[takes place in the jungle outside of the walls] Konya had decided to go sit in the jungle that grew just outside of her home. It was a cool day, and the clouds seemed to hang quite low to the ground. She assumed that it was going to rain soon, but Konya didn't feel like going home. It was just too empty. She had an idea, and hopefully she'd be able to fix that soon.
As long as her mother didn't hate her for it.
She dabbled out by a small stream, letting her tail tickle the surface of the water. Her mind was full of dangerous thoughts. Not all bad, but things that were hypothetically possible. Fantasies were mixed in, of course. She was a girl after all. But she never really thought much about the outside world. Was it scary? Would she hate it? Or would she turn to love it? She never wanted to leave her mother, but what if there was something out there that made her want to stay?
Ideas like these had kept her locked into her cave, scared of anything new. The future seemed too big for her to understand, and so she'd let it just stay there. She could live without it right now. Let it find her, then, instead of her looking for it.

"Mama?" Kimbi called out. "Mamaa?"
He had been wandering for a bit too long. It was obvious that he was far away from home. The trees and shrubs had been growing much greener, and much thicker to boot. This obviously wasn't home. Home didn't look as frsh as this. It would in the future, but not right now.
Sniffling, the juvenile god tripped over a large root, sliding into the ground. "Uuggh." Every little bit of him was bad luck, wasn't it? He knew that he had to be strong, but it didn't seem fair. His family had started to grow apart on him, and his mother had encouraged him to go out alone. He needed to learn to be strong on his own, not depend on others. That idea seemed terribly frightening.
He'd have to learn it soon, though, since his family had pretty much left him. He had grown lonely in a matter of days, and started the search for his mother. If only he could get out of the jungle, though.

Konya's ears twitched at the sound that she heard. A voice? She listened again, but it seemed like the jungle had grown quiet. Almost too quiet. So there was a stranger out here, was there? Konya was almost thrilled by the idea, but then a trickle of fear sunk into her heart. If it was someone dangerous, she should probably flee back home while she was in the clear.
While she slowly made the decision, bits of the normal noises seemed to return. Had the thread passed? Or had the birds and other creatures decide that the stranger wasn't a threat? She had to put a lot of her trust into the other creatures, as she just didn't want to go back home quite yet.
"Is someone out there?" she asked, almost boredly. She was sure that it was just an odd bird or snake that had snuck in, nothing too frightening or abnormal. Life around here was quiet, and that was another reason that she stayed here. She wasn't into anything exciting. Simple life was better.

Kimbi groaned as he shook off some of the grass that had stuck to him. "Ugghhh. This isn't fun at all. Why did everyone have to go?" He was lost, and it was apparent that he had no idea what to do. He picked himself up again, gearing himself up for another try and finding his mother. Kimbilio could fly, but he wasn't very good at the whole thing, and didn't want to hurt himself too badly while he was on his own.
His ears perked up, twitching a bit at the unfamiliar sound of a voice. A bit older, soft like his mother's, but definately different. Feminine, too. Oooh, who was it? Was it someone he knew? He had no idea if he was actually outside of home territory, so maybe it was someone just out hunting!
He picked up the pace, replying to the voice. "Yes, yes there is!" His tail flopped behind him as he crawled over the uneven ground, careful to not trip again.

Strange. Why would someone reply that they were out there, yet not show themselves immediately afterwards? There was something odd about this stranger, and it was bothering her. She sighed inwardly, leaving her comfortable position next to the small stream. She would have to look for this stranger if they were not going to show themselves to her.
Her lime green eyes peered around curiously through the foliage, hoping to see something. There was movement there, but it could be from the other animals that lived here, and not this stranger that replied.
Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. Maybe it was a bird that had called back to her, and that was why she ouldn't see it? Looking up through the brances, she tried to see if there was a bird hanging around, but she still was unable to spot anything. Was it all in her mind? Frusterated, the lioness sulked back to her spot next to the stream, consoling herself over what she presumed was a lost and lonely heart.

Kimbi had heard the rustling of something, but it seemed to dissappear quite quickly. He knew that there was someone there, but it seemed like they had left him so quickly! Sniffling, but cub stumbled through more of the jungle, unsure as to where he was going still.
He took a moment to look up, actually taking note where he was. It seemed to open up, just a small bit, and he saw a small little stream trickling between all of the trees. Water! Scrambling to the water's edge, he lapped up greedily at the water, loving the clean and cool taste on his throat. It hadn't been a long time since he had some water, but with the calling out to his mother, his throat had gone dry long enough ago.
His ears swiveled around when he heard another noise. Yanking his head up, his eyes widened when he noticed someone there. Big! Bigger than him, at least. A gold lioness, obviously relaxing by the water. Oh no, he hoped that he wasn't in trouble. "H-h-he...."

"Oh?" There was someone out there! Konya's body tensed up for a moment, her eyes looking around. She was looking too quickly to notice the small lion god in front of her. Worried that she must have scared away the stranger, for whatever reason, Konya had turned to relax again, until she saw him.
Amazed, her eyes widened. It had wings! Was this the creature that her mother had called a god, from all those stories when she was a cub? It was amazing, and she didn't know how to take it. Carefully she lowered herself back onto the ground, trying to look as harmless as possible.
"H-hello," she called out softly, hoping that he would come closer. She didn't realize that how she was acting could offend him, but he looked oh so scared. What was scary? All the noises in the jungle were normal, so there couldn't be any sort of real threat out there. Instead, perhaps she was? Konya knew she was harmless, though. She hoped that he would come closer though. She was so curious!

Scared, Kimbi was amazed when someone had said something back to him. Not someone, but this lioness! He didn't know if he should be scared or not, but her voice at least didn't seem too threatening. He blinked at her, still peeking at her from behind quite a large bush. He rustled his wings, folding them tightly against his sides before slowly venturing out.
"H-h-hello..." he studdered out, actually tripping as he managed to do all the time. Catching himself before he hit the ground, he froze, still panicked that this stranger might chase him off. Ooohh, the stories that he had heard! Nothing seemed very kind out in the world, especially when you were on your own. How he wanted to go back to his mother's warm side. He knew better than to try and do that though, she would chase him off. He knew that he had to grow up, but all this growing up business seemed to hard to do.
"Am I...a-allowed here?" he asked meekly, keeping himself low to the ground.

The golden lioness laughed. "Of course you are! You're not in anyone's lands, don't worry about it." Frightened enough as he was, she had decided to not raise any questions about the wings on his back. Obviously he was a god out of legends, but he didn't seem like a very frightening god at all. He probably had little to no powers either, if he was so frightened of everything. It was quite sad, actually, that he had to be so scared. Did someone do something to him while he was so young that everything was frightening.
"Why don't you come over here? I won't harm you, I promise. There's some cool water here, and you call tell me about what you're looking for, since you seem so lost little one." It felt oddly right to be offering help like this. Was this something that she was looking for, to scease the loneliness? It gave her ideas, but that didn't mean that they were the correct ideas.

Kimbi watched the lioness quietly, trying to make up his mind on the whole ordeal. It all seemed all right, but that didn't mean that it actually was. Would he be okay? Would everything actually turn out all right? He knew that he needed to learn to trust others, especially mortals. He knew that his mother had a special love for mortals, and he should too. It just seemed like everything and everyone was against him. He'd have to learn to push away those fears and make himself strong. He had a hunch that he'd need to be strong once he grew up.
"O-okay," he said quietly, pulling himself up off of the ground to make his way quietly next to the lioness. It was here that he would let a bit of his life spill out, learning that he needed to speak out a bit to help himself gather his thoughts. The older lioness would listen to him carefully, offering a small bit of advice here or there. She mainly let him speak, listening just as she knew she was supposed to. Perhaps this was a meeting that was meant to happen, as it seemed to both open up their eyes significantly, on seperate matters.
Yawning, the cub nestled closely to the lioness. "I hope you'll let me take a small nap," he asked quietly. "I'm really sleepy...and then I'll go."
He heard her say something to him as he drifted off for a quick nap, but he didn't think it'd matter too much. She was nice enough to listen to him talk, he was certain that she'd watch over him with his little nap. Then he'd get the courage to actually leave this forest and see what else the world had out there. He needed to do this now, or never!
