I thought I should make this seeing as some news came out today razz

A character from Classic Doctor Who and a friend of Sarah Jane will be in SJA! Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, played by Nicholas Courtney. Also, the Sontarans make a return if the pictures taken are any news! (which, when you have a sontaran walking under an umbrella, it is) How will Sarah Jane handle Sontarans with just herself and her kids? (kids as in Luke, Maria and Clyde, as well as the new girl I think that is being introduced)

Quote:
The returning character is Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, played by Nicholas Courtney. The character - who for much of the classic series was the commanding officer of the UK branch of UNIT, and one of the Doctor's closest allies - first appeared in 1968 opposite the Second Doctor, and went on to appear in stories with the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Seventh.

Courtney has also played the Brigadier opposite the Sixth and Eighth Doctors in officially-licensed audio dramas from Big Finish Productions.

The same Sarah Jane Adventures story will also apparently see the return of the Sontarans, seen in several classic series stories and more recently in series four of Doctor Who. Samantha Bond is also believed to be returning as Mrs Wormwood, the character she played in the pilot episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Episode titles - looks like the Bane will be returning! They did say they wanted revenge or something razz

2.1 & 2.2: The Last Sontaran

2.3 & 2.4: Day of the Clown

2.5 & 2.6: Secrets of the Stars

2.7 & 2.8: The Mark of the Berserker

2.9 & 2.10: The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith

2.11 & 2.12: Enemy of the Bane

The episode "The mark of the Berserker" reminds me of the Doctor Who story "The MArk of the Rani" ... Clowns ... I hate them ... There's another episode with Sarah Jane Smith in the title, Secrets of the Stars sounds like the Star-poet thing again, and obviously - sontarans, probably the last of that battle fleet. Although, they clone, so there might be more.
