Haha. So I havent been on Gaia in a bit and a half.
Ive been caught up in RL.
Ha. I dont even know if this is the right forum to be posting. But I thought I would make my tale a discussion.
Long story short. My "boyfriend" cheated on me.
And all I have been feeling is anger. Haha Its just to evil for me.
Why do people even need to feel anger and grief. Why the emotions
Haha. I could be answering these questions if I just googled the key words.

Yes, this is the perfect place for your topic, and hopefully you will gain a lot of knowlegable feedback.
An I for one am sorry to hear about your story, but rage and anger are perfectly normal to feel. Why dont you get a life-sized punching bag to eork it out on, I guarantee you'll feel better.
As for why people feel anger, that is a vast topic in it's own. I feel it is to offset your other emotions. For example, if all you knew was love, and had no disdain for anything, then love wouldnt really exist, as it is for everything. Same with sorrow and happiness. You can't have one without the other, or it would be a "hollow" emotion. And from what I hear, hollow emotions aren't at all very pleasant.
So be glad that you feel angry... just dont hurt me gonk
biggrin Well, I hope this was a good start to your topic, everybody else give your input as well.

he is right those who live with no emotions are just empty shells of them selves and well never know what being happy or sad means. also sorry if this doesn't sound right, but the feelings your feeling right now lets you know your alive.

If you weren't feeling angry it probably would be a very good sign that you're going through depression (where you often feel numb to things)- I'm with bright's comment on the matter in that sense
Also, don't you think that the whole situation is something that makes total sense to be angry about? After all getting betrayed tends to upset you. And, anger can give you power, verses sadness that would make you weak. I'm not saying that it isn't upsetting that your boyfriend would cheat on you, but obviously he wasn't that important to you (or shouldn't be) because if you aren't important to someone, then he really isn't that important to you. But, if you find out what you thought was wrong (as you did) it makes sense to be upset, in fact I think it is healthy to feel anger at the whole thing.

My dad is one of those weird old guys whose always talking in riddles. ( I suspect drugs use wink ) Anyway, he told me once that it you didn't have something to contradict the happy stuff, then you wouldn't know you were happy. He also says that earth is a good place to live, but anger and pain are what makes it not as good as heaven..... Then again, he says that if you eat a PB&J sandwich EVERY day while your growing up, you'll be over six feet tall, and I'm just sick of peanut butter. I don't know if he's right, but maybe it'll help.

brightnight360 he is right those who live with no emotions are just empty shells of them selves and well never know what being happy or sad means. also sorry if this doesn't sound right, but the feelings your feeling right now lets you know your alive. to add to this i also believe that strong emotions like love and anger are like medicine only good in small amounts. to much love or anger tends to blind people to the truth as you experienced.

I myself feel that anger is better than sadness. Trust me, I have felt both plenty of times, and nothing hurts worse than sadness... As for your boyfriend, I suggest you give him a quick kick in the nuts for cheating on you. Always works when I want to get back at a friend mrgreen
