They'd both decided after dealing with mounds of paperwork that day that they could both use a drink. So he'd suggested they head over to Lou's. He wanted to check up on his friend again and it was late enough that there shouldn't be too many people around. Maybe he could even convince Lou to let them stay after he closed, the older man would be more willing to talk like that he'd bet.
Garin seemed to be up for making Lou talk too. He at least got that Riley was worried about him and suggested he talk to him in the first place.

He pulled the door to the bar open, holding it for Riley to let the other male go first. It had been Riley's idea to get drinks but he'd been the one to insist on going to Lou's after listening to the red head go on for a bit about wanting to check up on him. Bars were good places to get lost in anyways; be it lost in a glass, conversation or a game or two of pool.

There were still a few people around so he knew he couldn't poke Lou yet. "wanna grab a pool table and i'll go get drinks?" He looked over at Garin with a grin. "Could play a round or two until it clears out?"

"We could... Or, if you'd like, we could play a round or two of 21 at a table of our own. I brought my deck of cards." He smirked, tail swishing behind him as he tucked his sunglasses into his pocket, glancing over at Riley.

"That sounds better." HE grinned. At least Garin was as good as him at that. Instead of pool where he usually won. "Probably could even bet Lou to play with us later too."
He told Garin to grab them a table and he went to go see about drinks.

He took a seat at a table, hanging his coat on the back of his chair before rolling up his sleeves. Once he was straightened out and settled he pulled out his deck of cards, beginning to shuffle. He'd deal once Riley was back at the table with their drinks and hopefully they'd make a good time of it.

He got two drinks that he'd figured out Garin liked and that he'd started liking on occasion too. Lou was happy to see them and he told the other man that he had to come talk to them before he closed up.
With the drinks in hand he came back to the table and grinned. "You look comfortable"

"Because I am comfortable." He smirked, tail swishing back and forth behind him. "Now make yourself comfortable. I should've had enough time to stack the deck..." His smirk turned into a teasing grin as he dealt two cards for Riley and two for himself, setting the remainder of the stack between them.
(( Going to roll 2d10. 1's are aces and 10's can count as 10, J, Q, K. *was going to generate random numbers between 1-11, but you can only do those one at a time* We can do that for 'hit me'. XD ))

He set the drinks down and shrugged his jacket off. Once he'd made himself comfortable he scooped up the cards that Garin had delt him. "Got that drink ya like. Can get more whenever we want."

"Which one of the drinks I like?" He smirked as he pulled his glass over to him while glancing at his cards. Saying nothing he reached over to draw a third... He was going to have to start shuffling better.

"That one" He grinned and motioned at the drink. "Could take a sip and see if i got it right?" He hoped he had. Lou was good at remembering those sorts of thing.
He eyed his cars and picked up another one.

He eyed the cards in front of him, tapping his fingers lightly on the table as he contemplated whether or not he wanted to pick another one, doing so at the last minute. He then looked over the one he'd drawn, closing his hand only to reach out and sip at his drink. "Mm... A little strong tonight, but good." He nodded. "Going to draw another or ready to see what we've got?"

"Nah, i think i'm done." He folded his hand together. He didn't want to risk getting something too big. "Have to ask lou to not make'em so strong next time."

He spread his own hand out on the table. "Eighteen." He'd gotten lucky enough on the last draw to not go over, but not lucky enough from the looks of things. "Your turn to shuffle." He smirked. "You'd better do a better job than I did with the cards."

"Lucky break on my end" He laughed. Winning by one card was close. Usually that's what he lost by.
Scooping up the cards he shuffled them again. He hoped he remember how to enough that he could get the cards separated. Once he was satisfied he passed out two cards for each of them.
