Noctis pranced about, stretching his legs. It had been a long time since he had last gotten out. The last time he remembered escaping his mother and the human that he lived with. The stallion was perfectly happy to get out and stretch. That was, until he got stuck in the tree once more.
"Hello?" He asked, looking around, his horn stuck deep into the tree. "Can someone help me?"

Well, almost nothing.
Dani belatedly skidded to a stop and whirled around. A strange, purple blob against a blurry tree trunk had flashed by in her peripheral vision, and, unless she was mistaken, the blob had asked for help?
She trotted back to the tree and just barely managed to suppress a giggle. The blob was a starry-night stallion, a unicorn, and somehow, he had managed to get himself attached to the tree! Dani caught his searching aqua eyes and the severity of the situation chased away her initial amusement. Okay, getting stuck in a tree.....not very funny at all. "Are you okay?" she asked, voice genuinely concerned. "Um, is there anyway I may be of help?"

He turned a cyan eye up at her, laughing some. Noctis had been trapped in an awkward position due to his horn. It was a bit embarrassing for him at the moment.
"Can you press your head against the tree? I don't want to hurt it anymore.." He was capable of pulling himself free, but the tree.. He was worried about it since he always got stuck in the same tree but a different spot. "Please?"

Without a word, Dani tossed her head once, to flick her mane out of her eyes, and leaned against the tree with all her might. "It's...kind..of.....you...to.....think.....of...the.....tree," she grunted. "I'm....Dani." What an interesting place for introductions. She shoved even harder, blinking against the strands of mane that had stubbornly floated back into her face.

Once he felt her head against the tree Noctis pulled away, hooves digging into the ground a bit as he did so. "He's my friend" The stallion spoke, teeth clenched some from the effort to get out of the tree. Finally free after a few tugs he nipped at her ear, laughing a bit.
"Dani? That's a good name. I'm Noctis." He smiled, nuzzling her. "Thanks for helping Dani."

Dani blushed and tensed, unused to such familiar contact outside her family, before she smiled and nuzzled him back. Anybody who made friends with trees could only be pure of heart.
"Short for Dancia, nice to meet you, Noctis," she answered. "And it was no problem, you didn't want to hurt the tree, right?" On the trunk, Dani had noticed (with a little bit of a giggle), at least a dozen puncture wounds in the bark. "Say, how do you get stuck in the first place?" she asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

"It's nice to meet you too." he smiled more, taking a few steps back to look at the sparkly mare.
"Mr. Tree hasn't complained since I started being nicer about getting out.." Noctis laughed a bit, hiding his embarrassment at getting stuck in the tree once more. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was running. How did you make it out here?"

Dani laughed as well, although not unkindly. "I love to run," she said. "And I was just trying someplace new when I found you. I don't look at where I'm going either. If I had a horn, I'd definitely get stuck in a tree daily." Then, at the mention of horns, an idea struck Dani. "You're an unicorn," she said. "What if you could heal the tree?"

The stallion chuckled, cyan eyes taking in all he could see of her. "I'd gladly help you out of the trees if you got stuck in them." Noctis nudged her, careful of where the still very sharp horn went.
"I-I've never thought of that.." he blinked, having not realized how special either of them were. "I don't know if I can heal anything though.." Noctis was mildly surprised and confused at this new idea. "Can all unicorns heal things?" maybe she knew more about unicorns than he did.

When Noctis first nudged her, Dani felt a wave of awkwardness wash over her. However, her initial reaction over, or rather, beaten down and dismissed, she laughed and nuzzled Noctis in return. "Thank you in advance, then. I'm glad I don't have to worry about getting stuck anymore."
"Um," Dani answered, taken aback. "Well, I-I only know one unicorn, my adopted uncle, Taiyaung. I always thought that all unicorns could heal, I mean, I've never heard of one who couldn't. But I-" she stopped, then composed herself. Noctis's ignorance about his kind's abilities had caught her off guard and put her on the spot. "Well, I've always been told that all unicorns have the potential to heal, but I suppose that the power could lie dormant if a Soquili never learned how to use it."
