.:~About the lovely owner, Kitty~;;
Kitty's 16.
Her birthday is April 22nd.
She got her nickname from her cat-like traits, like sleeping all day and making funny noises when someone gets too close.
She tends to talk in third person when making jokes.
She's hardly ever serious and enjoys seeing people smile.
Pizza is her favorite food and pink and black are her favorite colors.
She loves her Tems like a fat kid loves cake. ( No offence, fat kids. 8D )
She is a gamer nerd and will often challenge you on the local X-box.
She hates stereotypes and believes that people should be themselves, no joke.
If you piss her off, she'll turn very serious and talk your ears off.

Entry 1 .:Sunshine through the Raine.:. Raine gave a grunt as he looked upon the open field in front of him. His fellow housemates were playing a game of "Squish ball". Before he knew it, his shoulder was being tapped. Quickly turning his head around, he met the cheerful brown eyes of his owner, Kitty. The girl smiled at him thoughtfully. This puzzled him. "What're you standin' here for? You should be over there with your friends!"
"They are not my friends. Only housemates." the male protested, folding his wings inward.
"Then do it for exercise." The girl crossed her arms to stare him down.
..Was she calling him fat? That made the male's right tail twitch with unease.
"Fine. I'll play the silly game with them. Are you happy now?"
The girl smirked back. He hated it when she won. Wait, she always wins.
"Yup. I'm quiet content with that."
The male glared at the girl a little bit longer before stalking towards the others'.
The girl watched him with amusement in her eyes. This had been the first time in weeks that she had seen the male 'playing' with his housemates. And after he hit Rush with the ball, he looked happy even. She crossed her arms and her smirk lingered, feeling proud of herself.
Maybe he's turning out to be quite the softie.

Entry 2 .:A Halloween surprise.:.
The colors were vivid with charm, the wind stirred as change was sure to come. Autumn had to be Rush's favorite time of year. The crisp air was so unpredictable, like himself. And then there was the "Pumpkin Spice" candles Kitty would burn in the house. The smell was so inviting, it made his senses tingle.
When his thoughts came to his housemates at this time of year, he remembered Lily helping Kitty with holiday decor the other day. Although, she was too short and Raine reluctantly finished the job instead. He remembered her being disappointed for about five minutes before running outside, bouncing straight into a pile of freshly raked leaves--Which he and Raine gathered earlier. Of course he wasn't angry at her, but Raine wasn't so happy about it.
Rush then sighed. He was currently perched on the porch's top step, tails twitching ever-so slightly. Raine was out doing whatever, Kitty was at the shop again and Lily was chasing her tail in the living room. Minutes seemed like hours at the moment. Blue eyes gazed their surroundings a bit more. Everything seemed quiet. Even the birds ceased to sing. Rush began to nibble at his lip ring. Boredom seemed to set in.
An hour passed. Rush was currently taking a light snooze. His head was propped against the porch's left rail.
"Rush, wake up!"
The male instantly jolted up, red bangs rustled in his face. His blue eyes focused on the brown-haired girl standing at the base of the steps. Her hands were full with a "bundle". After taking a closer look at it, he thought he could make out an..ear?
"..Kitty?" the puzzled male began.
"Shh! A have a surpriseee." she quietly chirped in a sing-song voice.
Before he could respond, she added, "Where's Raine and Lily?.."
"I dunno. Lily was in the living room.." The male shrugged.
"Go get'er." She replied. Her voice was oddly demanding.
After taking another look at the bundle, he raced into the house and into the living room. He halted to see Raine and Lily, peacefully sleeping on the couch. He actually regretted waking them, but he was on a mission!
He then tip-toed over to the couch and meekly tapped Raine's shoulder. The male opened an eye and stared at him,
"..What do you want?"
The yellow-furred male grinned back, flinging his hands behind his back in a mischievous manner,
"Ohhh..nothing much besides Kitty having a surprise to show us!"
The blue male rolled his eyes and stood up. The movement woke Lily, apparently. She looked up sleepily at the two,
"..Wha?" the small female yawned out, stumbling to her feet onto the floor.
"Kitty. has. surprise. now."
"A..surprise?! I love surprises!" The female practically bounced two feet off the ground.
"..Let's get this over with." Raine interrupted.
Rush didn't wait any longer. He dashed back outside, Lily on his heels. Raine took up the tail end.
After they assembled on the porch, Kitty wore a huge grin. Rush glanced at Raine who was leaning against the wall. The blue male didn't look back at him. His gaze seemed distraught. Lily sat in front of Kitty, her golden eyes were wide with anticipation.
"So.." The girl began quietly.
She then pulled a bit of the blanket away to reveal a small face. A fuzzy, Temeo face. "I'd like you guys to welcome a new member of the family! This is Matthew. But we'll call him Matt."
Raine stared the Temeo child down, quietly walking over to the girl. Lily bounced,
"Welcome home, Matt!"
The little Temeo wiggled some, but remained asleep. Kitty shook an index finger at Lily and whispered,
"You gotta keep quiet, Lily. He's sleeping."
The small female lowered her ears but quickly nodded.
"Okay Kitty.."
Rush edged next to Raine to take a peek at the small bundle. Matt's fur was a tinge of blue which reminded him of Raine.
"..Does he have parents, Kitty?" the male quietly asked,
"No, he doesn't. But he's not alone anymore. We're going to make him feel welcome here." She replied optimistically.
Raine's wing flitted as he looked down at the child. He wondered if the child would grow to remember his past like he did not. Regardless, he silently vowed to fill his memories with enjoyable things instead of a meaningless void. Slightly smiling he spoke up,
"Welcome home, Matt." Rush glanced at Raine and cheerfully repeated the same,
"Welcome home, Matt."

Entry 4 .:..Friends?.:.
"I wanna go outside!"
The morning silence was cut short by a high-pitched squeal. The voice's keeper-- a small anthro child, was practically attached the the living room window. His brown orbs were dull with disappointment as he gazed at the outside world beyond the glass. Light frost from the chilly night before still clung to the window's outer sill, slowly being melted by the morning light.
"It's too early, Matthew. Go eat your breakfast."
The young Temeo turned his head to scornfully stare at the older male in front of him. He didn't want food, he wanted to explore!-- He wanted to smell the new scents around him and feel the cool wind in his fur. Why did the others have to wake up later than him?
The older male didn't wait for his response. Instead, he walked over and tugged the boy to his feet, away from the window. The male's blue fur was slightly ruffled with annoyance. This Matt could see, yet he didn't care. Raine was always grumpy in the morning.
Matt groaned, his tails dragging behind him and reluctantly made his way towards the kitchen, turning his head again only to get a hand motion--from Raine, to keep walking, which he did.
After breakfast, the small male was finally allowed to go outside--with an escort, of course. But thankfully, it wasn't Raine. Rush volunteered to go along instead.
This was too easy.
The little anthro already observed that his older, yellow-furred housemate was easily swayed by female Temeo. Of course he never understood why. Liking girls is icky. However, this could be an advantage to lose him and go off on a real adventure. With this plan in mind, Matt accepted Rush to 'tag' along.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The duo was soon out and about, the cold wind whisked around their ears. It was almost tickling to Matt's soft, warm fur. He loved the cold weather. Almost as much as he liked reading.
Walking on a path that was well tread before, Matt could already figure out that they were going to the park. He sighed, ears lowering. Rush soon noticed this and questioned it,
"What's wrong, little buddy?" The older male peered down at the little Temeo. His blue eyes gave Matt a feeling of warmth, oddly. He almost felt guilty about planning to ditch him earlier. Attending to the male's question instead, the young Temeo threw up his hands, seemingly frustrated with the world-- or rather, the park.
"The park is boring! I du-"
The male quickly cut him off with a flick of his left tail. Matt became puzzled.
"We're not going to the park. We're going to the water's edge. Best place in Duhla!" The older male replied, a smug smirk was on his face. Matt blinked. Raine never let him go near water. Neither did Kitty. Maybe Rush trusted him?
Rush stuffed his hands in his pant's pockets, almost content with the walk. Matt, on the other hand was excited. He would get to see real water!
Not even twenty minutes later, the two could see the river on the horizon. Matt stared in awe. It seemed endless although he could see land on the other side.
"C'mon!"
Matt's thoughts were shattered as he watched Rush race to the river's bank. His twin tails trailed behind him. Adrenaline started pumping through Matt's tiny veins as he dashed after his older housemate.
"Wait up!"
The little Temeo called, gaining some speed. The cold air was so refreshing to run through!
After a few quick minutes, Matt could see that Rush had stopped at the bank. The smaller Temeo quickly followed and stood beside his older housemate. He was out of breath, obviously--but excited. He wiggled his furry toes through the cold sand. It was an odd feeling, but it wasn't so bad afterwards.
Rush's ears flicked. He seemed to be dazed, staring at the horizon as the cold water was only inches away from his feet.
"..Nice view, ain't it?"
The male's breathless voice almost startled Matt but he listened contently after catching his own breath.
"It's so awesome! Why couldn't I come here before?.." The small Temeo asked in a whining tone, blinking.
Rush turned to him, a smile on his face. The wind ruffled his bangs.
"I couldn't show you when you were a baby.. I had to wait untill you grew up or you wouldn't have remembered."
Matt looked down at the lapping water. He could only imagine how cold it must feel. He then cast a glance back up at Rush.
"Why did -you- show me the river and not Raine?.. Or Kitty?"
The male shrugged.
" 'Just something I wanted to do."
The small male sighed and twiddled his thumbs.
"Rush..I was going to run away from you earlier.." The little Temeo announced. He had to get it off his chest, as if he did run away, he'd never get to see this totally cool river. He'd only end up in the boring forest with the boring big rats.
The older male was oddly calm but replied smugly,
"I knew that."
"Y-you did?!"
Matt stuttered, staring up at his housemate.
"Yep. I would have too if I was with..me." The male tilted his head to think about his own sentence. Matt chuckled in amusement.
This day wasn't so bad after all. And to think that Rush was just a crazy guitar-playing-girl-obsessed loser. He's actually pretty cool, Matt mused, smiling up at the male.
He'd so have to take him along on a future adventure--Matt style.

Entry 5 .:Is there a locksmith in the house?:.
Green eyes held an intense flicker across the room. It's keeper--a brown male Temeo, sat quietly. It was his second day at his new residence, you see. His human called "Kitty" rescued him from a terrible thunder storm the other night.
His sensitive ears could still hear the rushing waves lapping at the river side; thunder crackling in the sky. He remembered being huddled under a tall tree, tails curled tightly around his cold, wet body. He was hardly afraid as this wasn't his first encounter with Mother Nature's wrath but unbeknownst to him, it'll be his worse.
Tucking his paws under his chin, his dirty blond braid fell to his side. The male's gaze focused on a key--a dark brown/black key fastened on a thin string. This was a special air loom to him; a gift from his parents--the parents he lost in the urban area of Duhla when he was small. It also seemed to have a bit of luck with it, as he escaped the claws of danger many times while wearing it. He could compare instances because he received a scar in a fight; a particular fight when he lost his precious key the moment before. Ever since, he holds it very, very dear to him. He winced after musing over his past for a spell. He hated thinking about it..but his past will always be there as he's alone with no-one to share it with.
After a few moments, the heavy rain almost lulled him to sleep as the storm progressed. His lids were half open. Suddenly, another flash of lightning flared in the sky, thunder followed with a loud bang. He jolted up, ears erect. He sniffed a bit and instinctively looked upward. The tree branch was struck!
"Holy cr-" His voice was sharply cut off as the same branch fell--right in front of his paws.
Backing up, awestruck, the male quickly swerved away, dashing blind into the heavy rain; paws beating on the soaked earth. It was hardly visible, but he kept running. His hope of finding new shelter lingered on.
Then, he spotted a light up ahead. It looked like a porch light, dimming faintly in the distance. It was the kind that belonged on human houses--an artificial light. He warned himself never to get close to a human as most Temeos of his kind seem to do--even his parents. However, this storm gave no sign of ceasing and at the moment, and he wasn't going under another tree.
The light got brighter and brighter as he got closer. His spirited lifted, which gave him the courage to run even faster. He was unaware of a deep puddle ahead of him and soon enough, his paws slipped into the mud and promptly slided into a nearby bush right in front of the house.
Hissing with frustration, the male struggled to get free from the bush’s sticky, spiny clutches. After ripping a few branches from his forepaws and twisting to his side, he managed to tug himself back out into the rain.
Cold, frustrated, disoriented.
His mind was whirling around like a blender on 'high'. Panting, his gaze drifted across his surroundings, his eyes widening as he realized where he was: In front of the human house. The porch light shone brightly, almost like a guide. He figured it's be warm too, under there. Reluctantly, he climbed the wooden stairs; muddy paw prints left behind from his nimble steps. Once reaching the top of the stairs, he halted before a mat..or rug of some sort.
It read: Welcome.
He was somewhat relieved that his parents taught him to read a common human language before departing. Even more grateful when the sign wasn't a threat, but more like a greeting.
Taking a few more careful steps, he examined the glass door that protected an inner door. He could faintly make out his own refection in the 'mirror'. Disappointed at his filthy appearance, he turned around and padded to the left corner of the porch, promptly collapsing with exhaustion. He stared sleepily in the distance, paws resting under his chin once more. The rain couldn't touch him under the protection of the roof, he mused silently with gratitude. Green gaze drifting downward to the floor and at his still-muddy paws, he blinked. Something was missing..
T-the key!
He instantly raised to his feet again, frantically racing around the porch, casting an occasional worried glance down at his neck. It must've snapped off! Standing at the edge of the staircase, he stared in horror. He couldn't see anything beyond the stairs as nightfall and the heavy downpour prevented any visibility.
The male slumped back down, defeated. The item most precious to him was gone. Gone forever. There was no hope, even if he waited until the next morning. The rain would have washed it away into the sea.
A sudden 'click' sound from behind made his ears instinctively perk, but he didn't bother to turn around to see. He lost all he had now, it's over.
"..What do we have here?" a soft, feminine voice called out.
Noticing light coming from behind him, he stood up and turned around, staring up at a girl standing in the doorway--a human girl as he suspected earlier.
Flattening his ears to his head, he stood defensively, hissing when she came closer. He and she both knew he had no where to go. He wasn't about to jump in the rain again either.
The girl crouched down from afar but close enough for him. Her expression was a curious one mixed with anticipation and hopefulness. Is that what she saw in him?
You can't trust humans, Kove.
"You look lost. Are you alright?.. It's a nasty storm we're having I see." The girl spoke, her brown eyes staring straight at him.
Should he reply? He's on her turf now. Does he have a choice? His fearful gaze drifted from her eyes to the door behind her. A Temeo about his height was staring at him. Her golden eyes were wide with curiosity. An anthro Temeo stood behind her; His blue eyes focused on him intently. A scarf adorned his neck and his dark blue fur and vivid tribal markings-- almost like the ones on Kove's own forepaws-- were interesting to look at.
Green orbs returned to the girl, tails curling as his mind wandered.
"I am..not lost." He murmured in reply, avoiding her gaze now. That was his first lie. He never came this far down the river and had no idea where he was.
"Well.. would you like to come in and get cleaned up? And maybe get a bite to eat-"
"No! I can't go inside." he interrupted, looking down at the floor boards of the porch. Before she could reply, he added, "I-I..lost something important to me..."
This seem to have struck her. She then stood up and beckoned the anthro male outside. He did so, shutting the door quickly behind him so the female Temeo couldn't get out. She, in turn, made faces at him when his back was turned. Kove was slightly amused.
"What did you lose..um..?" The girl asked. She wanted his name, obviously. Why should he tell her?.. The key, right.
"They call me Kove and I've lost my key." He observed the anthro's ears perking with interest at the Temeo's 'odd' description of his precious item.
"It's brown, close to black in color. I must have it as it's very precious to me.." The distressed and very tired Temeo added.
"I see, Kove. I'm Kitty and this is Raine. Behind that door is Lily. I'm sure Raine could find your key for you. Do you have an idea where you lost it?"
Raine gave a reluctant glance at the human.
Kove tried to backtrack himself. He remembered running at breakneck speeds towards the light..and the bush.. Bush! Yes, it's probably in there if it didn't fall in the mud puddle and was washed away..
"There's a sticky bush I tripped into down there. It could be in there." Kove muttered. He was slightly embarrassed of the incident.
The girl turned the Raine.
"Get an umbrella from inside and go find that key." She then cast a glance to Kove after setting the demands. Raine gave a long sigh and headed into the house.
"Meanwhile..you're coming inside with me. Dinner's already been cooked and you can have a nice rest."
Although he was delighted to hear the word "rest", going into a strange human house without his key was going way out of his comfort zone.
He sensed the human could feel his hesitation as she headed towards the doorway. She turned to him, her expression showed sympathy.
"I promise he'll find it Kove. Don't worry." She reassured, beckoning him to follow her into her comfortable home.
Something about her tone did in fact reassure him. That and he was too tired to oblige anymore. Dragging his paws, he halfheartedly followed her into her house. The female Temeo was nowhere in sight and he spotted Raine passing him and the human to go back outside. An umbrella was grasped in his hand.
The sudden rush of warmth made Kove even sleepier, but not sleepy enough to ignore his surroundings. The place was a cozy one with the sound of the fireplace crackling; it vaguely reminded him of the human house he and his parents used to live in. Before he stepped any further, Kitty halted him.
"Now, ya can't go walking over my clean carpet with those paws!"
Kove sighed, staring at his muddy paws. This is going to be a looong night.
Not even two hours after Kove arrived, Raine had found his precious key and he had a chance to meet the Temeo's that lived there.
Lily was the careless one, but her bright personality warmed him. She was currently staring at him with her big, golden gaze as he rested on the couch. Raine was the obvious leader although Kove could sense he had some self esteem issues. Rush; the one who was currently playing Guitar Hero in the living room was hyper and confident. However, he seemed to be a bit..slow at times. This amused Kove. Matt was the calm type but too curious for his own good. He deserved that swat earlier. No-one touches his key. Raine was only lucky.
The next day, Kitty offered Kove a place in her family. He pondered this, hesitated a little, but it didn't take him long for a final answer.
Yes, he answered. Even though he lost his parents, he could regain another family. This human and her pack of Temeos seem to give him what he's been lacking all this time: Security.
And besides, he might even find his parents one day.
Anything is possible in Duhla.

Entry 6 .:Confessions of the lovestruck.:.
A lazy leaf twirled down onto the ground; the last leaf from the great oak tree in the backyard. The ground was hard with the remnants of frost from the night before. The whitening sky told a certain Temeo that snow was coming as he glanced up toward it.
This Temeo--Raine he was called-- was sitting on a swinging bench on the back porch, swinging to and fro, idly. He had a lot on his mind; like he always did. This time, it was personal.
Casting his gaze back to his lap, his blue eyes traced over the details of a golden necklace. It was in a black velvet box, the box was adorned with a bright red ribbon. The necklace itself was a sight to look at; a gold braided chain with a purple jewel in the center. The jewel was shaped like a heart, it was encased in more gold. The average person would say someone would be very special to receive such a gift. She -was- special.
She. The Temeo that made his heart flutter and tails sway with excitement. The girl who was the incentive to work countless extra hours for this very necklace. The girl who made him stay up at night just to imagine her by his side. The girl who he would do back flips for. She was indeed, special.
It hadn't been a long time since they first met, he knew this. But after that first meeting, there was a click. Something that he felt good about. Was it her personality? She was nice to everyone it seemed. Maybe it was her curiosity for the meaning of anthro affection; something he was curious about himself.
She used to be a quad, he couldn't remember his past.
She had a family, he had an empty heart.
She seemed to fill that void that no-one else couldn't. Of course she was special. Damn straight she was special.
Alas, he was still slightly shy around her. He couldn't possibly give this little trinket away now. Perhaps when it was closer to Christmas? Everyone gives gifts around that time, says Kitty. But would she know if it was from his heart? And not some silly tradition... Maybe. Maybe not.
The male swiftly closed the little box as he was called inside. Only time shall tell.
"Merry Christmas, Sophie.." he whispered.

Entry 7 .: Journalist Tiem! :.
A dark blue Temeo took a seat at his desk, tails curling around his leg neatly. He formally adjusted his glasses and placed his hand on a gray book; a book he had bought with money he had earned shoveling the newly fallen snow. Raine acted like he wanted to help him, be he declined the offer. This was his job and his money to earn. Matthew also had observed that Raine was taking on more jobs lately. Maybe he was saving for something too? Hard to tell, he mused. Raine was complex..and almost the inspiration for his idea.
This idea was a simple one; Be the journalist for the household. Record memorable events in the book. There was only one question..
Would he share the book with the others? Maybe not. He remembered Lily stating something about wanting to be an anthro so she could write. Matt's ears lowered a bit, reminiscing. Was he lucky to be an anthro? He was sure that quads had good qualities too, right? Like being able to get away with wearing no clothes, yeah! The male grinned to himself, ears perking again.
For now, the book will be his to read. Maybe in the future, that'll change.
Clearing his thoughts and returning to the book--now opened, he picked up a pen and stared down at the blank page.
He tapped his chin idly and slightly smiled when his muse arrived.

I'm pretty excited today-- Who you ask? Matt's my name and I'm the 'official' journalist for miss Kitty's house. She didn't ask me to take on such a duty, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind. She's pretty laid back.
As my first entry, I'll tell you a little about my housemates.. Let's start off with Raine; Kitty's first Temeo.
He's sorta quiet around us, but he's not afraid to speak his mind. He teaches me a lot about life, but something tells me he's unsure about himself. I know it's none of my business, but I think him and Sophie(A Temeo who lives at Karo's shop) are seeing each other. They seem happy together..
Lily is Kitty's second Temeo. She's a quad and she's very spunky. There's never a dull moment when around her. She's always ready to head into trouble. However, she's been kinda quiet lately..and it's concerning me. Maybe I should talk to her.
Next up would be Rush. He's kinda..odd. Like, crazy odd. He calls girls "chicks". I wonder why? Girls don't look like little birds to me and they don't chirp! And..there's a foul smell under his bed. I'm too afraid to look under there though. Ew!
Kove is another quad. He's really cool I think. He told me and Lily a few stories about when he lived in the wild. I wonder if he has seen a Goliath rat before.. He also wears a key around his neck. I think it's an air loom to him. He doesn't talk about it. Nystic is fairly new around these parts. He's an anthro Kitty found by the riverside. He was pretty beat up when she found him. He claimed he was chased away from his former home but I doubt it. I think he ran away. I just -might- have overheard him talking with Rachel about his father. Hmmm. I'll have to do some snooping. Otherwise, he's pretty withdrawn and loves to play with his cell phone.. Which is annoying, ugh!
Speaking of Rachel... she and her sister, Amber, are last in line. They came here just last week. They're both orphans, but I only knew that from Rachel. I doubt Amber would ever tell. She's kind of mean. Rachel, on the other hand, is sweet..and..nice..and her hair smells good.. Oh! Must've been rambling again, sorry! Anyway, you could say I sort of..'like' her. But I doubt she likes me. A Confession my dear book? Perhaps. Although I have no chance. Nystic's eying her constantly and he talks to her too. ..And he's better looking than I.
Alas..
Well, I think that wraps it up for now. A good start, wouldn't you think?
Until next time!
~Matt ----------------------------------------------------
The male quickly shut the book and set his pen aside it. He examined the book one last time before shoving it under his desk. Rising from his seat and heading for the door, he briefly turned his head towards his desk.
"Until next time.."
And with a smirk, he left for his dinner plate.

Entry 8 .: On the wild side: Enter, Sol. :.
Wrapping a warm, fleece scarf around her neck, a familiar human girl stepped outside into the brisk winter weather; Her boots made a crunchy sound on the hard earth beneath. She glanced upward; the sky revealed no sign of more incoming snow. The weather had been snowy off and on the whole week. Of course this winter white is pretty to look at, but the girl didn't enjoy stomping around in it. Her Temeo, on the other hand, seem to love it. A many of snowballs have been thrown this past week, indeed. The girl chuckled to herself at the thought.
After making her way to a stone path, she made a mental note to get Raine or Matt or Nystic to shovel their sidewalk again. But she would guess that Raine would ask to do so when she returns. Or perhaps they'll have it done already? She blinked away the trivial thoughts; Her brown eyes winced as a gust of wind whipped around her face.
What was her destination? On the edge of the forest, a few days ago, she had spotted something shiny in the bushes. She would have investigated on the spot, but Lily was with her. If she had told the Temeo, she'd charge for it no doubt. If it was something sharp, she could have gotten hurt. And besides, average Temeo shouldn't wander in the forest.
------- The pointy trees ahead marked the entrance to the forest, the girl had observed. She scanned around, eager to spot a glint of the shiny object. She knew, however, that it was possible that the item was buried in the fresh snow from the night before. She mentally sighed, then stepped lightly ahead, almost expecting to step on her 'treasure'. Pushing between a few trees, she entered the forest.
It was quiet, an erie silence you'd only hear in the winter time; Not one bird sung it's morning song. The girl stepped cautiously, her boots making a harder crunch on various twigs and forest debris. Then she slowly came to a stop. It couldn't have been this far. But wha-
Her brown orbs darted from left to right suddenly; a sound from the distance was heard. It was probably just a squirrel, she concluded to herself. Still curious, she walked forward.
She's never been in the forest of Duhla before and you could say it was exciting to adventure some. She knew that Kove still wandered around the forest edge; it was his home once although he never likes to talk about it. Nystic had also visited it once or twice before. Something about a 'scientific experiment', according to Rachel. The girl blinked in confusion, wondering if something was going on between the two.
Unaware of how far she's walked, the human stared ahead, eyes widening when she arrived past some brush. A small frozen pond greeted her, a few snow-dipped reeds hung over it. But that's not what she was gawking over. Instead, her eyes laid steady on a bottle that sat beside the pond. It did not have snow on it, which could indicate that it was recently placed there. A filter of light orange/yellow light shone on it--from the sun. The girl eagerly kneeled beside the bottle before picking it up for further examination. It felt warm and was wrapped in some kind of fabric, a tribal-like symbol of the sun adorned it. Puzzled, she looked up; the sun shone brightly over the spot.
Little bubbling sounds awoke the girl from her slight daze. She quickly darted her eyes from the sky to the mysterious bottle again. Blinking, she peered into the spout--the only place where she could see inside of it. It contents wasn't frozen, but yet a bubbly liquid.
"..Bubbly liquid?..." she mused out loud.
A gurgle answered her.
"W-wait!" She scanned the bottle again and jolted up, grasping it with excitement. "You're a Temeo! A little Temeo!"
The girl--practically bursting with joy, spun around and clutched the bottle close when finally stopping.
The bottle bubbled, almost sounding shaken up.
"Oh! Sorry about that....Um. Name, right." The human pondered this while peeking at the bottle's fabric again.
After a long, hard think, she came to conclusion.
"I'll call you..Sol."
The bottle gurgled in reply.
"It means 'sun' in Spanish, silly!" She told the bottle, while walking back from where she came.
The bottle bubbled then made a small 'pop' sound.
"You think it's cool too? I thought so. Let's get you home!"
The bottle made another gurgle, which sounded almost like a bubbly sigh.
-------
Even though she never found what she originally quested for, something better came in it's place. And better yet, a new Temeo has a place to call home.
Welcome to the house, Sol.

Sunday, December 21st 2008
You'll never guess what has happened in these last few days! First, Kitty came home with a Temeo bottle. Isn't that exciting?! Kitty watches it all day long. I wonder what's it's going to be? I wonder if it's a girl...
Hm. Sol isn't a good name for a girl, is it? I thought not. Sometimes I wish I had a cool name like Nystic..or Rush. Maybe girls would like me then.
Sigh.
Oh! Me and Lily were throwing snowballs and building a fort the other day. Sophie came to stop by. Imagine that! She's so pretty..and her fur looks soft. Ugh!
Note to self: Get a better hobby.
She waved to me even! But, alas, she was looking for Raine. Lucky b*****d.
Anyway, she hugged him and gave him a Christmas present. I couldn't stay out there long enough to see what it was. It's hard to spy and throw snowballs at the same time! And besides, it's rude to stare.
And guess what? It's four days until Christmas. Four whole days until Mistletoe(That I won't be under, to my dismay), Eggnog and a lot of presents!
Hm, time flies when you're hanging lights, right?
Ha ha. I need a good laugh.
~Matt

Entry 10 .: On the wild side: You're shakin' mah bottle! :.
It's been a week--no, 12 days ago, when a human girl found a strange bottle; Inside was the churning, bubbly sounds that consisted of a baby Temeo. She named it Sol, after the sun-shaped marking that adorned the fabric it was wrapped in.
The girl never left the bottle from her sight as she had no idea when the Temeo would emerge. Every day she would talk to it, receiving vague 'answers' in the forms of bubbles, gurgles and sizzling sounds.
Today, she was sitting at the kitchen table, a tray of freshly baked cookies sat beside her. Sol was placed in front of her so she could keep a close eye on the little bottle. It was oddly quiet today, not a bubble or a hiss came from the churning liquid. This didn't concern the girl as the bottle seemed to have it's 'moods'. Like the other day, when Rush mistaken the bottle for an actual drink and shook it. The bottle made a deep rumble which freaked the male and got Kitty's attention--which was the only time she wasn't watching the bottle. After talking to it in a soft manner, it returned to it's normal, bubbly state.
This intrigued Kitty very much as she constantly wondered how much the liquid-y Temeo could hear and see. Although this example was one of the touch senses, couldn't they be the same?
The girl drummed her fingers on the table and reached for a cookie with her free hand. Upon picking one up, the little bottle gurgled.
The girl blinked at the bottle and cocked her head slightly.
"You like this cookie?.." the girl spoke.
It made a slightly bubbly sound that ended in a pop in 'reply'.
The girl giggled and set the cookie back on the plate.
"Oh.." she began, glancing the bottle, "I would've given you a cookie if I could... But you gotta get outta that bottle first, kay?" She stood from her seat and looked down at the bottle.
The liquid was silent for a few seconds and then it made a soft gurgle, as almost disappointed.
The girl's expression turned into a slight frown, but she knew what would cheer the bottle up in no time: A day in the sun. It was cold outside, yes..but the liquid--or rather, Temeo loved to sit in the sunshine. Now that she thought about it, it was a rather sunny day when she found the elusive bottle in the forest.
Perhaps this'll all make sense one day when Sol comes out. One day.

Entry 11 .: Matt's Journal entry 3 :.
Where should I start! Oh! Christmas, right.
I got some socks Rachel made, a few good books, a new video game and a -lot- of chocolate. I'm still not sure what Raine has gotten from Sophie though. He's been avoiding me and I think he's got a cold. Not that I want to be in his company anyway.. I'll find out eventually.
Lily's still complaining about being a quad and it's gotten worse after she frequents the shop. There's like a buttload of anthros there! Kove even seems hesitant about roaming in there anymore.
Sometimes I want to beg Kitty to purchase a vial for Lily, but I'm so afraid she's not going to be the same anymore.
Sol, on the other hand, seems to enjoy it's current state unless Kitty's baking cookies. I offer to set the bottle in some sunlight outside (It seems to like the sun), but Kitty doesn't want it out of her sight. I just try to help!
Rush tells me I try too hard, but when looking at him (He does barely anything productive), I really don't want to listen.
Oh! I properly met Sophie the other day. She likes my name. Isn't that cool? Kaie says she's the bland sort, but I think she's smart and very productive. I wonder what she sees in Raine. It's probably those stupid markings of his or those muscles! I need to work out more.
New year's on the way, huh? We'll probably shoot fireworks like Rush told me. I'm excited!
Giving the best of wishes, ~Matt
