 Yi made her way chasing yet another butterfly through the tall grass. Leaping every once in a while to try to catch it. She failed every time. But it didn't stop her from trying again, and again. Her golden eyes shined in the sunlight as she went. She never knew how her mother and sister could keep up with finding her. She was always on the move. She couldn't hold still at all. She'd what a human would call. ADHD. One moment she'd be interested in one thing, then the next second she'd be following something new.
Her passion was playing. For now anyways. Having fun, and just being a kitten. Her brothers weren't so happy though. She hardly saw them. Either sleeping, eating or just being stupid boys. At least her brothers were stupid. Jethro wasn't. He was a cool lion that she met not too long ago. An adult, but that still didn't stop him from being cool.
"Get back here!" She yelled as the butterfly floated up higher. Stopping her pouncing she sighed and sat down. Her thick tail bobbed up and down slightly annoyed. Her white ears back to her skull as she eyed the butterfly. Yet another one that got away. The day was young, and now there was nothing to do. And no shade around. Just grass.

 Thato had been in that same field of grass, but he wasn't at all noticeable. As he was laying flat on his back, blocking out all the noise that was around him. And just looking up looking up at the sky that was above him. Though he did want to play with someone, he didn't see anyone around to play with. He then noticed a butterfly go past, though he didn't know how high up it actually was.
He quickly got on to his feet, and jumped up at the butterfly. As soon as he reached the highest point he could, only then did he notice that the butterfly was way out of his reach. "Nooo!" He yelled out, as he started to fall back down. Now firmly, and the ground Thato had a displeased look on his face. As what he thought his only chance of having someone to play with was gone.
But as he looked around the grassy area he was in, he quickly noticed something colorful in the distance. Not knowing who it was, or even if they where friendly. Or even in a mood to play with him, Thato only hoped that they where. As he waited, to what who ever was in the distance would do next.

Something blue caught Yi's golden eyes. Quickly she looked, but whatever had been in the air was now gone. She looked around in the sky, then quickly to the ground. This time, she saw something. IT was blue. Not the prettiest blue she'd seen, but definitely not the ugliest. At first she thought it was a bird, or maybe another butterfly, but when her eyes focused, she realized it was another cub.
Strange, it didn't look like anything she'd ever seen before. Curiosity got to her and she found herself making her way towards him, though didn't notice he was doing the same thing. She lowered herself in the grass as if she was hunting. Crawling easily threw it towards the blue burr of a cub. She was going to pounce on him. She had a grin upon her face as she eased closer.

Thato noticed that the other was heading towards him, so he decided to do the same. Slowly making his way closer, and closer, his mind raced with thoughts of what will happen once they got up to each other. But as his mind continued to race, his eyes watched the others movements. He watched her as she lowered herself into the grass, and wasn't sure what she was planning on doing.
It almost looked as if she was going to pounce, not sure what to do. He just watched her, and waited for her to make her move. But at the same time he changed what he was doing, he stopped walking straight at her. And started walking a bit sideways, as if he was trying to circle around her.

It didn't take long for her to make her move. The moment he started walking side ways, the gig was up and she had to make her move then. She Grinned as she waited just a few moments to watch his body movements. To make sure if she pounced she'd do it to where she'd get him. Or at least come close. The wind was in her favor for the moment. No more time she could waste, she leaped towards him as hard as possible. Her ears back playfully, her eyes with the glint as if she was about to catch her pray.

As soon as the wind blew Thato lost track of where she was in the grass, and he knew that this couldn't be good. But before he had a chance to find her again, it seems she had found him. He could see her pouncing at him, but before he had the time to react. He could feel her landing on top of him, cuasing him to fall over onto his back.
He was so terrified at this time, and to him it felt as if his heart was going to beat out of his chest. He couldn't push her off either, the only thing he could do was plead to her not to hurt him. "Please, don't hurt me!" He whined out multiple times.

She started to laugh. Hard, so hard that now she had rolled off of him and on to the ground beside him. "Hurt you? Why would I hurt you?" She said once she could actually breath and was now just giggling slightly. She had no reason to hurt him, she just wanted to play. "You just looked like someone good to pounce. You know... like a game." She said now rolling back to her feet.
Her once white fur, was now brown in spots from the dirt at the bottom of the ground. Though, she didn't care. In fact, that's what her mother and older sister was for. Cleaning. Her purple spotted tail flicked back and forth as she looked at the other. She'd never seen a creature like him before, which made it all more interesting. She'd met a lion cub before, but not a male one.

As she rolled off of him, he pulled himself back up on his feet. He was quite embarresed as the female laughed. It's not he knew she was gonig to play with him, true he loved games. But her pouncing at him scared him badly. "It's not like I knew it was a game." He grumpily replied.
He then started to flick his tail as he looked at her, still upset that she was laughing at him. "You know, if you wanted to play. All you had to do was ask." He quietly said, as he looked down at his front paws.

"Well that's your problem then." She said as she flicked her tail, now sitting up watching him. She'd only ever seen a adult lion male so she wasn't sure what he was. Her Lion appearance over rolled her leopard, but at this age, her tail made her look more leopard. "You should always expect games, even if you don't know the rules of them." She informed him. "And asking is no fun." Especially if the other refused. Pulling them into the game without asking made them obligated to play with her.

Thato looked up, and gave her a smirk. "And how many times has it worked? How often do the other play with you?" He asked, as he started flicking his tail. "I would play with you, but you should ask before just pouncing on me wanting to play" He whined out, as he didn't like getting randomly pounced on by someone he doesn't even know.

She gave a shrug. "I can't count the exact number." She said. A lie, but she wasn't about to do that. In fact, he was the only one she'd actually attacked first before talking. The male adult lion she meant, they talked, then she attacked. But he started it. It was her turn to start it. She pawed at him with her paws trying to get him to play with her. She'd gnaw on his ear if she had to.
"You know you wanna" She said with a smile. A sweet innocent one at that. She could act so innocent if she wanted, but she wanted to play. Bite, scratch. She was more of a tom boy then anything. Mostly from her brothers though.

"Well maybe" He started. "But attacking me was still wrong of you to do." He whined. But infact he did want to play with her, it wasn't often he'd actually get a chance to do so with another. "But I guess we can play for a bit." He squeaked.

"Big baby" She giggled at him. She wanted to play, but he didn't really. He was boring for a cub. Though he did say they could play. He was nothing like other cubs really. She pawed at him without using her claws "How do you want to play? Or have you ever played with another cub?" She was sure he never even seen another cub at this rate. He looked like he'd been just with adults.

Thato wasn't happy being called a baby, then getting laughed at. "Don't you call me a baby!" He whined. "How do I want to play? And you are right, the only things i've played with before are bugs." He said, as he lowered his head down.

He was an emo cub, much different then Yi herself. "Well do you know any games?" She asked him. He probably didn't which was no fun at all. She frowned at him for a moment. Rather disappointed with what he was saying to her. Why didn't he know how to play? All cubs did, she thought, but she guessed she was really wrong. She didn't feel bad that he was getting upset, he had no reason to! She was just trying to play!
