Okay, so I think I'm actually going to try and put some real effort into a piece that I do. The only problem is, my anatomy sucks. This is as far as I got before finally getting stumped. Me and my friend, Master, have spotted a few things already but I would really like the anatomy to be spot on, or at least pretty damn close. I'm really not asking for niceness here, actually, I'm asking you to rip me a new one. Forget the rules of C&C because, honestly, nice don't get though my thick skull. The finished piece will, eventually, be Shiva (FF10), just incase your interested. With that said, I would like to open the flood gates.

i can help you but i willl come back nd edit because i gotta go right now .. oh nd what is she holding? i think it'd help to know what kind of shape it is .. to figure out the position of the hands nd stuff

i was able to make the hands for you biggrin but i think the shard should be smaller nd moved to the right -more inbetween the hand (note: the thing i did to the shard is random nd has no meaning lol except maybe shading but you're not there yet XP)
nd i couldn't figure out the shoulders i think that maybe its just the pose in general that's wrong but i can still see someone standing that way ..
i don't get it .. sweatdrop i think it would help if her whole body were turned more towards "us" but that would change everything .. maybe you'll just figure it out when more people critique lol

idk i think her torso is too short or her legs are too thick making her look stocky? but i think she's supposed to be that way? sweatdrop
her buttocks (lol that's such a funny word) lost definition in the far/left cheek nd the way you drew the back makes her look hunched over i tihnk from the first edit if you continue the line of her neck down to the mid-back line it'd be better nd you could problly make the shoulder blade more pointy, too

I agree with Groovy Spleen about the realistic body shape. It really adds to it, you know?

that's why i said that i didn't know if she was supposed to be that way lol
but i really like how its turning out

the coloring is always my favorite part! but i must admit that it's the most time-consuming of the whole art-creating-process lol
