Dustin yawned as he laid underneath the willow tree in a small clearing he had found. It was his favorite place to be on hot days such as today. He was napping in the peace and quite and occassionally he would watch the butterflies and the bunnies that were playing about in the clearing. His mind wasn't thinking anything in particular. Lately things had been...calm at the teepee. It was rather strange but not anything that was bad.

Calantha drifted slowly down to the ground, it was now almost too hot to fly, even with a cool breeze across her back. She landed with a soft thud in the clearing. She flicked her wings over her back, to cool herself off, as she scanned the area for any sign of life, besides the butterflies. It wasn't long before she spotted something large and dark, lying underneath the willow tree, but she couldn't quite tell who or what it was from this distance. She trotted towards the willow tree, and once she got closer she could see it was another Soquili, and one she had met before at that. "Hello Dustin." She said as she peered under the willow tree.

The black stallion startled awake from his semi-concious nap when he heard the sound of wings and someone landing. He blinked a few times and yawned again as his ears picked up a familiar voice that was talking to him. He looked up at the figure that was now standings before him and a bright smile spread across his face. "Calantha! It's good to see you again. How have you been?" he said cheerfully and feeling much more wide awake than he had been before.

Calantha smiled back, as she shifted deeper under the willow tree, so she wouldn't have to crane her neck so much. "I have been well. The winter was lonely, I am glad it has warmed up a bit, even if it is too warm at times." She said now half under the tree. "And how have you been?" She asked, before shaking off the leaves that had landed in her mane.

Dustin stood up and moved farther back underneath the tree so that she could have room to come underneath as well if she so choosed. "Yes, I am glad that it is warm again. Makes for better flying but sadly with my dark coat I can't be out long before I begin to burn up!" he exclaimed with a smile. "I have been doing fairly well. Nothing really new has happened. I am just the same old me doing the same old stuff and just the day is what changes." he finished and then gave a bit of a yawn and he tried to stiffle it.

Calantha slowly made her way under the tree, flicking off the leaves as she went. "Yes it does get too hot, on those days I end up going swimming if I can find somewhere to swim, or just a nice pool of water. I always liked the nights better anyway, such a nice time to fly." She said as finally got all the way under the tree. "I suppose I am the same old me as well, not much has changed for me either." She added, not noticing his yawn as she was staring up through the tree branchs.
((Sorry it took me a while.))

Dustin nodded and moved to the side to give her more room and then he laid back down to relax again. "Night time is a wonderful time to fly. The fireflys light up the ground below and it is simply amazing to watch." he said with a polite smile. "Though it has been ages since I last went swimming. Actually...I can't remember the last time I ever went swimming! It has been that long I guess." he said with a chuckle.
(It's alright)

"I know. I love the clear nights, when you can see every star in the sky, and there is a nice warm breeze." She said as she looked out past the willow leaves, and up at the sky. It looked like it would be a lovely night tonight, with not a cloud in sight. "I haven't been swimming in a little while, I did find a nice pond a while back, but I don't know if I could find it again, it was very small and surrounded by trees."

"Yes, that is definately the perfect night to fly. As for your pond, I have not seen one such as what you described though if I ever come across it, I will be sure to let you know." he said with a smile and glanced up at the sky as well through the willow leaves.

"I don't know if you could find it by air, at least not until the leaves fall off the trees. I think now all it would be, would be a tiny blue speck surrounded by green." She said as she continued to stare upwards, before finally looking back at him once more. "But it certainly couldn't hurt to look." She added.
((*Has no muse right now, and it shows* Sorry about the short reply.))

He shrugged and then smiled at her. "You never know. Would you be able to recognize it without all the green leaves and trees surrounding it? It would look probably very different then from the last time you were there." he said though he wasn't sure when she had visited the pond. She had never said so maybe she had seen it when there weren't leaves on the trees.

"Well I did find it while it was surround by trees, only because I was stuck in the forest and couldn't find anywhere I could take off from." She said smiling back. "I suppose if I go to the forest again, I'd probably be able to find it." She added. "But until then there is always the ocean." She said with a grin.

"May there is where your problem lies. Your trying to find it by air when you first found it by ground. Maybe if you try looking for it on the ground again maybe you will find it." he replied trying to give her whatever advice that he could. He chuckled then at her last comment. They had first met at the ocean and that was where he had first swam in years. "Yes, I suppose there is always the ocean."

"I suppose if I really wanted to, I could go back in the forest, but I don't want to get lost again." She said sticking her nose outside the shade of the tree to see if it was any cooler now. "You'd have to try pretty hard to get lost on your way to the ocean." She said with a grin as she ducked her head back under the shade.

Dustin chuckled. "Yes, you would have to try pretty hard to get lost going to the ocean since it is so large. I don't know how one would miss it!" he exclaimed. If one were to keep going in one direction or another they were bound to run into it at some point. "Getting lost is no fun by yourself. You need atleast a friend to get lost with you and then it becomes an adventure." he finished and shuffled his wings a bit. he poked his own nose out but to him it was still fairly hot out.
