I used this in the 'guess the language' thread. surprised oo

What prompted you to make it?

Also, do you have a site that is good with the pronounciation/orthography?

This site is good for grammar and vocab, but not for pronounciation...

No, I haven't found one yet. :

Ah, I just like how "Sri Lanka" sounds, and then I decided to look up its languages and found Sinhala. I find the script amazing.
I plan to really study it in December, after I get better with Swedish and start Yoruba.

That language is set up strangely...

Sinhalese- ēka alut kiyalā mama dannavā
Literal - it new having-said I know
Meaning - "I know that it is new."

There are also almost no conjugations, heh, i hate conjugating XD

Oooo...Here is a catchy Sinhalese song, the first minute is rubbish so fast forward past that. I shall post more as i find it ^_^

@ Doppelganger

After messing around on the site you gave, i found it has a pronunciation guide, did it not help you?

Although i could never see myself learning it, i could see myself learning a little and visiting Sri Lanka ^^

Ahh... I love the sound of Sinhala. whee

Yeah, it is pretty wonky in that manner. x3

Wow you replied fast x3

It does sound quite beautiful, and i adore the writing. I bet having nice penmanship comes naturally when writing that flowing script.

Musical jackpot of free MP3's anyone?

Only down side is i dont know if you can preview it before you can listen, and virus check them before opening, ive not opened one yet >_>

AH, I couldn't find the pronunciation, so that's why I said that.
