I don't have a scanner or tablet either, so I feel your pain. D:
The photographs are nice, I live the ones of the archetecture the best though.

I knew there was a reason I wanted to set up a tablet donation circle here in the AFG. I've been donating my tablets to other people ever since I've... been using tablets.

I like it well enough, but it feels really impersonal, except the pictures of what I assume to be you.

i'm pretty sure no one wants to pay the shipping to france.

i'll try to chew on the impersonal thing and figure out what i should do different. I don't really know though.

The last one is a nice portrait, the oranges and greens are nice, though I think the brightness in the face is a little too high around the nose.

I don't have a tablet and am forced to draw with my mouse. I've gotten used to it, it's not as bad as some people assume. Though I'd like to own one sometime soon just to see the difference.

i like the last two the most, the colors are really fun to look at. and i agree that it does look a little too impersonal on the first few ones...and i think it may be because there isn't anything in the foreground? i like the last two because they don't feel like snapshots, and that there's depth within those photographs, because there's a sense of a foreground, middleground, and background. and that's what makes them interesting to look at. i also do like the first one, because of all the interesting textures, but the angle makes it feel a little flat.

might be fun to mess around with the depth of field too, kinda like this person's stuff:
-prismes

or this if you wanna take more architectural/landscape type of pics:
-sushicam.com

on the second to last piece...is that you? if so, you're really pretty.

It's me, thank you heart

Interesting note about the foreground, thank you for bringing that up, because it actually hit home XD

I would like to play with depth of feild more, but my digital camera doesn't give me alot of control in the area, since most of the functions are automatic. I do have my 35mm camera with me, but film is expensive (400 ASA doesn't travel well, so i didn't bring any) and so is developing. Plus it's like carrying a brick around compared to the pocket sized digi.

pshooo....I'm REALLY digging sushicam's stuff, thank you for the links.

Page Boy the image of the girl at the doors is beautiful. You can see her thoughts in her posture. Where were these photo's taken?

That's my host mom. She's so little and cute.

These photos where taken in various places i've visted in france.
The one you mention was taken in Poitiers, at Notre Dame. The candles are from the same Cathedral.

The others are from various chateaus, and my bathroom XD

I really like the 1st, second, fourth and fifth one a lot. Great detail, if thats from a digital. I can't decide if I like the position of the girl about to open the door. I'm really caught in between with that one. I generally don't like sepia tone for the fourth one, but it works, I think. You should pay a bit more attention to your backgrounds though. Also, your colors are absolutely wonderful! Nice and vivid. The fifth one seems to be overexposed, but I think it works. I actually think quite the opposite of Tish with the photos. I can tell these are places and times you find dear to you, especially the first one. They sort of tell a story.

I think you have to be a bit more careful with light though, like in the picture with the chairs. Overexposure in the middle top makes the image seem dark, and the color isn't right. That happens a lot with digital. Also, the statue crop is a bit too tight, I think. If you had a straight angle on it, it might be a little more interesting, but a sense of space is nice with something like that. Doesn't feel like a complete image.
