid...

June 3rd Kami sighed softly as she watched Archard sulk in the yard, from the kitchen window. She'd taken him to the doctor that day, for a regular checkup, and he had gotten upset when the vaccinatios had come. She had tried to console him, but he'd only run out into the yard when they arrived home.
Archard sat in the long grass of his so called 'mother's vast yard, a hand on his arm, sulking to himself. He'd made the distinct decision that he did not like doctors any longer, nor would he trust Kami for a small amount of time.
He could see it upset her when he acted coldly, so he would express himself as such. He wasn't really angry with her though, only angry with the fact that she'd had taken him there.
Damn doctors...
He got up, and started to pad to the woods, soft green eyes tilting up to observe with reverance the soft colors of the twilight. It would be getting dark soon, his favourite time of day. Perhaps he would seek out Adiemus later and have a nice game of tag in the back field. He smiled at the idea, and stopped as he reached the edge of the woods, taking his seat again.

June 6th Archard crept along through the tall grass of the field quietly, his eyes seeming to search for something in the grass. There were several small things held in his hand, obscured by the grass.
An odd-looking procession followed behind him. A certain 6 foot, 5 inch tall Ambiotic trodded behind him, towering over the little kidlet. His tail flickered behind him, and he seemed to look around too.
"See anything, Adi?"
Not yet...
"Hmmm..." Arch frowned softly. His new collection would never grow at this rate. He looked down to the feathers he held in his hand. He had 4 so far, and he was going to borrow one of Kami's books later to see what birds they had come from. "Maybe there are more near the forest..." he said, and changed directions, rustling toward the dark line of the trees.
Coming! Adiemus said, and followed easily on his long stocky legs. The large beast followed, a little smirk on his muzzle. This was possibly the oddest child Kami had brought home yet. He hadn't been scared at all when they had first met, which was a surprise in itself, considering his size and appearance. He chuckled as he watched, and kept a look out for more feathers, which he understood Archard was collecting.
"Hurry Adi, Kami's probably gonna come and bother us to come inside when it gets dark." Archard said, a somewhat scolding tone highlighting his voice. He really wanted to find more feathers. Kami sure would be impressed, or at least he hoped so. He was planning on giving one to her as a gift, maybe.
Yes, yes... Adi sweatdropped, and smiled.. The kid wasn't even afraid to boss him around. Quite amusing, to say the least.

June 8th Pasting another feather to the page, Archard stuck his tongue out the side of his mouth in concentration. He was making a scrapbook of the feathers he had found, taking Kami's advice so they would not get wrecked or bent lying out in the open.
Kami sat nearby, reading a book, glancing over at him every once in a while. They had sat together earlier, looking through her bird book in order to find what sorts of feathers he had found. He really seemed to have an enjoyment for wildlife, and she could hardly keep him inside.
Archard smirked as he stopped to admire his work. Under previous feathers already pasted in, he had carefully copied down the names of the birds they belong to. Altogether he had aquired several of a barn owl's, a scrub jay, a meadowlark, a woodpecker, and what they thought to be sparrow feathers. He liked the scrubjay's best of all, with it's iridescent blacks and blues. Scribbling down the last name, he yawned and sat back, proud and satisfied.
"All done? You sure are good at finding those, Archard. Maybe sometime we can go into the woods and look for more."
That put a smile on his face. "Yeah! I'd love that." said the little boy, holding out his book so that Kami could see.
Kami smiled, and took it carefully, admiring Archard's finds. They were beginning to become a lot closer now, since he had become accustomed to living with her. This made her incredibly happy, and he was starting to come to her more and more when he wanted help or had a problems, as opposed to when he would just keep silent. She was always reassuring him, and wanted to let him know that she would be there for him, which she saw was beginning to sink in.
He scooted over and snuggled against her, letting out a content sound. He was beginning to trust her more, as she had guessed, and felt more comforted to be near her. He stretched, and was unable to surpress a yawn.
She hugged him warmly, setting the album down on the coffee table. "Getting sleepy?" she snickered as the comment was met with an indignant look.
"Of course not..."
"Alright then...don't stay up too late." she chuckled as she watched him pad out of the livingroom, the feather album in his arms.

June 10th Giggling could be heard from the forest near Kami's home, if one listened carefully. Travelling a bit deeper into the pleasantly shaded woods, one would find the source of the sound.
Kami and Archard sat on a large flat boulder at the bank of a slow flowing stream. Archard sat on all fours at the edge, looking into the water as is drifted downstream lazily. Sometimes a small group of fish moved by, tempting the mischievous little boy to toss a rock in the middle, scattering them.
"Do you think we could catch them, mom?" he asked, looking back with a smirk.
Kami laughed. "We'd need fishing rods for that....I'll go up in the attic and see if I can't find any of the old ones. ou can always make your own in the meantime." she said, leaning back, enjoying the cool.
"How'd I do that?" he asked, sitting and dipping his feet in the refreshing water. His black boots sat on the upper bank so they wouldn't get wet.
"You get a long stick, a length of string, a fish hook, and some bait." she said, smirking. "I'll help you with the hook if you want, I know we have some of those.
"Yeah, that would be awesome!" he said, gazing down at the fish passing by, glittering softly in the late afternoon light.
"You just have to promise to let them go afterwards, okay sweety?" she said, yawning at the end of the sentence.
"I promise..." he said, continuing to watch the slippery creatures. Of course he'd let them go...they were too big to keep in a goldfish bowl. He fidgetted a little, excited over the prospect of fishing. "When can we do it?" he asked, looking up again.
"Tomorrow, love. It's gonna be late pretty soon. Dinner time. We can do it bright and early tomorrow." she said, and slowly got to her feet. "Aaw...Okay." he smiled a little, and started to put his shoes on. "It was fun out here. Thanks for taking me, momma..." he said, and started to head through the trees.
"I had fun too, Arch. We'll fish tomorrow, for sure." she said, and headed after him, smiling softly.

June 19th
((I apologize for my lack of journal activity this week, gaia's been a real b***h and I've either been unable or unwanting to get it to work, so that's the reason. Did get in a bit of thread RP though, so it's all good, right? X3; ))
Kami had been up quite a while before anyone else had begun to get up. Everyone always loved to sleep in on Sundays, but it semed unusually quiet in the house at this hour. The sun was out, and not even Archard had come down yet, which was odd, because he was usually up early and ready to go outside. Glancing over at the fishing pole he'd made the day before, she realized that he had been planning on using it again today. It would be hard to fish if he took any longer.
Hearing steps on the stairs, she turned her head just as the kitchen door creaked in, and was a bit surprised at what she saw.
Archard blushed a little as his mother looked him over, hoping she would approve. He had felt the urge to dress a bit more extravagantly, like the other boys, though he was aware that most wouldn't consider his attire snazzy or extraordinary. But he liked it. The stripes were interesting, and the pants fit well, and were easy to get about in. He wasn't sure exactly how some people got about in such tight clothes. More noticably, he had used a couple feathers from his collection to make an interesting hair tie, which he'd thought would look good. He liked it, at least, and that was all that mattered mostly, right?
Kami chuckled. "Nice shirt!" she commented, surprised over him. She had a feeling being with the others might have influenced him, but usually he didn't like trying new clothes. He always seemed to opt for the old, broken in ones. Though she had to admit to herself, she was glad he wasn't dressing as...scantily as some of the other boys had been that night. It was good to see his common sense was well and intact, because she knew he wouldn't be able to move through the woods in overly dressy clothes.
"Really?" he was smiling happily, trying to hide the soft blush on his face.
"Of course Arch." she said softly. She was very proud of her boy, he seemed to be growing more every day. "You want some breakfast before you go out? I got the waffles you like, blue berry!"
"Sure, mom." Archard smiling, seating himself, overjoyed, and very much relieved. He couldn't want to show off Laertes and Aiden and the rest. Yes, he'd promised to let Aiden dress him up...but he'd wanted to try it out for himself, first. He was most proud of the feathers tied in his hair, and even though it wasn't flashy, he still thought they were special.

July 5th
Archard sighed softly as he watched the sky, reclined in the long grass of the field that was his backyard. He had his fishing rod with him, not the simple one he had made with a stick and string, but an old(but still usable) one that Kami had dug up from the attic for him. He wanted to go, but not without Adi. Things were a tad too boring alone, and he always ended up dozing off, or getting distracted by other things. Adi was always interesting to be with, and he was one of only a handful of Kami's animals could speak.
"There he is..."
A large darkish form, Adi's, could be seen moving through the sky as the big creature flew up over the road leading to the house, and then over the house itself. The big Ambi slowed, and back flapped as he set down in the grass, trotting over to his friend quickly. Sorry about the wait, Arch. Miss me? He stuck out his tongue as a handful of grass was flung at him, with playful intention.
"Adi, what's it like to fly?" the boy asked, standing and brushing the grass off to reach up and pet the blue fur of his friend's neck idly, smirking while watching him lean into it.
It's a good way of transport...wonderful when I was just beginning to learn. A toothy smirk appeared on his muzzle as he though back to those times. It's pretty much normal now, though, like walking is to you....Anyway, weren't we going fishing? I'm hungry. Without another word, he snatched up the fishing rod, and trotted off towards the woods, leaving Archard to pick up the little plastic tackle box. "Hey, wait up!!" Archard scrambled to catch up. Even at a trot he nearly had to job to keep up, since the Ambiotic's legs were so long. "You eat raw fish?" he asked, looking curious, smirking as they passed the tree line and into the woods, still trying to keep up.
Of course, it's delicious. was the reply, followed by silence. He looked up as he caught the sound of running water, and sped up, eager to reach their destination. He glanced back, watching the kid scrambled, amused. He reached the stream and set the fishing pole down, and sat, looking back to watch Archard. Don't you eat the fish?
Archard chuckled. "No, I'm pretty sure that'd make me sick. I like to let them go, anyway." he said, and set about preparing his fishing pole, and lowered the line into the water when he had the bait set, and yawned, leaning back against the trunk of a tree to wait. He was surprised when Adi waded in downstream, and snatched a fish right from the water, swallowing it whole. To bad he couldn't fish like that. He sighed softly, and was content to lean back and enjoy the quiet afternoon.

July 22nd Archard sighed softly as he sat in his room, sketching at his desk. He wasn't really drawing muc at all, as he usually was, but doodling. There was obviously something on his mind, and indeed there was. He'd had a scare the other day, and he couldn't stop thinking about it, eerie as it was. It had all happened a couple of nights ago...
He had met a boy.
Mekt was his name. And Archard had been scared of him from the moment he'd set eyes on him. He was very pale, and had soft white hair, but the first thing Arch recognized were the white clothes that seemed to be stained with what appeared to be blood. This was unsettling, but he played anyway, a game of doctor as Mekt requested, doing his best to play the role of the doctor correctly. Mekt's disposition wasn't all that friendly to Archard, but he wasn't mean or obnoxious either.
It all came to a screeching halt when Mekt passed out, from what Archard could not tell. Panicked, Archard left him alone, frightened that he had been the cause of mekt's sudden unconsciosness. He had come to realize that it wasn't him at all, and has worried ever since. How could he help his creepy little friend?

July 31stQuote: Well....a lot sure has been happening lately. I guess that's why I'm writing this here, Kami said it might be good if I kept a little journal of everything that happens. That way, she says, I can look back on everything that's ever happened to me, whenever I please. Seemed like a good idea...so here I am.
Mekt has moved in with us! After visiting with him, and finding he had no real parents, how could I say no? He is a little creepy, and he practicallly scared the pants off me the first time we met...but I forgive him. He's mellow now, and really friendly towards me. He likes to cuddle, and it's really cute. Kami doesn't mind him staying at all, so it's all good! It'll be fun to have a new friend to play with, even if all he really wants is to play doctor. At least he hasn't made me the patient yet! That's about it for now...we got him home and into some nice clean clothes today, hopefully he won't mind being around Kami and everyone else who lives in our house. Only time will tell, I suppose. ~Archard

((Me and Arrikanez decided to do a little private RP here, so here it is.))
Archard sighed softly as he got up from his desk, having just finished adding a couple new feathers he had found to his wildlife album, and looked about. He needed something to do, perhaps Mekt would like to play. He took his stethoscope from the drawer, and went of to find his younger friend. "Hey Mekt!!" he called out, and wandered out into the hall. Perhaps he was in the living room or something...
Mekt was currently busying himself tormenting the birds. He'd hold a worm [where had he found THAT?] at the window, and watch as the birds knocked themselves senseless trying to get it. Not only that, he was giggling at it. He didn't hear, or acknowledge that he heard, Archard, and kept tormenting the birds and the worm alike.
Archard caught sight of the little boy by the window down the hall, and smiled, heading towards him. "Hey Mekt, wanna play---AAH! What the heck are you doing!?" Archard dropped the stethoscope as he saw how Mekt was torturing the poor creatures, and skittered over to pull the blinds down. "Mekt!!" he frowned, angry for a moment. "Why are you tormenting those poor birds?"
Mekt frowns a bit, and drops the worm, looking down, and shuffling his feet slightly. "It was funny..." He says, in a voice that sounds so very innocent. "And I was bored... They're just stunned... they're not dead...."
"What if a cat comes along?" Archard said, picking the worm up and holding it in his hand. "It's still not nice, they might hurt themselves." Archard scolded, and sighed a little. "Sorry I yelled...I really like birds..." he looked down, and turned, heading off to put the worm outside.
Mekt blinks a bit, and moodily saunters over to the couch to plot down in it. No sooner does he do this, than he collapses sideways on the couch - out cold. Why? He doesn't eat unless forced. And why that? He doesn't see the point in food. For such an evil little boy, he certainly is one of the more naieve children in the world.
Returning, Archard saw Mekt, and blinked a little, going over to poke at him. "Mekt!? Oh great..." he rubbed Mekt's shoulder gently, and turned, going to et Kami. Surely she would know what to do. "Mooom! Something's wrong with Mekt!!"
Kami sighed in knowing concer as she looked up from her book, and stood to meet Archard as he darted into the kitchen. "I knew it would happen sooner or later. I don't know how that kid can stand it." she said, gazing forward worriedly.
"What!? What's happening to him that makes him do that?" he asked, in a hurry.
"He skipped breakfast, and lunch, just wouldn't eat anything. I really wish he would, but I don't want to force him. I bet you could coaz him into it though." she said, and went back to reading. She knew Mekt would come around sometime...
Archard sighed in exasperation, and returned to Mekt sideafter retrieving a small glass of water. He sprinkled water over his friends face, and shook him gently. "Mekt, wakeup...come on...."
Mekt came to shortly after, yawned, sat up, and shook his head a bit. He thought he'd just fallen asleep. He looked up at Archard, and then down at his hand. To Mekt's mind at the moment - meat = good. So what does he do? Looks at Archard's hand lovingly... and takes a bite. Or attempts to.
Archard yelped as Mekt bit down on his hand, and tried to pull free, panicking. "Mekt, what're you doing!!??" he screamed, all the while trying to pull free, scared out of his wits.
He let go after a moment or so, licking blood from his lips. That wasn't quite what he'd had in mind - but it did give a whole new meaning to the term "knuckle sandwhich". He whimpered, and looked longingly into the kitchen. His resolve against eating was starting to break down.
Archard whimpered, looking down at his bleeding hand. "Mekt, go eat something right now or I'm not speaking to you anymore!" he snapped, and picked Mekt up, setting him down and pushing him towards the kitchen. He held his hand, and went to clean it up, grumbling under his breath.
He whimpered, and he almost looked like he was about to cry. But he went to the pantry to get something to eat, without a second thought, or a protest. He was sort of teary-eyed as he sat down at the kitchen table with a "ready-made" sandwhich in his hands. "I... I didn't mean to..."
Kami had already vacated the kitchen, leaving mekt there all alone. A short while later Archard entered the kitchen, his hand bandaged lightly. There hadn't been too much damage, but it was rather painful. He sat at the table across from Mekt, a stern look on his face. "How come you haven't eaten all day? Kami said you hadn't..."
He took a bite of the sandwhich, and sniffled, wiping his sleeve across his eyes. "Didn't want to... Didn't need to. Didn't think so, 'least." He sniffled again, and took another bite.
Archard didn't comfort Mekt just yet. "That's a very bad thing to do. Especially for little kids, you need food to grow." he explained, hoping he would get through to Mekt. "And it really freaks me out when you faint like that. So try to eat regularly from now on, okay?" he asked, his expression softening. "Sorry I yelled at you, too. I was just startled..."
Mekt wordlessly nodded, and wiped at his eyes again. He really hadn't meant to hurt Archard - reallyreally. Just like he hadn't meant to hurt the birdies. He just thought it was funny to see them fly into the window.
Archard got up, and moved to hug mekt, rubbing his back gently. "I'm sure you didn't mean to do it...you only seemed half awake." he said, and nuzzled the boy gently, hoping he wouldn't feel bad for too much longer. As long as he started eating every day, things would be fine, or so he hoped.
Mekt nodded, and finished up the sandwhich, yawning. Sleep was a good thing, and also something he hadn't had much of lately. Nightmares and such. "Were.. were you gonna play with me?"
Archard smiled a little. "Yeah, I was gonna ask if you wanted to play doctor." he said, patting the little boy. "Want to?"
Mekt nodded a bit, and pretty much decided that he was going to cling to Archard. "You be the doctor?" He would be wagging his tail, had he one.
Archard chuckled, and picked Mekt up. "Sure. Come on, let's go to my room." he said, and proceeded to carry his friend to the said destination.
Mekt snuggled into Archard's arms, and closed his eyes, leaning against him - pretending to have passed out. Pretending, and making sure it was KNOWN that he was pretending.
Archard nuzzled, and carried him up to his room, setting him down on a big pillow next to the bed. "Okay then...oops! I left my stethoscope in the hall. I'll be right back." he said, and turned to go get it.
Mekt just lay on the pillow, yawning, and actually starting to drift off to sleep. He wriggled out of his shirt before he completely lay himself down, though.
Archard returned, and smiled as he saw Mekt on the pillow, taking a seat next to him. "Aaw, you look really sleepy. Maybe we should play later and take a nap now."
Mekt shook his head, and giggled slightly. "I can go to sleep, and you can pretend I'm unconscious?" He grins, and looks up at Archard.
Archard chuckled. "Alright then." he said, and started warming the chestiece.
Mekt curled up, close to Archard, and closed his eyes. He was so very tired, but he'd try his best to at least stay awake a little bit.
Archard petted him, and reacheddown to set the chestpiece to Mekt's heart. He hoped what he would hear would be good. Mekt seemed healthy enough now, besides the not eating thing.
Mekt's heart sounds good. Healthy, strong and even. It's starting to slow down as Mekt drifts off into dreamland. He's very tired. And he's very cute when he's very tired.
Archard smiled widely, what he heard making him very ahppy indeed. Seeing Mekt was already fast asleep, he curled up next to him, and pulled him close. Soon enough, he was asleep as well, snuggled close to his best friend.
