(The Reasoning Behind the Madness)
Why my Uniform Layout is in Existence.
Most readers are easily bored by simplistic or unoriginal layouts, overwhelmed by bright or disorganized ones,
and simply confused by overly-complex layouts. To absolve the Guild Newsletter of common problems such as these,
I came up with a Seven Point Plan to make an Easy-to-Read, Aesthetically pleasing ensemble. Wow, I sound professional!
To attract the reader's attention to the Title and Image (or Key Point) of each article, you keep the title and image to a central alignment.
The eyes, drawn to this larger and centralized information, should also be in the same color as any other important information, since the majority of the large fonts are in that color already and it will further attract the reader to the key points.
Any lists or forms should be kept aligned to the left so the bullets or begging of each blurb will align to look more professional and sleek.
Bolding the most important aspects or key points in a line or paragraph will tell the reader if they want to read that part or not. A reader who is bored with what they are reading will not return, but grabbing their interest successfully will give you a steady reader!
Use no more than 3 colors at a time. Always use black for the main content, a dark color for color changes to complement the lighter color, which will be the one highlighting the key points and titles.
Do not use super-light colors such as Yellow or Peach, but rather Sky Blue or Green, otherwise the font is difficult to read and frustrating to those with poorer site.
Streamline the font sizes! Do not keep everything a uniform size, yet do not use any more than 3 different sizes in one post. The human brain works in 3s, less is dull and boring to most eyes, and more becomes complex and the eye doesn't know where to go.
Please do not mess with colors if you become an author,
I will make any changes necessary to the code and keep you updated.
