what kind of tunes do you listen to when your reading slashy?
i personally prefer something a little angsty like staind or crossfade, or something sorta romantic like Maaya sakamoto
what kind of music just screams out 'pretty boys doing pretty things' to you?

Generally I just listen to the same old rubbish I always do (early to mid 80s pop and ska-punk stuff), but I think Silverchair make nice slashy music.
Current music - the sound of football commentary, such fun. Not.

My music changes with each story I write, sometimes each chapter. For this part of Arabian Nights I keep listening to Poison by Alice Cooper, and for Tainted I'm thinking of Broken by Seether and Amy Lee.
Right now I'm listening to AFI

I listen to angsty emo stuff. Usually Dashboard Confessionals, Silverstein, The Black Maria... but sometimes I prefer silence while reading.

When reading I block out all music, but when writing or drawing I listen to stuff that relats to the story or pic

It always peeves my brother when I tell him to listen to the tv on head phones or turn his gameboy sound off. He can't complain because it's my room. Hm though I've always pictured Savage Garden to be a bit slashy. Don't know why, really. I just do. I think it was the whole "I believe you can't control or change your sexuality" line in Affirmation that did it.

Generally I just tune out the sound of his voice and then he has a fit because I haven't been listening to him *sigh*

Well, when I am reading songfics, I am looping the song until I finish it (you would not BELIEVE the weird crap on my iTunes because of this system) and when I am not, I tend to be listening to the soundtrack of the fandom I am reading. Makes it a nicer visual.

I can't listen to music while I'm reading, either. I love music, though, and usually end up coming up with songs that remind me of certain pairings.
Actually slashy songs, though.. hmm. 'Telling Them' by Starsailor isn't a huge favorite, but it's actually about a couple planning to come out of the closet. Matchbox Twenty's 'Bent' isn't truly slashy, but I like to think it is. 3nodding
Now that I think about it.. who's seen the ending to Saiyuki Reload Gunlock? 'Mitsumeiteitai' is a beautiful song, and with the images and the translation.. it can't possibly be about friends! *deny, deny stressed *
