Mimi and Reggie had decided to give a relationship with one another a shot. But there were complications that needed to be addressed. They both knew it.
It was all Reggie could think about.
He prowled around the living room, just pacing for a little while as the others got themselves breakfast and went about their mornings as usual. None of them had any idea what had been happening those past few weeks. That two Temeo in the house had decided to become more than just friends like all the others.
Like they had broken some kind of secret house code.
Sighing, he slipped away from the others, heading to the front down and outside as quickly as possible. Spreading his long wings he took to the air, gliding off to meet with Mimi, who had gone ahead of him to make it seem like they were both doing other things not related to one another.
They met up at the park.

Mimi looked over at Reggie, watching him land a few feet away in the grass. Smiling, she waved at him with her two tails, letting them sway about behind her happily. They were more delighted than her mind, though.
She couldn't help but wonder what they were going to do now. Maybe living in the moment wasn't the best idea all the time. They had gotten together without giving the multitude of possible complications any thought.
Not that she cared. She didn't want to take back what had happened the other night. She just knew it was going to be hard work figuring everything out now.
Liking him too much, she was unwilling to end their relationship just because the rest of the house might not approve of it. If they couldn't figure out what to do, then to hell with them.
They could be Romeo and Juliet against the world if need be, without the death in the end.

"Hey beautiful," he said fondly to her, moving quickly to get himself near her body so they could be one again. He nuzzled her neck, letting her rub against him in return as he smelled her hair. Her shampoo was the best scent in the world to him now. It didn't matter that the other girls in the house all used the same shampoo. He still felt that she smelled the best.
But maybe he was biased.
He sat beside her, watching how she moved to get as close to him as possible while still have room to look at him when needed. It would be a very close up, cozy chat between the two of them.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, meaning about all that had happened.

"Hey yourself," replied the lovely purple female, watching her mate fondly. It was so nice just being able to show him her affection without worrying about what he was going to think of her.
She already knew.
Nuzzling against him, she kept her head against his chest, hearing his heart beat for a few seconds before he shifted to get on with the discussion. She then got beside him, curling her tails around his body to make sure at least something remained linked.
"I feel... confused," she said softly, shaking her head, "I hadn't though about the rest of the house. Are we supposed to... tell them?"

"Yeah," Reggie sighed, "I don't know. They might not like knowing that we're... together. But I think it would also be bad to just hide it from them. Would they be more upset about us being together, or us hiding our relationship from them? I mean, no doubt they'll find out eventually."
He shook his head, his scarf shifting slightly in the faint breeze. It was glistening dimly as always, unaffected by the awkward feelings inside its owner.
Why should it care? It was just a scarf.
Reggie wouldn't mind being so care free. "Maybe we're thinking too much into things. I mean... what's the harm?"

"Yeah, but what if they don't get upset, but things change? I don't want to be treated differently. I mean... it might make some of them uncomfortable. Or jealous. You know?"
She sighed as he stared at her. She wasn't being clear enough.
"It might be strange. I know I would feel awkward living in a house with two Temeo acting all lovey dovey with one another all the time... I would find it really uncomfortable to have them there all the time, just... flaunting their relationship in my face, even if that wasn't what they thought they were doing!"

"I guess that makes sense," Reggie said, now eyeing the ground.
It would be weird to have to watch them adore one another all the time, every day. He wasn't sure he would want to put the others through that. He didn't know them all that well. They could always turn against him easily if they really wanted to. Like he had corrupted Mimi into loving him and was some kind of Temeo pimp.
That would be bad.
"Maybe we shouldn't say anything... but... would they really take it so badly? We could try to be discrete about it..."

"Maybe we could... I don't know," she said softly, "Maureen really wants a mate. I know a lot of them do. Seeing us together might upset them, even if they don't say anything about it, you know? I don't want to make them uncomfortable. I know when Tori and Kari had their baby Tori was over a lot. It made a lot of us feel like we would never find the right guy. I even talked about it with Darcy. I feel like I would be a total... I don't know... b***h to flaunt my mate around now, after saying all those things to him about how much I didn't like seeing Tori and Maureen together."
She looked at the male, wondering is he thought she was being a complete idiot for not wanting to tell them just because of a conversation she had with a good friend of hers a long time ago.
It sounded nuts.

"Hey," Reggie said quickly, "don't talk about yourself like that, even in theory. You're a perfect Temeo and no one would think differently of you no matter what. Darcy knows you. He'd be happy for you! Come on, don't look so down, we'll figure this out. If you really think it would be awkward, we can hide it. Just for a little while," he smiled at her.
"Come On! Cheer up. I promise it'll work out. We'll find a way to tell them and then we won't flaunt things, okay? For now, how about I just tell Roscoe about it? Maybe he'll be able to tell us what to do?"
He gave her another nuzzle, wanting nothing more than to make her cheer up.

Mimi cuddled Reggie fondly, giving him a Temeo kiss to the cheek before resting her head against his shoulder. She felt his wing move around her body and she giggled.
It was so wonderful to have someone who could always brighten her day, even if that same someone was the reason she was worrying in the first place.
"That sounds good," she agreed, "Roscoe is very even-headed... I think he'd be able to tell us what to do. And I know he wouldn't just blab to the others about this either. I'm sorry. I guess I was freaking out over nothing. I like your idea. We can go with that for a little while. Wait for the right moment."

Laughing, Reggie returned the kiss, keeping his wing around her so she knew he would always be there for her. He found it was a better use of the limb than even flying around.
"I'll tell him later," he hummed, his tone taking on a slightly more romantic note, "don't you worry. I'll take care of everything. So no more depressing talk, alright? This is a good thing between us. I'm really happy and I want you to be too." Looking away from her for a moment, he felt another blush burning under his fur.
"We have some other things to talk about too, you know," he offered softly.

"I'm so sorry," Mimi replied, "I know this is a good thing! I couldn't be more thrilled. I want to be with you forever, I hope you know that, and I am -really- happy about how things turned out. I'm just... nervous, I guess. I've never done anything like this before, you know? It's new and exciting and I guess I don't know how to act just yet."
It was true; she had no idea what she was doing. Since the start of their date she had been making things up. Hell, even weeks ago when they were just getting to know one another she was going off the cuff. Falling in love was brand new to her.
But she was enjoying herself.
"What else do we have to talk about?"

Reggie smiled, looking back at the female.
He wasn't sure how he was going to go about saying what he wanted. It wasn't the kind of conversation topic that he really knew how to bring up at the drop of a hat. But it was something that had been on his mind a lot. And now that he knew she wanted to stay with him, he was just too curious to keep it bottled up any longer.
"What do you think about... children?" he asked faintly, "I mean... do you want to have any kits? Just in general! I'm not... I mean I don't... you don't have to..." he stumbled for the right sentence, coming up with nothing. Silence took him over and he looked at the floor.

Observing her lover, Mimi continued to smile. Why had he suddenly become so awkward? She hoped she hadn't somehow made him feel uneasy with all the things she had been talking about. Being the kind of person who had no trouble speaking her mind, she often failed to know when it was a good time to stop a conversation.
She always missed the mark by at least two sentences.
Blinking, she actually found herself surprised. "K-kits?" she asked weakly, blushing like mad. She was sure it was visible through her light fur. Had she thought about kids at all? No, she wasn't sure. Did she want them?
"I don't know..." she said softly, "seeing all the babies that have grown up in the house... makes me want them... but do you think I'd make a good mother?"
