With a tilt and a flex of her wings, Melody spiraled out of the sky and made a gentle landing. This land was not her homeland... But many of her fellows had settled here... Her brother was here... His mate... Apparently they even had CUBS for the sake of all the Fayth.. No doubt good, wondrous, allwaysloving cubs...
Well, all except one... But she would call on her Nephew and the rest of the family another time... For now...
The Unchained Song stretched, her chains singing softly with every move. Picking up a leisurely walk, she moved through the lands... Seeking... "I hear you."

Crescendo was roaming the land, but never lonely. He had his music with him, always. But inspiration was scarce. The grass, the creatures of the land, the weather, could only give him so many ideas before they became repetitive. So now the black and white male was searching. Searching for something new that could jump start his creative mind once more. As his stormy grey eyes alighted the savanna, he froze. An angel was descending from the heavens, right before his eyes. He found it hard to move, stuck in place by her sheer beauty. He saw the blood, but instead of frightening him, he was curious and could see a great symphony being made to tell her story.

Melody blinked as he strides carried her towards a white-coated male... A male who was not familiar to her... No... She had not seeen him before, but he was... Something... Something drew her to him, she could hear the music of his soul. It reached out to her, pressing at the borders of her own songs.
"Hello." She crooned softly, smiling pleasantly as she moved toward him. Her wings were flared and then folded to her back, the feathers floating through the air around her. "I Hear You..."
The greeting was, unusual... But, fitting considering what they were.

The white male shivered in delight at the voice of the angel. And his eyes were surprised by her statement. But Crescendo's maw appeared, a smile that could put the sun to shame. "I am in the presence of an angel and my heart is reeling with music. And all of it is for you - inspired by your beauty," he said, almost breathless. Just the sound of her voice made Crescendo swoon, seeming to drown in inspiration. A muse. His muse.

She smiled when he did, finding the expression of joy contagious. His pleasant words made her shiver from flakes to tailfeathers, odd-eyes flaring with power. She tilted her head, a small playful smile on her maw.
"You are a skilled Musician, your words are like a song to me..." She blinked, taking a step closer, her smile flirtatious. "Do you have a name, Word-Weaver?"

He bowed his head to her before answering. "I am Crescendo, my lady, and yours to command," he stated, looking back to her with his stormy eyes. "I shall create a thousand pieces of music, dedicated and inspired by you, and not even break the surface of what I could make for you," Crescendo stated, smiling. Ah, her voice was better than the wind dancing through the trees, and her presence more beautiful than water.

"Crescendo..." She murmured, nodding slightly. "A fitting name for a great Musician... It is a great pleasure to meet you... I am Melody Unchained -simply Melody if you please- I come from the reaches of the Fayth over Spira... My Brother and his family are in these lands somewhere nearby... I came seeking them, and instead find you."
She gave a melodic laugh. "I am quite a bit more fortunate than I could have hoped... I would dearly love to hear your songs, Crescendo... And perhaps to sing you one or two of my own..."

Crescendo nodded sagely smiling still. "Melody," he said, "a fitting name for you; it's almost as beautiful as you are." He listened to her voice, drinking in every word. "How lucky am I to be the first you find here?" The male chuckled softly, sighing as Melody laughed; what a sweet laugh it was, soothing even. "I would be honored to sing you some songs, my lady. Any songs you would like."

"I thank you very much, Kind Sir." She crooned, bowing prettily with another flare of her wings. It stirred the feathers on the air around her, making them swirl in a silken tornado, their movements almost set to the music of her soul.
She tilted her head, a coy light filling her odd-eyes. "As for how lucky, I could not really say, good sir.. But I count myself most fortunate you found me... Do you know many songs?"

He smiled softly, listening to her words as if they were what kept him alive. When Melody questioned him, it took a moment for Crescendo to respond. "Yes, I know many because many I composed myself," he replied. "What would you like to hear? Something soft and soothing, a lullaby perhaps? Or maybe a song that will lift your spirits?"

Though she had always -her whole life- been seductive -not that Melody had actually had a 'youth' to speak of- The Dark Song Unchained was rather fickle about whom she spent time with... For whatever reason... In the recent ages, there was little reason for her to be...
After all, within the SongRealm there -sadly- was no great variety, at least, not any longer; so one had to more or less take what was given, but Melody had never been taken. So she soared down to the other Realms, seeking, but was hard to please. She was the Dark Song, she would be choosy. It was her right, her pleasure even.
And Crescendo had charmed her in a breath. In a moment. In a piece of time so infinitesimal compared to her life that it was less than a blink, than the beat of her heart, then the flap of a hummingbird's wing... Less than any of those things divided by all the others.
He had her.
"A lullaby..." She murmured as she sank to the earth, crossing her forepaws and wrapping her tail around herself. She folded her wings until they suited her, peeking up at him through the fall of her hair. "Please... Or anything... Only sing to me."
Her smile was soft, sweet, almost shy. Melody was never shy.

The softness of her voice made Crescendo's heart melt. He nodded, having the perfect song in mind as he sat before her. Crescendo had felt this song somewhat suited his muse - but he would have to work on one just for her.
He sang softly, his voice seemed to have the almost uncanny ability to float through the different voice ranges with ease. The song was lilting, ever-changing through the languages he had chosen to sing them in - languages from across the world. It was a song to connect beings, to bring them to peace and to rest. Rest from their lives and just... relax. Truly relax and to feel safe.
The song ended, seemingly too abruptly. The black and white male smiled at Melody. "Did that please you, my lady Melody?"

"It was wonderful." She murmured with a soft smile. She liked it that he thought of her as his muse... That he sang to her. That song above any other she had ever heard was soothing... Comforting... "I enjoyed it very much..."
Eyeing him a moment, she smiled and rearranged herself, and then began to sing. "Are you ready maybe are you willing to run?

As Crescendo finished the song, he smiled at Melody as she complimented the song. But as she sang her own song to him, the black and white male sighed. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. And it seemed he was going to have some competition with her.
"Melody... that song is almost as beautiful as your voice," he murmured in awe.

She tilted her head at him, wondering at the smile and the sigh. Her own smile slipped back across her maw -she seemed to be smiling a lot in the presence of this male- and her eyes gleamed. His compliment would have had a blush racing across her cheeks, were it not for her dark fur. Ducking her head shyly, she laughed softly.
"You do me too great an honor, Sir Crescendo... But I thank you for your words and your own song... They are great gifts, to one in a strange land..."
((Song is called "Put Your Arms Around Me" By Little Texas... I imagine you can look it up on youtube.. But I imagine Mel's voice sounds like the singer's... <3))
