Dipping his head he drank lazily, the cool fluid sliding down his throat was wonderful as it cleared the travail dust away. It had been days since he had last stopped for a rest and this area with its lush forest and patches of open grass, coupled with the long sweeping bend of the river that wound its way through the area, seemed like the perfect rest stop for the weary travailer. Lifting his head after taking his fill he gazed around, grey eyes moving over the area.
He half thought he recognised the river, though the last time he had seen it he had been upstream atleast a full day's walk. Tunring his gaze to the sky he pondered the question. Yes... he had met Charlamagne, the petty grey spotted mare. He still regreted leaving so soon... but as had often happened, he had been called away by the fleeting winds.
Shaking his head, upright blue mane swaying, he dipped his head again, eyes closing as he sucked up the fresh liquid. He would rest here and maybe he mioght even see her again. He wondered how she was doing.

It had been awhile since she convinced her mother to let her away from the teepee on her own, but now the little Marsiela found her way to the stream that was near her home. She giggled as she looked at her reflection in the water before taking a big leap and landing with a splash. The spotted filly nickered lightly as she splashed about in the cool liquid for a while before stopping and looking down stream. Ever since finding out about the stream, she had always wondered what was further down, her mother never really taking her too far. With a quick toss of her head, she went trotting down the stream.
Making her way down, she constantly checked the position of the sun, knowing her mother wouldn't be very happy if she came home too late. Getting further down the stream, she saw a large figure up ahead, which caused her to pause in her tracks. Was this other another soquili? If so, were they nice or mean? Well, she figured that she would never figure out just standing there, so she took off in a run toward this other.

Something caught his attention as it came barrelling over the brow of the hill and raced down, headed in his direction. Lifting his head, water dripping from his muzzle, he pricked his ears forwards.
Maybe it was because he had just been thinking of her, but the small figure looked amazingly like the grey mare of before. Only.. shorter.. and blond.
Stepping away from the river bank he stood patiently waiting for the youngster to reach him, wondering what it wanted, if indeed it had even seen him yet. Though the youth's energy made him smile. It had been a long time since he had met any of the newer generation. The last one had fair ignored him.
As the racing youth drew close he nickers a soft greeting. "Hello there. Going somewhere in a hurry?" His deep voice rumbled in an easy chuckle, expression curious and friendly and despite the heavily muscled body he didn't seem in the slightest bit dangerous.

Getting closer, she noticed that the other was indeed a soquili, which caused her to smile widely. Wanting to meet this possible new playmate even more, she hurried her pace, tail whipping behind her.
Soon enough, she approached the large blue male and came to a skidding stop, looking up to the male as he gave her a greeting. So far, he seemed nice. She had noticed the odd marking on his chest and eyed it for a while before remembering her manners. "Oh, hello. No, not really. I just saw you from far far away and wondered who you were." She said with a wide smile.

Cloud grinned as the youngster stared at his chest for a moment. He had long become used to such a reaction, the cloud and hearts marking appeared to attract most soquili attention for at least a little while. He vaguely wondered if he really was that unusual. Of course he had met Ayden and they had found others like them, with symbols and the heart-noses. But there must be a lot less of them than he had guessed, or at least, they kept to themselves..
Chuckling as the filly finally looked up and spoke he bobbed his head. Punk mane rippling with the movement. "Ah I see. Well, my name is Cloud Runner and I am a wandered from the far north. What about you?" he asked in return, grey eyes warm and friendly.

Her green eyes watched him bob his head when he introduced himself. His hair seemed rather short, it was even shorter than hers. It was cool how it stood up like that, hers always seemed to fall in front of her face, especially when she didn't want it too. Returning her attention back to him rather than his mane, she smiled widely at him. "It's nice to meet you Mr. Cloud Runner Sir! My name is Marsiela Elric and I come from up North too, near the base of the mountains over there." She said, motioning over to where the mountain's silhouette could be seen against the sky line.
