Guess it would depend on the task. My move was fairly easy. Packing was fun as we found so many items we forgot we had or thought we had gotten rid of
Best part was I didn't have to do anything. About a week before the move my gall bladder acted up and I had to have an emergency operation to remove it. So I was out of commishion to do any lifting or cleaning and painting. Hubby and friends did all of that. Not my first choices mind you, but not much I could do.
Proved to be entertaining though. One friend got a shock because as he was removing wall paper, his trowel got stuck in the electrical outlet (he wasn't hurt) he thought the sensation was cool, so he went and did it again idiot. Hubby and another friend chose the colour of the bedroom....would you believe the 2 men actually got a rosy pink eek Yes hubby and I sleep in the same room

Wow... rosy pink? I would paint it blue or purple or something dark like that. Not pink. O.O
I'm wishing you a happy move, no matter what you say. And you should build that fort. ^^ Forts are fun.

I even suggested a light blue. But he thought I would like the pink better. I've got pictures of (what's left) of my room on facebook. Landlord still hasn't fixed the ceiling either.

I don't blame the poor dog... and yeah, I saw the pink. No offense to anyone who might like pink, but they're too pink for me. I wouldn't be comfortable in that room at all... I've got light blue walls in my room, and I love it. When I cover the windows up with blankets it gets the room looking really dark blue. It's a great meditating space for me. ^^
