A crow colored griffin walked along the barren ground. Dust kicked up each time one of her talons or paws hit the ground. A couple sneezes would sound a couple times if her beak was to close to the dust, but she kept moving on. It seemed like she was looking for something. Her ears layed back against her head, and her long slender tail seemed to float as she walked.
It didn't take long for the sun to reach down toward the horrizan. Her golden eyes looked up at the sun. A frown flashed through her eyes. " Morrigan. Morrigan. Morrigan. " She silently whispered to herself. " I knew I should have just started digging somewere. " Morrigan looked down at the ground. She hadn't found anything all day. Knowing she could still look, she shook the thought away. She never looked for anything after the sun touched the horrizan.

 Finally, Rameses was old enough. After waiting day after day, the owl mutant griffin was now able to venture off on his own with the choice of never having to come back to his family if he decided on it. Not that his family was a burden to him or anything, but being around so many normal griffins bothered him. It just reminded him that he was different, the only mutant griffin in the family. No longer could he stand it. It just felt so good to be able to get away from it as long as he desired...
At the moment, he was taking advantage of the freedom as he flew around, late into the day. The sun's light reflected off the gold speckles on his feathers on made him seem to glow as the giant ball of fire made its journey behind the Earth. He grinned as he watched the light even reflect off his scarab necklace his father had just given him. Along with it he had a golden earring, gold bracelets, tail rings, and on the bracelet a special gift that a friend had given him. Almost all of it was Egyptian themed too. He was very proud of his collection.
The young griffin dove down, tucking his wings in so he could dive until he was close enough to the ground. He spread out his wings at the last moment and soared just over it. Flying like this felt good... and he planed to do it often from now on.

Something glinted in Morrigan's eyes, causing her head to jerk in its direction. Gold. She knew that sort of glint that happened when the sun's rays bounced off gold anyday. Smirking for just a few seconds, it didn't take long for it to turn into a frown. It was moving. So the gold was on some griffin, but she couldn't see who it was at this distance.
Spreading her wings, her slender body lifted off the ground, racing off in the direction of the gold. Faster and faster she flew, she had to gain as much speed as she could before getting to the other griffin if she wanted to succesfully snatch up the gold. Going as fast as she could, she closed in on the griffin. Her quick talon slipped the tail ring off his tail, and she kept going. A squack of success laughed from her throat as she didn't look back to see who the dark griffin was, she just went. Hopefully he wouldn't follow.

Rameses multi-colored eyes went wide as he felt something precious to him be swiped off his tail. He beat his powerful wings in the air harder to quickly turn around and see the one who had snatched it. The dark griffin was getting farther and farther away so he couldn't quite tell who it was. "Get back here you thief!" He yelled after the griffin. He quickly took off after the other. What a fool he would be if he let this griffin get away with a treasure he had just recieved! His father would certainly not be happy with him. No matter what he had to get it back...

Morrigan laughed as she examined her new treasure as she flew. Though the admiring of the tail ring was cut short as she head the shouts of an angry griffing behind. Tucking the object close to her chest, she beat her wings hard to gain speed. These were the times she was glad she was smaller than a normal griffin.
Her eyes glanced back after some time to see were the other griffin was. Seeing him closeing in, she squacked. He seemed familiar, but she didn't take the time to examine him fully. She had to lose this guy. Morrigan's mind raced through ways she could lose this griffin, a powerful one by the looks of it.
Seeing the hills she called home up ahead, she smirked. This was when the tunnels going through these silly human made hills came in handy. All she had to do, was get there before he could reach her and pull her down.

Rameses clicked his beak angerily as he tried to think of a way to catch this other griffin before she disappeared from him. So far he was keeping up alright. She was still in his sights and a close enough distance for him to not worry for the moment. He beat his wings harder against him.
"I have a big family who values that stuff preciously. Stealing one could mean the death of you!" Rameses threatened after he felt he got a bit closer, enough for the other to hear him. It wasn't a lie either. At least his father would want something to be done, that is, if Rameses had the guts to kill his pride by telling him a smaller griffin was able to pull something like this.
His eyes widened as he saw the tunnels coming up. So she had this planed. He wasn't exactly the biggest male bird either, being an owl mutant and all, but he wasn't exactly sure if he would be able to fit in it.

Morrigan listened to the voice. It took her a couple seconds, but soon a laugh came from her beak. She knew that voice, only it sounded much older. Not giving away that she knew it was Rameses, she dove into the tunnels. Morrigan wanted to see if the boy could follow her.
The tunnels were well lit with human lights. Her small body could manuever quickly and lightly through the tunnel. She knew even Rameses could as the tunnel had once been a place were humans dug for their crystals.

(( I'm guessing almost all griffin can fit in here? XD; ))
Rameses growled in frustration as they reached the tunnels. He stopped hesitantly as he looked it over. Yes... he could probably fit through it... even fly in it too. Quickly he dove in to try to catch up with the thief. He was surprised to see lights were on. "Humans have been here recently...?" He mumbled as he looked around cautiously with his eyes. Only the two legged creatures would be cabpale in creating lights like those. Once again, he caught sight of the theif. "Theres no escaping me. I won't give up!" He called after her.

(( Sorry I didn't post until now. I had a lot going on...
and yeah whee pretty much ))
Morrigan grinned. " We'll see about that. " She called back before disapearing. When Rameses would get closer to were Morrigan disapeared, he would see a tunnel in the left wall, and a tunnel in the right wall. He would just have to decide which way to go.
Morrigan had gone left, which was deeper into the tunnels. Right would only lead to an exit. Flying through the tunnel, the lights became farther and farther away.
Another hole was coming up. Morrigan landed just outside of it, looking back to see if Rameses was still following. Dropping Rameses' tail ring at the entrance, she grinned and pranced in. This hole in the middle of the tunnels, this was her home. Curious to see if Rameses would come in to see who stole his tail ring, she waited inside.

Rameses stopped and landed when he got to where the female had disappeared. He clicked his beak in frustration. "Which way did she go...?" He looked off to the right, tempted to head that way. He thought better of it. 'No... everyone takes the right way. I should take the left...' The owl griffin turned his head to the left. He tried to take off with what little space he had, but it was difficult. When he was finally able to get it, a speck of gold caught his eye. Rameses landed and went over to the gold light to find it was his tail ring in front of a hole. Cautiously he picked up the ring with his beak and took a step towards the entrance. Maybe it this was a trap....

Morrigan pranced through the hole. This didn't look like the other tunnels at all. It was a room. There were more lights in the room. The walls were lined with shelves. Shelves humans had once used to put their tools when the escavated the tunnels.
Tools no longer cluttered the shelves, but now all of Morrigan's treasures. Necklaces, rings, glass figurines, coins, diamonds and many other things that shined when the light hit them.
Making her way over to a corner, she layed down on a pile of blankets she had stolen from a few humans. Laying down on the blankets, it looked like she disapeared except for the white patch of feathers on her back. " Well Pretty Boy, You have your tail ring back. " Morrigan called out smiling.

Rameses almost dropped the tail ring from his beak as his beak gapped open slightly after he realized exactly who he had been chasing. He should have known. "M...Morrigan?" He said in shock. "How... you... why did you take my tail ring? Wait don't answer that... I know why..." He smiled a little. It was just Morrigan. Not some strange kimera he would have to deal with. That sounded good to him. He stepped into the room more and looked around. "Whoa..." He mumbled as he took a look around. "You probably have as much stuff as my father does, if not more." Rameses went over to one of the shelves and stared with awe. "You really are some collector... So you put everything here. I should have wondered about that."

Morrigan smerked as Rameses told her not to explain why she took his tail ring. Croosing her left talon over her right as she layed watching Rmases look over he treasures, she smiled. " I make it my goal to find at least one thing everyday. That doesn't always happen, but still. I find a lot of things in the city, or near old ruined houses. " Her tail flicked slightly as she watched him. " So what do you think pretty boy? I told you I would show you my collection someday. Just didn't know it would be today. " Saying this with a small laugh.

Rameses looked over the collection for another few moments before looking over at the other griffin. "I would of come sooner if I knew you lived around here. Interesting home choice..." He smirked a little and looked over at another shelf. "There must be a hundred stuff in here. I'll have to show you my dad's stuff sometime now for sure. You'll love it. A bunch of Egyptian gold. It is all very shiny..." He laughed. "Do you often take things from kimera or am I special?"

Morrigan was preening her feathers as Rameses spoke. " We'll see pretty boy. " Pausing with a feather in her beak as Rameses asked a question. " Hmm? Naw, there are few times I steal from Kimera. Only if they have a lot of shiny things to flash around. " She said this with a smerk.
