I can't believe its over already! gonk
Well , out of the Nuwho series so far, it surpasses them all in my opinion!

So now that its finished, its only proper to start discussing the series as a whole.

How was it for all you lot? Favorite episodes? Favourite moment? What episodes turned you into an emotional crying wreck? What episodes made you scream 'Damn You RTD!!'? What did you think of the Daleks being in the Finale YET again? ETC. etc...

My Favourite Episode had to be Fires of Pompeii . It showed Donna's real amazing character when it came to the end, and conflicting with the doctor's decision which was a nice change from Rose and Martha who but the doctor on abit more of a pedestal. I think that episode, for me, secured Donna as from then on being possibly my favourite companion.

Other Episodes that come in close second are Turn left and Journey's End. Then The Doctor's Daughter and Silence in the Library.

The Worst episode for me had to be Voyage of the Damned . Massive action thriller movies like that tried to copy is NOT my cup of tea, and got me very bored after some time. And I didn't think Astrid was all that great either.

Favourite Moments:
1. The last 10 or so minutes to Forest of the Dead (Namely the whole dialog between the doctor and River song leading up to her death and when Donna loses her husband) . This part of the series makes me cry the most. I don't know why

2. Alt!Donna in the circle of mirrors in Turn Left.

3. The whole entire Tardis Crew Driving the Tardis in Journeys End.

4. Partners in Crime Window miming scene.

5. Wasp & Unicorn Doctor Poisoned scene. (lol)

6. (I would possibly put Rose's leaving scene here but I'm still completely confused as to how I feel about the doctor dumping her back to Parallel-land or how I feel about Doctor.5)

7. Donnas mind wipe and going back to original self scene in journeys end

Favourite Characters, both major/minor! (in no particular order)

Luke Rattigan
Ross!
Jenny
River Song
Harriet Jones
Annnnnd Basically the entire 'Children of Time' team.

You Guys don't have to write as much as I seemed to have rattled off!

Wall of text scares me D;

I do have to agree Fires of Pompeii was a brilliant episode but I liked Midnight a lot and Silence in the Library/ The Forest of the Dead, hard time choosing on those.

Worst episode would have to be The Unicorn and the Wasp. There were some good parts to it but over all I just didn't get into the episode.

Disappointments: Donna of course, Rose getting stuck with 10.5 though it did give some closure to the whole Rose/Doctor crush, and the next Christmas Special with the Cybermen.

I have a lot of favorite moments in the S4 top would have to be.
1. Partners in Crime when Donna and the Doctor get into it that Miss Foster is like, are you two finished now?
2. Ending of Partners in Crime Donna "Your not mating with me Sunshine!"
3. The Unicorn and the Wasp: How the Doctor got poisoned.
4. Planet of the Ood, the scene where Donna heres their song but the Rick Rolled version of it.
5. The Stolen Earth "Harriet Jones: [holding up her ID] Harriet Jones. Former Prime Minister.
Dalek: Yes, we know who you are. "

Characters I liked
Jenny, I cant say that enough I hope she returns because she was brilliant!
Donna, once again pitty what they did to her.
Dalek Caan, probably the only Dalek I will ever like.

Other things: I do have to give props to RTD on how he handed the entire cross over in the Tardis on Journeys End and how he brought Davros back other than that DAMIT WHY DID YOU END IT LIKE THAT scream

Favourite Episode?

Fires of Pompei was glorious, as was The Stolen Earth. Pompei probably scrapes it because of the heart-wrenching climax though.

Voyage of the Damned and Journey's End get honorable mentions as possibly some of the most awesomest TV out there. Though I do agree-at first I was kind of 'meh' about the Christmas Special. I think you just need to watch both of those episodes again, with popcorn, and the volume cranked up to max. Pure, unadulturated, good times occur then =D

Clunker of the season goes to the Doctor's Daughter. It was always going to be a volatile subject area to touch but it was ruined for me through one of the most banal and contrived plot devices ever, a bland storyline and the waste of some of the greatest new aliens they've had on the new series. The beginning made no sense, the end made even less sense and nothing at all really happened in between. Needless to say, if Jenny ever, ever turns up on the show again I'm going to start worrying about it's future. Bah.

The Unicorn and the Wasp gets a dishounarable mention for it's miserable attempt at pastiche which just came off looking like the team were mocking the murder-mystery genre. A pity, when the show has such a good history of doing them right D:

My favourite moment, though, is probably torn between Davros going all Hitler on us with his nihilistic ranting in the final episode and the doctor and Sky battling it out for control of his voice in Midnight.

Oh, and the Sontarans were fupping ace, too. They're welcome back anytime ;D

I hope to god we never have to see Tim Mckinnery pulling his own scalp off again though. Ick.

Season four = best season so far, easily the most rewatchable. Loved Donna, loved the Doctor, loved the stories.

Favorite episodes
:

Absolutely Midnight. The suspense and the intensity episode was phenomenal, and the acting by DT absolutely amazing. I can rewatch the episode over and over, although I've had to ban myself from doing so lest I get sick of it, like eating too much cake. I just love it so much.

Second favorite, Unicorn and the Wasp just for the sheer entertainment of it. Absolutely hilarious. It's also another episode that I've had to put a ban on rewatching.

Other honorable mentions include Partners in Crime, Planet of the Ood, and Journey's End.

Worst Episode:

The Doctor's Daughter. Not only was it an underwhelming episode, but it was missed opportunity to do something brilliant. In particular there was no reason for Martha to be in this episode, and time spent on her could've been used to develop the Doctor's character and his relationship to his so called "daughter".

Favorite Moments in no particular order:

1. Midnight: When the Doctor was possessed by the alien Midnight creature.

2. Midnight (again): When the passengers began to turn against the Doctor and question him and his motives. It was like RTD reached into my head and plucked the plot from my thoughts. It was what I had been waiting for in Doctor Who.

3. Partners in Crime: Miming scene through the windows from across the room.

4. Planet of the Ood: The giant claw chasing the Doctor through the warehouse.

5. The Sontaran Stratagem: "You're just popping home for a bit and coming back, aren't you?" "Yeah. You dumbo. You great big outer space dunce."

6. The Unicorn and the Wasp: Detox scene. And Charlemagne.

Journey's End spoilers:

7. Journey's End: The whole scene with Donna meeting Doctor 10.5. "You're part human!" "Aw, that's disgusting!" "Oy!" "Oy" "Oy! Spanners!" Not to mention NEKKID TOP TENNANT.

8. Journey's End: The DoctorDonna! I love the DoctorDonna! Taking charge! Spinning Daleks! Brilliant! I never thought I'd say that I could see a female Doctor, but now, heh.

9. Journey's End: Everybody helping to pilot the TARDIS, and the towing the Earth back into place. Everything about it was just so happy, triumphant and joyous.

10. Journey's End: Donna's brain shutting down and both her and the Doctor knows what comes next. Everything after that is horribly depressing, but this is the scene that gets me choked up the most.

Favorite characters:

Private Harris. Probably nobody remembers him, but he was one of the UNIT guys who first comes across the Sontaran cloning vats and gets brainwashed into serving them. He was the bossy one. I liked him because of one line: "They can suffocate in there!" Initially I didn't give a damn about him because he's just some bossy arrogant soldier, but in that line he suddenly became human. That line made me love him. Screw Ross. Harris is awesome.

Mickey. When did he get so hot?

And Donna, because she's AWESOME in every way.

Favorite Episodes (in no particular order):
--The Fires of Pompeii
--Planet of the Ood
--Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead
--Turn Left

Other Nice Moments (also in no particular order):
--Donna demanding a salute & getting one in Sontaran Strategem
--Oh, definitely the detox scene in Unicorn & the Wasp rofl
--Donna in The Doctor's Daughter, figuring out the numbers code, naming Jenny & openly enjoying watching the Doctor react to Jenny
--Yeah, various bits in the last two episodes, although it was such a big jumble I couldn't specifically name them now.

What happens to Donna makes me too angry to really like the finale much at all.

Apologies for LONG POST but I just went to town with this thing...

Fave episodes:
- Midnight
- Silence in the Library
- The Stolen Earth
- Turn Left
- Planet of the Ood
- Fires of Pompeii

Saddest moments: Definitely Jenny's death, but with the ghosting of the girl in SitL in a VERY close second, but I have to mention to Wilf's talking to the Doctor at the end of the finale, and the death of River Song in FotD

Funniest moments: (hard to do with Donna being so awesome) tie between the miming in PiC and the detox scene (the spinning Daleks just didn't really work much for me); honorable mention to Sarah Jane's comment to Torchwood, and a nod to "Are you my mummy?" and Donna meeting Jack <3

Most shocking/unexpected: River Song knew the Doctor's name (WTF) ; honorable mention is a tie between Rose's sudden appearance at the end of PiC (got me hyperventilating for a good six minutes) and the Doctor being shot by a Dalek (I just sat there with my mouth open for an extremely long time and couldn't think straight); big nod to the mention of DoctorDonna in PotO and then it happening in Journey's End

Best cliffhanger: REGEN SCENE HAD ME FREAKED OUT; honorable mention to previews of Doctor's Daughter

I had horribly mixed emotions to the finale. I thought it was cool that the companions all got together, and then it got crowded and too many people were there. Gigantic WTF to the spinning Daleks, as that just seemed stupid, they've been reduced to playthings now. I thought I liked the Rose/10.5 together, but then you see Ten and he's just so miserable watching them kiss and his clone telling Rose that he loves her...it destroyed annihilated Doomsday's ending...
And Donna's ending was STUPID! The Doctor makes people better by seeing the good in themselves, he doesn't destroy all that in the end! DX The only thing making that ending good was Wilf. <333

Music: (from what I remember; I know there's more)
Planet of the Ood: the Ood singing & "your song is ending" scene at the end
The Doctor's Daughter: "Make the foundation of this society a man who never would" scene
Journey's End: Mixing all the spinoff themes in with DW

I know there was music in the finale that I loved as well as other things but it's all jumbled up in my head now...

Favorite/memorable moments:
- Detox scene, definitely
- the miming scene in PiC and being interrupted (their faces are hysterical)
- Donna getting saluted
- David's acting with the DoctorDonna XD
- interaction between Sarah Jane and Jack (and companions in general) XD
- Jackie's role in steering the Tardis
- "Staal the almost-undefeated-but-not-anymore-so-nevermind?"
- Jenny making the Doctor speechless

Ok so i'm going to keep mine pretty short xD

One of my favourite moments had to be the window miming scene in the first episode.

I can't decide whether i liked what happened with the Doctor and Rose yet.
I'm kinda happy Rose got to end up with A doctor but annoyed it isn't THE Doctor. And the real doctor is left all alone =[

Doctor Who finale had me crying like a baby lol
