It is a much darker movie than the first, and, being Batman, that is a very good thing. Several times during the movie it seems like you've reached the climax, but it just keeps going and keeps getting better. Sometimes with popular movies you expect too much out of the sequel and just end up disappointed. This movie exceeded my expectations. A Must See! Go see it.....In four days when it comes out! lol

The Dark Knight has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a really long while. I went to the midnight (well, actually, it was 12:11) showing at our theatre. Well, one of them at least; there were actually five: one at 12:01, 12:05, 12:10, 12:11, and 12:15. Along with another 12:01 at the other theatre five blocks away.
A big premiere night, and with good reason. I absolutely loved that movie, so if you get the chance... watch it!

The place I work at has 17 theaters/screens. 16 of them were sold out batman screenings. The other one was Mama Mia (lol). Whole shitload of people there that night...I bailed out just before the movie started and saw it for a second time on our giant Imax screen with my friend. Fun stuff.

o.O That's a lot of space devoted to one movie. Ours has 21 screens (again, plus 6 more at the other theatre a block away). But yeah, our showing was in a somewhat small theatre, which was good for me, because we ended up sitting in the third row. Definitely better to be in the front of a smaller screen than in the front of one of the "mega screens". I've done it before. It's not a pleasant experience. Especially in a movie with as much motion and action as Iron Man...

It was pure awesomeness.
And I'm sure as hell gonna miss Heath Ledger. He had real talent. sad

Shelcombakasfire FalseWing Jack Nicholson = Better Joker. I politely disagree. And I impolitely disagree. You're what? Seven? Jack Nicholson was good, but he wasn't nearly as creepy as Heath Ledger. Heath Ledgers acting completely embodies the kind of disturbing mind someone must have to be this kind of a person. When you add the story element, all the creepy and violent things his character does in the movie, only a child who doesn't understand these things would prefer the old joker. Then again there are those weird idiotic people out there who would rather stick with what they've got than recognize something better, like people who like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory over the new, and much more accurate, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I really want to go see it. I heard the Joker is REALLY creepy, just plain evil this time round. I'm surprised it's only a 12a, from what I've heard it's actually pretty scary. Or maybe the guys I've been talking to are just scared easily.
I wouldn't say the new charlie and the chocolate factory was much more accurate, the ending is completely different. Roald Dahl hated the first one though, and refused to watch it.
