 She didn't know how she'd managed it, but she'd finally escaped the watchful eye of not only Etsi but Adutsi Nacio too! And so Tsis'Newadi was happily prancing towards the Kawani Village that Ever and Evening Night wandered to so often. Her little chest was puffed out with pride when a butterfly happened to flit across her path. Like any child, her attention was divided and she went chasing after it happily.
"Oi! Come back 'ere kamama," she said with a nickering giggle. Her tan and red tipped wings flared out to keep her balance.

Where was she?
Ijn stood on the just outside a large cluster of teepees like the one she lived in. She had never seen this many in one place before though. In fact she had only ever seen her own home. She sighed and looked back at the trees that she had come from then to the cluster of homes where her father's friend had just run off into like she knew the place.
"Amal...why'd you leave me hear?" She asked softly knowing nothing would hear her. With one last look at the forest she started off keeping her eyes peeled for signs of danger or Amal. What she saw she hadn't been expecting.
A foal like her only with feathers. "Bird wings...?" She tilted her head to the side slightly at the sight. She had seen others with wings before but only full grown horses. Never one her size.

She caught the sound of the other filly's voice on the wind, completely forgetting about the orange sulphur butterfly she'd been going after. A merry smile bloomed and she bounded over to the other one. She noticed that she didn't have wings like her older sister, Tsis'Dihi, but her blue eyes were still sparkling with joy at seeing another her size and not related.
"'ello there. T'e name's Tsis'Newadi. Wanna play," she asked flicking her pale tail back and forth. Straight and to the point like her Doda.

She looked nervously at the other foal. She spoke a bit strangely but it wasn't too hard to figure out what she wanted. "M-my name's Ijn ma'am. Nice to meet you." She said not sure whether someone her own age would be a ma'am but it was what she had been taught to say. She supposed it did not really matter much at all as it was simply a greeting.
"And...I would like to...but..."Her voice trailed off and her eyes drifted over to look at the teepees once again. She should look for the missing lioness shouldn't she or at the very least wait for her? She looked back and forth from the village to Tsis'Newadi trying to make up her mind.
"Ummm...if...if we don't go...too far I'm sure it would be all right..."

Her tail continued to wag behind her, though the term ma'am seemed weird. "Ah'm no' so old te be a ma'am yet," she stated with a giggle. "Ah jest go' ou' of t'e baske' a few weeks ago. But it's nice te mee' ye, Ijn."
Then her tail stopped moving as she canted her head to the side in puzzlement. Go too far? She's just sneaked miles away from her family, what harm was there in being out from the watchful eye of family? "Oi, we'll stick by if'n yer scared," she said teasing. She felt that this filly needed to go off by herself too and enjoy the freedom for awhile, so long as you always know how to get back.
She looked around their surroundings and noticed a few puddles of water in the distance. Splashing around sounded like fun and so proposed the question to the other one. "We coul' play over there," she motioned with her head. She made sure it wasn't too far from the village for the other one's sake.

Just out of the baskets and she was already so brave. She sighed quietly shaking her head a little. It was just like her siblings, bouncing about a few hours after coming out. It was starting to seem that she was the only one that wasn't like that.
She put a smile back on her face not wanting to dwell on things that could easily ruin a day. The smile became genuine as the winged filly spoke again. "Thank you." She said very glad that she seemed to understand. So few realized that she was honestly afraid of being alone. It was dangerous to be by yourself after all.
Ijn followed the motion with her eyes. She spotted the patches of water then looked back to the village. It didn't seem to far away and Amal would be able to find her there. "Alright!" She answered excitedly. Playing was always nice. "Sounds like fun."

"Yay," she shouted loudly before bounding on over to where the water and mud just waited to be played. She doe-jumped off her hooves and landed right in the muck causing it to splash and spray outwards. It covered her legs and a few flecks on her flanks and wings.
She turned those innocent blue eyes on Ijn, waiting to see if she'd join in or would sit this out. Worse case, they'd play tag or chase the local bugs. She didn't mind either way as long as they were both having fun.

Ijn hung back watching as the winged filly leapt straight into the mud. She watched as the gimey brown stuff flew everywhere and she wasn't so sure this was such a good idea anymore. She was pretty certain her father would be a bit upset if she came home covered in mud.
It looked like fun though.
Pushing her father's stern face from her mind she bolted over towards the mud puddles. She jumped and landed rather ungracefully. The mud splattered about and she slipped and fell. "It's slippery!" She cried in surprise. She had been through mud before but she had always been careful.

She glanced over at her companion with a cheeky grin. "Oi, Ah see. Ye don't 'ave t'e wings te keep ye balanced." She carefully stepped over to Ijn and helped her back up on her hooves, shoving her nose against the other's hindquarters.
Once the other was back on steady stilts, she let out a nickering giggle. "Ah'd tell ye te be careful noa, bu' lot of goo' that'll do ye, righ'?" She lifted up one hoof and stomped it into the mud, spraying the pale filly with the muck.

She laughed slightly feeling a bit embarrassed. "They help you keep balanced?" She questioned as she got to her feet with assistance. She hadn't known that they were good for that. It had always seemed to Ijn that wings were only good for flying.
She smiled a bit when she was splashed with the muck and laughed. "Well, I think being careful will keep me from falling again, right?" Her smile grew in size before she copied Tsis and stomped into the mud as well.
So this was how you played in the mud? She liked it, it was fun.

She giggled and flared her wings out as far as she could, showing them to Ijn. "Yep, yep. They're quite 'andy things, though they do 'old ye back when ye're runnin' and ye 'ave te keep them as close te ye as possible."
She stomped her little hooves rapidly in the mud, letting it splash and fly all over the place. The underside of her wings were now getting speckled with the muck. "Yep, Ah think so," she said with a cheeky grin. "'ave ye never done this 'fore? Ye're parents will make a face, bu' Ah always say do what's t'e most fun for ye."

Her bright eyes sparkled as the filly opened her wings. They were so pretty and useful it seemed. She didn't quite get how they could hold someone back from running though. You ran with your legs, how could wings on your back make it harder?
She didn't bother thinking on it as the mud was starting to fly again. Giggling she stomped into the mud a few more times only sending the muck up to her knees. "No. I try to stay away from puddles if I can she." She answered with a smile. "You don't think they'll be made at me...?" She glanced down at her mud covered legs. She said that they would make a face, but what did that mean exactly? A pleasant face or an unhappy and disgusted one followed by shouting?

She seemed to think on this for a few heartbeats. She didn't know the other filly's parents, so couldn't judge the reaction. "Well, we coul' take a quick jog over te t'e river te clean up. That way only yer parents will be upset that ye're wet." And the river wasn't that far from the village. She didn't think anyone would miss them too much if they did a little bit of exploring.

Her mood improved at this. "Really?" That was great. By the time she got home from the village she would be dry and there would be no fuss made at all. "That would be wonderful." She said with a large smile on my face. "My dad won't get mad if I'm a little wet he'll just wonder if we took the river path back home."
