It had almost reached the end of the time limit that she had been given by one of her two kings and she had covered more ground than she had ever thought she would in her life. She was growing weary and, since parting with her last traveling companion, she had spent far too much time alone in contemplation. If she didn't find Kindoro'ardhi by tomorrow she would head back, having no other choice.

The cubs were finally old enough to be wandering around a bit and she'd thought it would be nice to let them do just that. Tamba was teaching Chang the finer points of stalking while she watched the little ones play in the grass.
She'd forgotten just how nice it was to watch her own little ones romping around with each other. Tamba would be proud that they were already learning how to pounce on each other and how to get away from the pouncings.

His tail twitched back and forth behind him as he watched the movement of the strange creature from the tall grass that he'd 'hidden' in. Whatever it was, it was big like momma... With colors a lot like hers and his sister's. He watched... And at what he thought was the perfect moment he pounced, tiny claws scratching at a large leg.
Somehow she had been caught off guard and the next thing she notice was a small, annoying pain shooting up her leg. She snarled, turning on the little ball only to take chase as it took off. It had been a while since she'd eaten... Whatever attacked her would make a good snack.

She looked around her feet and noticed something out of place. Ariza was watching a butterfly, Shujaa was huddled under her .... "Kivuli?" Where had he gotten off to.
He couldn't have gotten far, he wasn't that big, but she'd have to remind him again not to go wandering off without her. "Kivuli! Get back here, before i have to hunt you down."

"Mooommaaa!" He cried out as he tried to scramble away from the big thing chasing him over to trip over awkward paws that had not yet mastered the art of stealthy running. "MOOMMAA!"
"Your momma won't save you now." She growled, placing her paw on the cub's tail once she caught up to him. "She obviously taught you no manners or common sense; attacking an adult. Are you a fool?"

She growled as she heard her son's distressed voice. Nudging Shujaa into a bush along with Ariza she took off toward the sound of her other little one. She wasn't about to let anything happen to them.
Seeing another lioness near where she'd heard Kivuli's voice her growl deepened and she leapt at the other lioness, intending to knock her away from her cub.

Before she knew it she was barreled into, quickly rolling to her back ad she hit the ground so that she could extend her claws and bring her paws up to swipe at her attacker before rolling to her feet. She had not come this far just to fall because of a stray cub.
Once his tail was released he got up, scrambling back to where he knew his brother and sister were. It would be safe back there... And maybe momma wouldn't yell at him when she got back if he was already there.

She ducked the paw and stepped back as the lioness got up. She'd seen Kivuli go running so he was at least alright. So long as the other lioness didn't ...
"Mwin....?"

She snarled once back on her paws, pausing as she heard uncertainty... And her name. She glanced up at the other female, body still tense and ready to attack should she need to, familiar face or not. "Is this how you treat everyone who travels the earth to find you? I should have known that little brat was yours..."

She half sneered. "So you all really have turned into savages. Attacking a cub, really?" Mwin should have known better. She'd been raised better than that. You never laid a paw on a cub unless it was to help it.
"Kivuli is no more brat than you are. You two should have gotten along fine"

At that she smirked, straightening herself out. "Do you really think I'd stoop as low as attacking a cub, Kindoro? I was just going to scare him a bit. It's not my fault your little one doesn't know that attacking something larger than it isn't a good idea unless it's in a group." She snorted, shaking her head. "Some things never change."

"He does know better." And he was going to get reminded of that as soon as she found her way back to him. "He just, has a bit of a mind of his own." Like most of her little ones it seemed.
Some things never did change. Mwin seemed to be the same lioness she'd always been. "What is it that you came looking for me for? If Father sent you to try to talk me into coming back you know what the answer will be"

"You must be very proud then... It sounds like he takes after you." She smirked, finding that look fade as the other lioness asked why she was here. "No... Mfalme Rasi did not send me. I asked to leave... To tell you..." She closed her eyes, tilting her head high. "To tell you of your mother's passing. I thought you should know. She died with honor."

"My ...." Her ears fell as she sat back on her rump. She had loved her mother dearly, it had hurt worse knowing that her mother agreed with her being banished from the pride with Tamba than it had knowing that her father's agreement. "Something happened then, to everyone?"
Her mother would not have died on a hunt. She was much too strong for that.

"We were attacked..." She spoke softly, voice reminiscent of the young lioness she had once been when she had played alongside Kindoro ages ago. "At night while we all slept. Your mother... Went back to see that all had made it out. When I left the pride was in mourning."
