 Ah. What a great night. Not to hot, not to cold. A nice soft breeze. There were few clouds and many stars were still visible in the night sky. Yes, it was the almost perfect night. So perfect of a night that Aki couldn't sleep. She trotted along the river bank and watched the moonlight dance on the water. Beautiful, she thought, the moon tonight is absolutely beautiful. It was a quite night so Aki began to hum to herself as she walked on. "Humm Huuum. La la de de la." The female had no real destination so took her time in walking and enjoying the night air.

 Safiya wandered the night with a happy little bounce inn her step, perfectly at home during her favorite part of the day. She was on her way to drink at the river, when she heard singing. Enjoying the sounds, Safiya tracked the voice back to it's owner, and saw a pretty rainbow kissed female modifox. She bounded towards the new modi, tail waving behind her a bit. "Hi! I'm Safiya, it's very nice to meet you." she said exhuberantly, bowing slightly.

 Perched quietly on a rock overlooking the river, Ratri hoped that his parents weren't worried and looking for him. This was the first time he had really adventured out on his own, but he knew this area well. Alerted by the female Modi voices, he ducked down a bit and peered over the side of his perch to scope out the situation. They both seemed friendly, but he still wasn't sure.

As Aki trotted along, she heard movements up ahead of her. But Aki didn't frighten easily so she continued to hum. The wind blew softly and Aki caught the scent of a modifox she was unfamiliar with.. No.. Make that two scents she was unfamiliar with. But she didn't have much time to ponder on the scents before she spotted an interesting marked female coming towards her. Aki was very fascinated with the the patterns and markings of the new stranger. She smiled as the other female introduced herself.
"Hello Safiya." Aki said returning the bow. "That's a very interesting name. It fits you well." Aki paused to observe Safiya's markings again. "Anyway, I'm Aki. Its nice to meet you as well." She smiled again.
That explained one scent. But what about the other? Oh well. That modifox would show him or herself when they felt comfortable enough to.
"So how are you this wonderful night, Safiya?" Aki nearly sang as she skipped to the waters edge.

Safiya too caught the scent of another modi besides Aki and herself, though she wasn't too worried. If they had wanted to attack, they would have done so already...or at least hidden downwind.
"Thank you," Safiya replied, smiling broadly, "I like your name as well." She watched as Aki mde her way down to the river bank, suddenly reminded of her own thirst, and followed after her. "I'm very well, thanks. I love the night, it's got it's own quite beauty that you just don't find during the day. And you?" She asked, bending to drink and wrapping her tail around her paws.

Aki sat down where the water of the river could almost touch her front paws. "I'm doing well as well." She paused and thought about how weird that sentence sounded but shrugged it off. "Yes, the night does have a beauty much different than that of the day." Aki looked up at the moon and then down to its reflection dancing on the water. "I love both the night and the day. Depends on it its a good day or night, I guess." Aki skimmed the waters surface with the tip of her tail making the night sky's reflection dance in a more chaotic way.

Safiya finished her drink, licking the water droplets off her nose and laughed. "It's good to find you well. As for the day being just as beautiful, I wouldn't really know." She confessed, tail moving to dance behind her. "I haven't been out during the day in a while and haven't any experiance. I just remember it being far more chaotic sometimes than the night."
Safiya watched as Aki made the moon's reflection ripple wildly, the silver disk merging with the pinpoints of the stars. Suddenly, she dipped her tail into the water a flicked a bit at the other fox, trying to look innocent but failing due to the large grin on her face.

((Still RPing Ratri as a kit to avoid confusion ^^; ))
Ratri was slowly becoming more comfortable with the two females, even without talking with them. He at least knew that they were friendly since they seemed to be playing and hadn't attacked him...yet at least. He could feel the wind blowing his scent in their direction, so he figured that they knew he was here. Wanting to wait a little more until revealing himself, he moved a bit closer to the edge but stepped on a loose rock. With a yelp, he went tumbling off the side of his perch, landing on a bed of moss. "Owwww......" he said, gently rubbing his head but thankful he hadn't been any higher up then that.

Turning at the sounds of falling rocks and a small yelp, Safiya spotted a small pinkish red modifox kit. Concerned, she left off playing for the time being to go see if he was hurt. "Hey there, little one, are you okay?" She nuzzled him a bit and looked at him curiously "What are you doing out here so far from your parents?" At least she thought he was alone, since she didn't scent any other modis at the moment.

Strange. Aki had never come across a modifox who didn't live in the day time world. She knew of nocturnal foxes but had Safiya was her first one to meet in person. "Aye, the day time can be much more chaotic because many more things come to life. Many creatures and plays come out to play in the sunshine. Its not all that bad." Aki was drifting off into a daydream (or night dream?) about the day time when she was suddenly aware of water on her fur. She turned to look at Safiya and resisted the temptation to laugh at her not so innocent, innocent look.
She was about to splash back when she heard rocks clanking and the yelp of a small modifox. Instincts kicking in, Aki rushed to the side of what turned out to be a somewhat maroon and green colored male kit. She looked the kit over checking to see if anything looked broken or if the kit was bleeding as Safiya asked if he was ok and what he was going here. The kit seemed ok so Aki relaxed a little but was still going to be on her guard until the kit himself told her he was fine.

Still rubbing his head a bit, Ratri opened one eye and looked up at the two older modis. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks." He looked at the modi that had spoken, the white one with the interesting swirly markings. "My parents are both with my siblings, and I told them I wanted to take a walk. I come down here all the time during the day, but this is the first time I've been out here at night so I didn't see the loose rocks there."

Hm. The kit seemed fine. But, he did say he tripped. He could have easily sprained something and not know it yet. Aki decided to sit down next to the kit and make conversation until he walked around and she could be certain he was alright. "Yeah, wondering the night takes some getting used to." She smiled and looked up at the moon. "But there's never a better time to learn." Then Aki laid down so that she was eye level with the kit. "I'm Aki. And you are?"

Enzo was walking up river when he caught scent of three other foxes. At first he decided to ignore them, but after a while curiosity got the better of him and he headed toward the scents. He came across two adult female foxes and one male kit. THey were obviously talking to each other, but he was still too far to hear.

"It would certainly help if it was a full moon" Ratri said, also looking up. He looked back at Aki after a moment. "I'm Ratri. Pleasure to meet you." He turned back to the other fox. "Who are you?" His nose twitched as the shifting breeze carried the scent of another modi in their direction. It seemed rather far away and faint though, so he decided not to worry about it.

"I am Safiya, it's a pleasure to meet you. And it would have helped to have a full moon on ones' first jaunt out at night." she nodded, then picked up the scent of another modifox, though the scent seemed relatively far.... Still, with the kit, she kept some of her attention on the scent just the same and looked towards Aki to see if she had sensed the new modi as well.
