Lyrixia was along the river, travelling down it's lenght and occasionally stopping to invesitgate dew-ish clover patches and flowers in the morning sun. It was a wonderful day for wandering and enjoying the surrounding areas, so she decided to make full use of it. She was still somewhat young to the world, but full grown, and assured her father she'd be okay. She was, after all, his daughter, and he was all perfect, right? Right.
She'd won the arguement, not because she was daddy's girl, but because she was confident and wouldn't take no for an answer. And no, she didn't need someone babysitting her, either. So off she was going, enjoying herself and roaming in the freedom that she had.

It was a beautiful day and Yolk was in no mood to walk, no, she wanted to soar across the sky like those beautiful Soquili with wings! She had no wings, which was most likely a blessing, for knowing Yolk she would have crashed through clouds and hit the ground in no time, so she decided to trot. Lifting her head, she let the wind blow her hair while she searched for something to do. Today had been very eventful, she'd nuzzled the daffodils, spotted a giant sunflower and even found a great, yellow, bird! The bird had been a bit too fast to smell though, so she was still a bit upset with that one. Other than that the day had been perfect, though... the sun was still high in the sky so that meant she had to decide what to do next.
Finally she'd reached the river and after taking a quick drink, Yolk gazed down the long way. Something was there! Something large and almost completely yellow! She'd never seen anything like it, there was so much yellow in one place and she didn't know what to do. Not only was there yellow, there were two shades of it! Two shades of her favourite color how marvellous! Without a second thought, Yolk galloped toward her new best friend and without hesitation gasped, "You're beautiful! Oh how I love the color yellow!"

Lyrixia had bene minding her own business with a clover patch when she heard hooves hitting the ground, approaching. Her head popped up, eyes wide a moment as she wonderd who ro whatw as coming at her-
-and then relaxed a bit when it was just another mare like herself, and not some big, bad, flesheating Kalona or something. However, the words the mare spoke definitely threw her for a momentary loop, as she was not expecting it. This one was excitable and cheerful to say the least, unlike most of the others she'd known growing up. The closest she could think of was maybe Zikeria, but... hrm.
"Why thank you," she said with a bow of her head. She did think herself quite lovely as well, but thatw as partly because of her father's compliments all the time filling ehr head with notions. Well, true, he was as bad about being so self-assured on his looks, it was only sensical it'd pass down. She smiled to the other mare. "My name is Lyrixia." She should at the least introduce herself to someone who came over to see her, for whatever reasons they might be. After all, she ahd complimented her!

She wasn't really worried about what the other mare was saying at this point, nope she was more intent on staring. Yellow, she didn't know Soquili could be yellow! Gosh was she ever pretty! She'd never seen anything as pretty as she was, even the bright yellow flowers she looked at all the time! Yolk felt as if she needed to nuzzle and smell this stranger, but she knew that'd be wrong by many standards. Holding her ground, she just continued to stare and watch the very beautiful mare.
"Y'know there's lots of things that are yellow! I like yellow flowers, and the sun, the sun's really pretty... stars are really pretty too but they're too far away to really look at. Plus, they're a bit more whitish than yellow, don't you think? Butterflies can be really pretty yellow colors!" She didn't even realize she was rambling. Finally she caught herself and realized the mare had introduced herself, "Oh, that's a pretty name! My name's Yolk," she smiled.
What a lucky day this was, meeting someone yellow! She had other colors too, purple and pink and stuff... they were okay but nothing could compare to her mostly yellow coat.

Yep, excitable seemed to be the right word for Yolk. She held her ground though, feeling safe enough this this mare wasn't going to try to eat her or something; but she did do a lot of staring. The profession of a love of yellow ahd to be the explaination, so she reassured herself this mare couldn't eat her. Nope, not at all.
"Yes, many things can be yellow," she said easily. "My dad's yellow too, and so is my mom, though I haven't seen many else yellow like me." She gave a slight shrug, not dwelling on that fact. She was fond of her own colors and that of her family, because they were unique seeming, but it was disheartening to know sometimes you might be a bit too unique in colors.
"Stars are pretty ven though you an't see much of them, only because you can make interesting patterns," Lyrixia pointed out, but was pretty sure that one might get past this mare. Either way, she did like the stars because they were fun sometimes. "And sunflowers are yellow." She remembered as a foal her need to watch one one time since it always seemed to want to stare at the bright sun...
