I'm [ J u s t ] an enigma

Name :Joel Ryan Callēndentē
X-x-X-x
Gender : Male
Age : Seventeen Eighteen
Year : Seventh
House : Ravenclaw
Ethnicity : British
Hair/Eye Color : Sandy Blond Hair, Gray-blue eyes
Wand: Fifteen inch, mahogany, with grindelow hair
Appearance:
With dark blonde hair usually teased into a ducktail, a fringe fau-hawx, or on his lazy days just pumped into a semi-pompador. Since Joel has a love for swimming and is often outside, he has a rather nice tan, but is still white enough to be considered white.
Standing at a relatively tall six foot one, Joel towers over most, spare his best make Sezer, Joel likes showing off his height with good clothes. Never wearing dirty or town clothes, Joel has an almost obsession with his appearance, but not so much that he would fix his hair instead of helping a friend with their homework.
With a decent, but not amazing frame, Joel enjoys some sports, so he has a bit of a toned body. Though, Joel is about two cans short of a six pack.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Pet : Before Joel was born, the Callendente's were given a black lab as a wedding gift. However, the dog was more of Joel's friend, since his mother was always running the Bed and breakfast, and his father was always at work. The dog was originally named Orphis, but after Joel turned seven, and was on a paranormal obsession, Joel renamed his favorite friend Banshee. However, with a small run-in with a car, Banshee died during Joel's early days at hogwarts.
Home Life :
Being an only child, life in london gets rather lonely. Since he was little Joel had always been seeking attention, even though his mother took great care of him, he never had anyone his age to spend time with. Of course, once in a while a family will stay at the house and someone his age would come around, but because of his rather interesting quirks, they never really liked him.
Joel hardly ever cosidered his house his home. Because of all the people coming and going, Joel never felt like the house was his own. His mother was always working, tending the guests in the middle of the night, always washing towels, and she only had time for him late at night, or as he got older when he started to help out.
Good thing he did start to help out, because due to immense stress, and many other insane factors, Joel's father, James, died of a heart attack at the age of 38. Joel was twelve when that happened, and was actually in the room when his father died. Good thing Joel is a pleasant person, or his second year at Hogwarts would have been painfully pessimistic.
That is, until his mother discovered that she had pancriatic cancer. Eloise Callendente died in November of 2028.
Diving deeper : Joel is socially insane. Being both an extrovert, and an optomist, Joel is close to being an outcast. At home, Joel would imerses himself into books, movies, and just about anything to distract himself from the responsibility that will come ahead. Being kind to his friends, Joel always keeps the people he loves first, even though he is obsessed with having good hair.
Being a cook for what now is his bed and breakfast has really helped with a lot of things. One would be that Joel really enjoys making any sort of food. Baking, sauteeing, frying, anything. However, Joel has many “battle scars” from his cooking, including many on his hands, and the one on his foot.
Since Joel is rather impatient, and very picky, books are hard to find, so when he finds an author he likes, he goes a bit insane and will read the same author until he has read their entire collection's works. From Micheal Chriton to Dean Koontz, Joel has gone through many interesting fads, even once having his belly button pierced, but that didn't last long before he let it grow back in, because it was “to much of a hassle.”
Joel is a big kid running away from responsibility. Never needing to be worried about finances, friends, relationships, nothing, he never had to accept responsibility for anything but his own actions. Joel watched as his father drove himself into an early grave from stress and for the past ten years had been absolutely terrified of growing up. At one point, Joel even demanded his mother make him a peter pan costume, so he could be a little boy for even longer.
For the past many years, after Joel's mother was diagnosed, Joel took the initiative to take care of their home, even going to far as to do her job in the summer and hire new help. However, even with him growing up just a bit, school kind of reversed the entire process, making him go right back into friend mode the moment he went into school. Though, the moment he got the news, he went right into adult mode, something he absolutely hates.
Being a muggle born at first was hard. The concept for a ten year old just finding out about the wizarding world, and then having to spend most of the next seven years at school away from his family is frightening, but then the thought of meeting people his age intrigued him so.
Taking a closer look :
Almost instantly after Sezer removed his hand from Joel's shoulder, he sat straight up. A rather angered expression covered his face, his brow crumpled, his eyes stared straight ahead. From another persons view, it would seem like he was a complete other person. Unlike his usual, happy go lucky, entertaining self, he was for the first time in years, angry.
With not but his emotions running his thoughts, Joel frowned, clenching his fist around the piece of parchment even tighter, digging his short nails through the parchment, into his hand.
"The cancer came back so fast...They couldn't do anything. And....I. Wasn't. There."
Between each word that he said, he left a long pause. His teeth clenched together, his anger showed clearly in every, single, word.
At this point, he was shaking. Both with sadness and anger, Joel's entire person shook with the initial shock. His blue-green eyes had a something in them that wasn't normally there. A mixture of both deep depression and anger resided in his Iris's. The rather emotional Teenage boy had so many confusing things running through his mind.
They didn't tell me until to late. I wasn't there. I couldn't say goodbye.
After a few moments of silence, Joel ran his sleeve over his eyes, trying to calm himself down in the few ways that he could. Pain, and tears. His fingers tapped impatiently on the underside of the table, Joel's eyes drifted to his friends.
"My mum died yesterday morning."
