Many of you are worried about the amount of activity in guild. Truth be told, it's rare I've been in guilds that are really that active. The fact so many of you are worried is a good sign.
Just keep recruiting, and keep letting me and guild know how you are. You have no idea how important the latter is - if you just talk about yourself in a thread, and we respond, that builds the bonds that make guild work. We become a community and talking is easier.
You don't need the most awesome topic to get conversation started. I'm just happy to hear about what's going on, really. And so is the rest of guild. The best part of these State of the Guild things is where I go to each of your profiles and check up on you. It's great to just see that you're active and having fun on Gaia most of the time.
Oogie has a few threads in guild that need some answering - there's a banner we've bought, and she'd like you to vote and comment on whether we should use it or not. There's also the issue of subforums, the front guild page is too crowded. Please do chime in and let us know your thoughts.
As always, feel free to recruit, the more in guild, the merrier. I actually want about 200 in guild before I feel safe and quit the "keep recruiting guys" rhetoric. But you guys have been great at welcoming new people, and I want that to continue.
One thing: we really, really need a fashion expert. You guys didn't respond too well to the "what are your favorite brands" thread, but here's the thing - fashion is one of those amazing topics where someone's expertise is clearly visible, yet everyone can comment fairly intelligently and learn. It's really important we have topics like that in guild.
Regarding topics not like that - I have a reading group set up, we're supposed to be covering Keats' "To Autumn," which is arguably the greatest poem in the English language. Please join the conversation, there isn't much of one yet.
We need a communications officer. This is pretty crucial, given that guild is getting larger and I'm stressed with a million other things.
Anything you want to do for guild or have questions about, get in touch with me or Oogie.
Thank you all for all your efforts!

I attempted to recruit a Fashionista multiple times recently, to no avail.
Also, guys, if you all vote YES on the subforums (please do!), I pledge to set it all up myself and save Seldrane the effort and time. Also, I love color schemes and organizing threads, so I would have fun with it smile

I honestly have been going around in F&S recently, and can't find that many people willing to join, or that sound... nice even. I think that people really "into" fashion aren't going to be found wondering around on some animae site, but you never know. I think we're going to need to find someone we know in real life, and convince them to get a gaia account. stressed

She's the girl we need.... But she DOES have other stuff to do in life sad

I've been around now and again, but haven't been very active due to the inactiveness of other members sweatdrop Other than that, reality get's in the way xd of course, and my education. But I'm hoping to come on a lot more as it's now summer vacation! I do have a large interest in this guild as fashion is a favoured topic (other than art in general) whee , and hopefully I'll be seeing other users around 4laugh

There still is that contest I put up, and haven't gotten much feedback. >>; I am willing to wait for more active members, though. All I need is a heads up for when I can/should start it. 3nodding

`S t r i p p e r There still is that contest I put up, and haven't gotten much feedback. >>; I am willing to wait for more active members, though. All I need is a heads up for when I can/should start it. 3nodding My suspicion is that we probably need anywhere from 20-40 more members before we get a naturally active core of members who will just join the contest. I mean, look. I could personally go to members and assemble 5 or so and a few judges to get the first one started. In fact, I'm thinking I might do that. But if it just happens naturally, that would be great. Maybe we should have a thread in which people post their dream avatars, so everyone is thinking about getting stuff for their avatars and therefore has the stuff/gold to participate in the contests at a moment's notice.
