I am 33 weeks pregnant and while it's still really early, things have started to change readying me for labor. (I delivered my first at 36 weeks and have been on bed rest for 10 weeks now with this pregnancy) I have been ready to not be pregnant for weeks now, but today I just feel different. I've had to force myself to eat and I'm utterly exhausted (I've already napped twice and could sleep again). What's really worrisome is that this is how I felt the day my water broke during my first pregnancy.

I've been searching the net for hours to see if this was common for anyone else and have had no luck. Any advice would be great.

I felt like that for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy. I felt like that the entire time, I think I slept more than I was awake actually lol. Granted, I was 2 weeks past my due date and I would have gone into labor if the baby was positioned right, but my guess would be that you are going to have the baby soon. If this is how you felt last time then at least you know what to expect this time and you know that this COULD be a sign that you are going to go soon. Just make sure you have everything ready in the meantime just in case.

My friend wasnt due for another 3 weeks, she went into the labor, the baby was born, and they said that it looked like the baby was OVERDUE when she came out. Had the peeling skin and seemed like she was overdue. Doctors said that it was possible since they cannot pinpoint the exact date of conception and although most babies go along the normal textbook signs of fetal development, not all do and if the ultrasound says the baby looks suchandsuch weeks old, it could actually be older or younger depending on how the baby is developing. So it could be that you are possibly further along than you thought and the baby is getting ready to come out.

Mind you, this isnt usually the case, just saying what happened to my friend. I would be prepared for anything at this point though, at 33 weeks (especially if you are on bedrest by doctors orders) anything could happen. I wish you luck and congratulations on the baby when he or she is born ^_^

Thank you, your comments made a lot of sense and was helpful. My husband said that all the pains/symptoms I've been describing are exactly what I went through in the last few weeks before I had my daughter. Needless to say, my bag has been sitting by the door for three weeks now. My husband took me to see a movie tonight and we joked saying I would go into labor right as the movie started. Luckily we made it through with no serious problems.

As far as my due date goes, I was tracking my cycle in great detail when we were trying to get pregnant, so I know the day I ovulated and conceived. And both the baby and I are spot on in size for average development.

Thank you again for your comments.

If you're worried, there is a test that your doctor can do for you that will predict preterm labor. I had covered it in the preggers thread for another user here and here. I would think since you've had one preterm labor that your provider would want to test and see if you're going to go into labor in the next couple of weeks. It would definitely give you peace of mind because you'll know you either are in the next couple of weeks, or you're not.

My last pregnancy, I never had issues with loss of appetite, and on the contrary, had a horrible Taco Bell craving the day I gave birth. (This was a BAD choice for a day I was having a baby, let me tell you. We'll just leave it there and let the mind wander where it may.) I was more fatigued, but that started rather early...more then a month before I went into labor.

This pregnancy, when haven't I been tired or had an appetite?! XD I'm starting to notice my fatigue worsening again and other then first thing in the morning, I'm never really hungry, just have to make myself eat every so many hours.
