 Chiboa woke with a suddenly, he had just had the oddest dream. It was still dark outside, probably just early morning. Boa sat back down calmly and went over the dream. It was as vivid as it had just happened right before his eyes. In it, he had been walking along the Rogue Lands just like any normal day, when it started to rain. He didn't exactly like to get wet, so he ran to a nearby cave to escape the weather. When he got in there however he was greeted by a pair of glowing black eyes. How did black eyes even glow?! Then he woke up.
It was weird to say the least. Chiboa got up and walked around for a bit, considering he was already very awake he decided to get a jump on the day and started to head out onto the plains. Then, Boa started to get weirded out, it started to rain.

 Why did it always have to rain? Ngala'leli trudged through the mud, blowing water out through her nose. She supposed it was the season for showers but still...it wasn't exactly fun to walk through all the time. With a sigh she flicked her ears, knowing she couldn't really dislike the rain, no matter how inconvenient. Rain brought water, which was important for life. How could she shun that?
She kept going, her pace steady. No need to waste her energy trying to run...it was always more difficult in the mud and where was she supposed to go? The savannah was not well known for shelter.

Ok, now things were starting to get creepy, Boa was running to get out of the rain, and there was a cave. In plain view. He started to contemplate not going on, that would be too much of a coincidence. But the rain was pouring down and it started to storm outside so he went in.
He carefully went inside, looking through the darkness of the cave for those glowing black eyes. Satisfied when he didnt see anything, he laid down and closed his eyes, drifting in and out of sleep to the sound of the rain.

Leli continued along, her fur heavy with water and her skill chilled despite the warm air temperature. Such was the feeling of being soaked. Mud caked her feet, wet and slick, but everything else was that way too; it was hard to avoid. It was coming to the point where she just...really didn't care anymore. She could get more wet than she already was.
When she came upon the cave she was skeptical. She didn't go in, staring at its yawning mouth. In this weather there was little possibility that it was empty. She was alone and young...she wasn't stupid. If she ran into something dangerous there would be little she could do to protect herself.

Chiboa was half-asleep contently inside the cave, his fur was finally dry, and it was warm despite the pouring rain and storming outside. Boa knew not to totally fall asleep, because if something bigger came into his cave, well... it wouldn't be his anymore.
Even through the thunder and rain, Boa heard something. His head instantly shot up and he stared intently at the mouth of the cave. He thought he heard footsteps... cautiously he got up and walked to the opening and when he got there he froze for a moment. Staring back at him were glowing black eyes, he focused and realized that the eyes belonged to a female dog, and not wanting to be rude, he motioned for her to come inside to get out of the rain.

Ahhh, so she had been right. The cave was occupied. Great. Just what she needed...having to deal with some riff-raff or another. That or getting soaked. She was down to earth enough to realize that hey, not all strangers were so bad, but there was an equal probability of it. And it wasn't something she was in the mood to mess with.
She wrinkled her nose, frowning at the opening and where the other wilddog had appeared. She wished she could smell if there were any more...but with all this water it was impossible. She took her time weighing her options...after all, she couldn't get more wet.

Chiboa watched as the female stood motionless at the mouth of the cave. He wondered what she was doing... she was already drenched and he knew that its wasn't good to be wet for a long time. He saw her looking around him and he figured that she wanted to know if there was anyone else in there. "There's no one else as far as i know in here, i just got in about 10 minutes ago. You're welcome to come in and dry off."

Leli watched him carefully, even as water dripped and clung to her eyelashes. There was always the possibility he was lying. But since she could think of little motive for such a lie it seemed unlikely. There was, of course, having to put up with company whether or not she wanted it, but being practical she supposed getting out of the rain was more important.
Her decision made she strode forward and loped out of the rain and into the gave. Once inside she turned her ears about her and sniffed the damp air. She didn't sense any surprises.

Chiboa watched the female as she stood in the rain, obviously thinking over his words. He cocked his head and continued watching, waiting to see what she would do. When she started walking towards him into the cave he let out the breath he didnt know he was holding. He saw her sniffing the air, trying to sense others. So she thought he was lying. "I promise you, im the only one in here, i checked around a little bit before you came around." he said turning towards her. "Im Chiboa by the way." he added, figuring they might as well get to know each other now that they were stuck together.

"There's no need for promises, I checked and there's no one else here," she replied matter-of-factly. She took a few brisk steps around a bit of the cave mouth before finally finding a spot, a good way away from Chiboa, where she sat back on her haunches to wait. She was far more interested in waiting out the storm than making a new "friend".
But she wasn't a completely cold hard-a**. She shot him a sideways look, though it was hard to tell in the dark with her eyes matching both her coat and the cave's lack of light, "Ngala'leli."

Chiboa twitched a bit at her response, so it was gonna be like that huh? Well he wasn't exactly going to go out without a fight. He tries to be nice, and look where it gets him... He saw her look his ways a mumble her name, Ngala'leli. Chiboa stopped for a second, it was actually a really pretty name, now that he looked at her, her eyes were really pretty as well....
Boa shook his head, "snap out of it!" he silently said to himself as he walked back to his spot and laid back down, but immediately got back up when he noticed Ngala'leli was sitting perfectly straight up, just watching the rain.
Trying to ease the tension a bit Boa spoke up, "So... what were you up to before the storm hit?"

Ugh. He was staring at her. Her eyes narrowed a little and it took all her self control not to roll them. Men. They needed to come back down to earth and get their heads out of the clouds.
"Listen," she said firmly, her ears pulled assertively forward, "Just because we're in the same cave doesn't mean we're going to have a heart to heart or share a life changing experience. As long as we're on the same page-that page-we'll be just fine. Alright?"

Boa's jaw dropped a little at her response but he quickly closed it again. So thats what he gets for trying to be nice?! He offers her a spot where he was resting, tries to get to know her a bit, and all he gets is a snappy comeback?! "Well fine then!" he said a little louder than he expected to, "All i was trying to do was ease the tension a bit, maybe just have a chat, but no. If you dont want to talk thats fine with me!" and with that he walked a few feet away and promptly flopped down comfortably. He was angry no doubt about that, this was one of the few times he ever had though, so it was the best experience. He turned his head to look outside, the rain wasn't letting up at all, in fact, it looked like it had gotten worse, lightening streaked through the sky and thunder boomed constantly. He really liked thunderstorms, just watching them. But if it meant that he had to spend more time with Ngala'leli... ugh... he didnt know what to do...

Leli snorted in response to his outburst, but that was it. Of all the things to get angry about! Since when was it required to treat strangers like best friends? How delusional. Well, he could have a tantrum about it all he wanted. It wasn't any skin off her back.
She remained seated where she was, comfortable in her spot as she watched the rain fall. The lightning was like a little light show to keep her occupied...it was rather nice. It was tempting to think that she'd be off once the rain had ended, but she was going to have to stick around until things were a bit more dry. Else she'd just be throwing herself back into the mud. That would be pointless.

Chiboa stared out the cave and watched the rain fall, still lying down. He was still mad at Ngala for treating him the way she did, he was just trying to be friendly! He noticed her watching the storm too, wondering if she actually enjoyed them as much as he did and wasn't just waiting for it to end. He wondered what he would do when it ended, wait for it to dry, or wade through the mud. Deciding to just relax now, Boa let his eyes close as he rested. Not quite asleep, he had to be aware of his surroundings.
