 Katrina walked primly down the steep path. Even though it was a rough trip, she somehow managed to keep her freshly polished hooves free from dirt. She smiled, Mother would be so proud of her. Keeping her hooves in perfect condition was one of the many things Katrina held dear to her heart. First tied with how she looked and most of her family, and second, was her brother Lucifer. She wrinkled her nose at the thought of him. He was so annoying, so concerned with why he didn't have wings.
She tossed her head elegantly, loving how her hair settled right back into place. Nearing the bottom of the path, she saw the reason she had come. Her father had been after her to go here, to this silly little waterfall. Katrina had thrown several temper tantrums, but in the end had set off grumbling about how she was going to destroy her tail on barbed plants.
Now that she looked at it, it was rather pretty. Still though, she had come all this way and there was nothing really astounding about it. A little preterbed, Katrina stood in the shade under a tree, and sulked about thinking of the climb back up the trail. It was easy for her father who had wings, but for her, she actually had to walk places.

 Brian stood near by the mare watching the waterfall.He didn't know that she was standing just under the tree near him.His purpleish eyes gazed at the waterfall.He loved the sound of it and the nature.Nature was a beautiful thing.Wondering why so many people wanted to tear it down.
Hopeing to find someone different today he still didn't notice the perfect mare near by.Brian then noticed a tanish whiteish figure near him.He blinked lightly and then looked away.He didn't want the mare to know that he spotter her.Sence he was shy.

Katrina sighed in boredom, she really didn't see what was so magical about a waterfall. Trying to stop thinking about the climb back up the path, she began grooming the leaves and dirt out of her mane. She hated this wretched forest. If she got her way, she'd be living it up at some posh teepee with her mother. She sniffed once, and turned to her tail. She saw a bluish gray stallion standing in the tree's, and looked him over.
He didn't seem to be interested in her, so she returned to removing the leaves and twigs from her tail. She pulled at a particularly stuck twig and it came out, but took a very small chunk of hair with it. She fumed silently, she was so going to get her father for this. Perhaps a nice coat of pink permanent hoof polish on his hooves while he was asleep, yes, that would do the trick.

Brian then looked over and smiled lightly a bit blushing.Watching her brush her mane out he blinked at bit more.Looking away at times then looking back to her and looking her over."Do you want some help with getting the dirt and leaves out of your mane?I'd be glad to help."He wanted to be polite.
A while after he Then forgot to introduce himself."Oh yes dear please forgive me.My name is Brian.And what is this lovely ladies name?"He wanted to act like a gentalman for once in his life.His mother would be happy with him.Niele being his mother was great.She could help him.His father hardly being around and his sister never seeing her.

Katrina got out of her huff enough to hear what the stallion was saying. She was outraged, and wanted to yell and rant at him for asking such a thing, but she thought of her soothing words, Hoof Polish, Mane Glitter, and Coat Conditioner. Obviously this stallion wouldn't know that her mane and tail were sacred objects to her, that she spent 3 hours every morning getting the perfect curls in her mane, and fluffing her tail just right. She opened one eye, to assure herself that he was still there, then said,
"My name is Katrina Von Helson, very nice to meet you Brian." She paused, and added, "My mane and tail are not just a mane and tail, so therefore cannot be cleaned by just anyone." The 'just anyone' part, meant herself and her mother, and that was about it. She had a vain moment at the 'lovely lady' part, but got over herself in a hurry. She wasn't going to let a stallion she had just met win her over.

Brian watched her and backed away slowly."Nice to meet you."He blinked a bit more and sighed lightly."I'm very sorry.My mother just wanted me to act like a gentalman for once.I guess I don't know how to react as one."He looked down a little.He then looked to the water fall and listened to it."Ah.The waterfall.Isn't it beautiful?"
His mane and tail blew in the wind.His braids shifted slightly.Brian wanted to be nice about this all.It just started out as a rough start.Watching the mare a bit more."Katrina Von Helson,What a pretty name.It goes along with your personality very well."He smiled lightly.

Katrina absentmindedly blew a stray piece of forlock out of her eyes, and replied, bored, "I don't see what's so pretty about it, it's just water." She finished pulling the burrs and leaves out of her mane and tail, then took a sullen glance at the path leading out of the waterfall's little hollow. She did NOT want to go back up that thing. This was the one time she wished she had wings. Still in a bit of a huff at coming all this way for some stupid waterfall, and with this Brian fellow asking if he could help her get the stuff out of her tail, Katrina was very perturbed.
She shot a quick glance at Brian, wondering if he was making a joke or being sincere. She decided it must be a joke. After all, this stallion knew nothing of her personality, having met her only minutes ago. Katrina decided he must be trying to get himself back in her favor, instead of having her be mad at him. She let out a soft sigh, and said dutifully, "Thank you." Mother always told her to accept a compliment gracefully, that way more compliments would follow.
