I've been in choir since kindergarden (church choir until 6th grade, then school choirs), but I've been singing for even longer than that. When I was 4, I liked to write songs (mainly songs that you just repeated the same word over or say a few phrases, not actually "writing", I guess. And sing them into a tape recorder. And keep them and listen to them. ... thankfully, the tapes were destroyed. (Or, I just lost them. Whatever.) Before then, say age two, I'd go around singing children's songs.
heart heart heart

I've always sang. It wasn't until I had an actual chorus though (4th Grade). That I actually realized that I loved singing.

Almost 10 years now. I started at the end of the school year when I was in 4th grade, when I decided "hey, I want to see if I have a talent for something" and auditioned for 5th grade honors choir... even though the teacher specifically TOLD us not to audition unless we were planning on joining the choir anyway.
Ha.
...um... yeah. I made the honor's choir, and discovered that music class really WASN'T representative of what singing really was... and I figured out that I really LIKED choir. So, I've been in choirs every opportunity since then. biggrin
Before that... well, my opportunities were pretty much limited to any choirs at church (which I wasn't very active in), and singing alone at home (which I didn't do, because I was really shy).

I've been singing since I was in the fourth grade, onstage for school and whatnot.
Offstage, since I was wondering around in diapers. Singing has always been a passion of mine.

Well, I've been singing pretty much all of my life, like people have said. Just wandering around singing whatever came into my head. I think I was around 6 when a friend of my parents, a professional musician told my mom "She's got a voice". I got the lead in the Christmas pagent in third grade (I was the littlest Christmas Tree) and that was my first solo. Joined a community children's chorus in fourth grade, did that until 7th grade when it died out, and in 7t grade I was allowed to join the middle school choir, and the rest is history. smile

I've sang for almost all my life. The only choirs a sang for was school choirs though.. But I haven't sang in a choir since 6th grade. So mostly I sing for fun...mostly along with the radio.

Well, I've sang for...well, almost as long as I can talk. Forgive the cliche. However, I started kind of officially in public singing when I did solos in church choirs and such...about 3rd grade. Then I did my first long solo in 5th grade for the talent show. Did musicals, got into choirs, and it all went from there. I'm auditioning tomorrow for another year in regional honor choir. biggrin

I started singing when I was 5 or so. I was going to be ina a german choir 4th grade, but I didn't work well with students so I declined. I joined my school's choir in 6th, and have been in them ever since. (I'm a junior, now.)<3

mmmm I'de say that I've been singing ever since I can remember.... I do remember that I started to sing in a group in Second grade. Before that it was at church.... I was in my first real choir in 5th grade. I've been in a Musical each year since 6th grade and in 2 Musicals (and/or 1 play) since freshman year...
