Rating: (on a scale of 1-5 [five is high]) 4

Title: The Spiderwick chronicals (books 1-5)

Author (or Director, etc.): Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black

ISBN (if you have it) or Link to where it can be found: http://www.spiderwick.com/

Publication notes: I listened to the audio book from listening library.

Your commentary: Originally written for little kids (grades 3-5), but still a great story to read as an adult who loves fairy tales. Holly and Tony have created a wonderful world where fairies come alive for three unexpected kids. Really goes into good details about common and fairy lore.

Other: Recently made into a movie, which I haven't seen yet.

Title: The Book of Lost Things

Author (or Director, etc.): John Connolly

ISBN (if you have it) or Link to where it can be found: http://books.google.com/books?id=fmCrIqY2f40C&dq=book+of+lost+things&printsec=frontcover&source=bn&hl=en&ei=ZWjISYKxAcSJmQe7ybj9Ag&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=4&ct=result#PPP1,M1

Publication notes:

Your commentary: A really awesome story about a boy who wonders through a door in a tree into the world of the Fae.
This slightly dark tale, follows our hero as he unlocks the secret of this strange land and finally finds his way home.

Rating: (on a scale of 1-5 [five is high]) 4

Title: The Stolen Child

Author (or Director, etc.): Keith Donahue

ISBN (if you have it) or Link to where it can be found: http://www.amazon.com/Stolen-Child-Novel-Keith-Donohue/dp/0385516169

Publication notes:

Your commentary: A Hobgoblin Changeling changes into a boy and takes over his life, while the boy is taken by Hobgoblins to live among them.

This story of the classic fairy tale is really interesting, because its really two tales interspersed with each other. Telling the same story from both sides.

Title: Changeling the Lost (World of Darkness)

Author (or Director, etc.): White Wolf Publishing

ISBN (if you have it) or Link to where it can be found: http://www.amazon.com/Changeling-Lost-Matt-McFarland/dp/1588465276/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1237871462&sr=1-3

Publication notes: This is a Role Playing game by White Wolf. It is part of the World of Darkness and requires the core rulebook 1588464849 to use.

Your commentary: One of the best RPG settings that White Wolf has witten in a very long time. In this game you get to play someone who was taken away by the fae, and then made it back to the real world, but were changed. Awesome RPG setting, and a really unique way to look at the world of fae.
