 Many things had happened since the last time he really saw his own best friend. A green wind mare full of glitter. He had lost the love of his life, or at least she had disappeared for so long. He hoped she was ok, and even doing well where she was. He also was now a grandfather of three lovely horses. All grown up now. How fast they grew, it still amazed him. He was feeling aged, yet looked as young as he first showed in these lands.
Walking threw the forest, like he did almost every day, but this time a different direction. He had needed a little adventure now. Maybe meet new faces he'd never seen before, or just an old one he hadn't seen in a long time. His curled mane was also just how it was so long ago. Filled with flowers like always. Curled, with black and white stripes, and then at the end of each white stripe, vibrant colored could be seen.
He still wore a smile, that hardly went away, at least when he was out in public. In and near his teepee he looked rather sad, or upset. But he didn't want anyone else to be saddened by his look when he left the teepee. He flicked his tail as he went. Still hyper as ever when meeting new faces, and even old.

Sensitive ears accustomed to sounds carried by the wind twitched. Myoa turned her head to face the wafting breeze, deliberately listening this time. Yes, it was definitely there; Myoa heard the distinct sound of hoofbeats. A dormant flurry of excited anticipation awoke within Myoa. Too long had it been since she had met someone knew, or seen many of the friends she had had as a youth. Oh, Myoa was starting to feel her age nowadays, despite her glossy, shimmering appearance. She had settled into an easy life surrounded by the love of her life, and her oldest child. Myoa smiled absently at the thought of her only daughter. Dani, who had yet to meet somebody special of her own; Dani, who still stayed with Myoa as opposed to traveling the world. Myoa conflicted with a selfish desire to never let her daughter go, and a hope that one day, her daughter would find love, could only wait and see what the future would bring. But for today, in the present, Myoa craved something new, something different.
The hoofbeats grew louder. They were paced at a walk, slow and steady. Myoa unconsciously held her breath as she awaited the newcomer. There he, or she, was, a dark shadow in the distance. Minutes and heartbeats passed. The shadow was becoming more defined now. The Soquili had a dark chest, Myoa could only see his or her front, with streaks of white through a curly black mane. Then, Myoa noticed familiar tidbits of color at the ends of his curls. Only one Soquili she knew had a mane like that. "Cualtzin!" she cried, launching into a canter--galloping was impossible with the close-knit trees-- towards her best friend.

Cualtzin was almost startled by the sudden shout of his name. At first he thought it was Tally, but then a green mare appeared as he looked towards the sound. "Myoa?!" He said loudly. He hadn't seen her in so long. A huge grin came upon his face. He stopped where he was, since she was moving much faster then he was, it was probably best that he didn't start running towards her. Especially if he ran into her.
He was a huge stallion. Bigger then most, but not the biggest around. His curled mane flowed lovely with every breeze that passed. Though sometimes getting caught in the low tree branches of the forest. It didn't anger him when it happened, in fact, he normally just smiled and asked for his hair back. "How have you been?! " He asked happily as she neared. He had so much to catch up on, as well as so much to tell her.
Though, where would he start. Last time he saw her, his and her kids were just foals. It seemed like life had passed before his eyes, and now he was just waking up. The world didn't ask for his permission to happen so fast. "I've missed you!" He added.

(( Just to make things easier Nay and I decided to RP as if Myoa never left. ))
Myoa slowed to a halt beside Cualtzin and nuzzled him fondly. "It's been too long!" she said. "I've been good, although I've missed seeing you around terribly!" Although she and Cualtzin were tepee-mates, Myoa spent most of her time with her mate, Degewi, and while she visited her two-legger often, she always seem to miss catching Cualtzin.
It had been a painfully long time since she had seen her best friend, she realized with a start. Myoa, between foals, then grand-foals, then even more grand-foals on the way, hadn't noticed the world spin by so fast. How was it possible for life to have fast-forwarded?
"How have you been, Cualtzin? How's your family? Tally all right?" Myoa asked, ignorant of the fact that Tally, Cualtzin's mate and her own close friend, had mysteriously disappeared. Cualtzin had perfected his mask of happiness to a tee, and in her excitement, Myoa didn't notice anything wrong with him. Possibly, she would later realize, that Cualtzin just might have been so excited to see her that he forgot about his dismay, if only for a moment.

(( That's good. 8P Cualtzins been hiding mostly ))
"Yeah, It has been" He said happily. Cualtzin had been hiding lately. Well, more or less in the spot that he and Tally use to go to get some alone time. It seemed to be a good place to be by himself as he thought about stuff. Everyone needed time to themselves to think, right?
"I've... been alright." He lied. He hadn't been alright, but she didn't quite need to know that. "Tally, I donno." He said now admitting that she might not be coming back "She's gone on another one of her trips, and hasn't been back for ages." He said with a nod. She always went on trips with her two-legger. Who happened to be someone who sold goods to other tribes and such. But she'd never been gone this long.
"Found out I have grandchildren though. Autumn had three kids of her own." He couldn't be more happier about that. Though he heard from someone else, and not Autumn herself. He also met one of his grandsons. "Amazing how things happen so fast." He added.

Myoa looked at her best friend and raised an eyebrow, finally catching onto his distress. "You haven't see your mate for ages, and you're alright." she said. No way no how she was going to believe that! Cualtzin could lie all he want; it wasn't going to work.
A wave of guilt crashed over Myoa. Why hadn't she picked up that Cualtzin was suffering earlier? She draped a wing over him awkwardly. She had to stretch on her hooves to reach across his large frame, and it didn't help that she herself was relatively small. "Cualtzin....." her voice trailed off. What was she supposed to say?
"I'm sorry," Myoa finally said. "You know that if you want to talk I'm here for you."

He gaped at her for a moment. "Well... I.... no." He said moving his eyes elsewhere then hers. How long could he run from it? Well not very long. He didn't notice that she tried the best she could to wrap a wing around him. He looked back towards her with a slight fake smile. "Thanks, but I really don't know where to start."
Perhaps it was just him, or maybe others were like him. "I mean, would you?"He just stood there, now realizing that her wing was over him. She looked kind of funny, but he didn't laugh, or at least he wanted to, but couldn't find it in him at the moment.

Myoa sighed and did the only thing she could think of doing. She lifted her wing resting over Cualtzin and proceeded to whack the back of his head. "Listen to yourself! What do you mean, would I? I'm your best friend, Cualtzin!" she said. At that point Myoa realized that she was more yelling than talking, but the sight of her best friend moping around dejectedly was too much for her.
"Tally's disappeared, but that doesn't mean that wherever she is, she doesn't still love you," Myoa said, this time softer. "You forget that I'm her friend too. No way she would have deserted you willingly.....she probably just got held up somewhere. Remember the bright yellow Unicorn who shares our tepee? He disappeared for a whole year before finally returning. You mustn't give up hope but even so, you must still.....move on. Life's waiting, Cualtzin! You have children and friends! At least think of your children, how must they feel?"
