She had always been told not to go off in the night. Never to approach any stranger who stumbled upon her, but curiosity got the better of her, and now the light blue, cow-spotted kit was padding along a path made of tarnished dirt. Her eyes glittered with hidden excitement as she padding swiftly across the path, following it with her head tilted to the right side.
Malchik knew quite well Mummy and Daddy would be upset about her wandering off, but she did it so often. They didn't seem to mind anymore, though she was going farther than she usually went, so that was why she thought they'd get angry with her. Mummy and Daddy were usually nice to them, and nice to each other. Sometimes they'd get into fights about things, and when they did, Malchik knew how to make them stop.
But she wasn't going to think about it. The biggest fight resulted in Mummy leaving, and that left poor Malchik crying. She never did sing after that. She wondered what would happen if she started singing again. The little female kit smiled slightly, gulping down the nervousness that was aching to escape. No one was around to hear her.
Right?

Another ulaya was, indeed, around. Instead of padding on the tan path that was beside him, he was padding among the dark forest. He was used to hiding, and avoiding every ulaya that he ran into. But tonight Ouka was actually anxious to meet someone else. There was a bounce in his steps this time. Surprisingly, he looked happy.
After meeting a certain ulaya, his thoughts were only centered around her. He was still wondering why her name was Poison. She was a very nice ulaya, and there was no sign of any danger in her features. A smile was carved onto his face as he looked somewhat excited now. Ouka wasn't aware of the scent of another ulaya, as he was too overwhelmed with the images of a beautiful, dark purple vixen.
Padding through the forest he let out a smooth sigh, closing his eyes, wagging his black tail. For once he was happy, but he still had that monstrous curse. The Full Moon wouldn't be appearing for another week, so he had time to enjoy himself, until he lost control of himself, and went on another rampage.
Like always...

She started out humming, closing her eyes, bobbing her small head. Her smile faded slowly, imagining the words of another song. She didn't think this song was sad: It was enough to make some ulaya think. Malchik thought this song would dedicate to her brother. He had so many troubles with his other sides. Wonder what he was doing now? Without her voice to calm him, he usually went violent, or his words would turn back words.
Though he was growing more. He wouldn't need her anymore. She already had an interest in someone; so what would he do without her? Malchik was very hopeful he would control his other sides, without her. Kurohi was a nice soul if you got to know him, but watch what you sing, it might cause him to suffer.
"His little whispers: Love me, love me." She sang, "That's all I ask for. Love me, love me." Malchik was affected bu the music, it reminded her so much of her brother. "He battered his tiny fists to feel something. Wonder what it's like to touch and feel something."
Then, she sang a lyric that might actually affect someone... "Monster." Her words came out like a whisper. "Creatures lie here." She started to get louder. "Looking through the windows!"

He wasn't one to listen to music. He had always listened carefully to the words, describing each lyric and forming it in the void of his past. This is why Ouka avoided anyone who had a passion for singing. They made him feel guilty for the things he did to others, and he already had enough guilt in his tainted soul. The bounce in his step wasn't really bouncy anymore. He was starting to listen to the roar of the wind, the bristle of the trees above him, and... The strong voice of... a ulaya?
Ouka's ears stood high on top his head. Alerted at the voice that drifted across the wind, he wasn't aware that it was singing. He only heard the word 'monster' --- And he immediately thought the user was arguing with someone. He identified the voice as a female's voice. She sounded childish. This female might be a bit playful, judging her voice. He hoped she wouldn't be expecting a very playful ulaya. Ouka couldn't play very well.
Trekking through the forest like a ghost, he noted the female's voice was getting louder. This time he heard 'Looking through the windows'. She had a strange vocabulary for things.
He stopped suddenly.
Peeking out of the shadows he was lurking in, he spotted a white and cyan kit. Nobody was near her, and she was talking with a beautiful voice. Wait, was she talking, or was that... singing? Her words were describing him perfectly. Ouka didn't move at all. He was stunned at her singing, her words...

Malchik had not realized someone was staring at her, surprised at the words that escaped her mouth. She was too endorsed in her words to feel the suspicious feeling that crawled up her back. Usually she was always on the alert, turning in every direction when she felt that feeling which was shivering up her spotted back. But this time she didn't take notice, and that would be her down fall.
"That night he caged her." The words left her mouth like a whisper, as if she was remembering past memories. "Bruised and broke her," Apparently these words meant something to her, because one lyric always seemed evident to her. Always familiar in some way, unknown. "He struggled clo-" Malchik paused. She scented something unfamiliar in the wind, heard something move among the eerie silence.
Her stomach instantly retracted in fear.
She swerved around quickly, looking around and eying the dark forest cautiously. Malchik noticed the dark silhouette of a strange creature. It's eyes, through the darkness, glowed pale yellow. They were staring directly at her, and when she moved, they seemed to retract in the same emotion that grew in her face. The small kit blinked, looking horrified and curious at the same time.
Who was it?

The shadowed male was surprised at the words that left this kit's mouth. They were astonishing on so many levels, made him react so much to them. It was like she had the ability to read one's mind, and knew what he was thinking at that very moment. Ouka stared at her with shock glittering in his eyes. She kept on singing, more beautiful words leaving her mouth, mesmerizing him and---
Her eyes met his in horror. The singing stopping in an instant, silence filling the last sound of noise once more. She was staring at him with mingling fear, while he returned the same expression. His body froze as her stare continued to settle on him. She didn't move either. He didn't know why, she probably would have already moved judging by his 'scary' expression.
Ouka, however, had to make the first move.
"Um," He was completely stunned by her. He battled his own body to move, and found that he couldn't yet find the right buttons on his paws. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." Ouka kept looking at her with fear in his eyes, he didn't want her to run away. She had such a beautiful voice. He actually wanted to hear more of her voice. He bet she talked with a musical tone, speaking each word like a note.

A male. So this was who had scared her from her words. Apparently Malchik hadn't been alone. What a bummer, after such a long time she had actually been looking forward to singing...
She continued her penetrating stare on him. This male couldn't be trusted, the only one she trusted was her daddy. Malchik used to trust her brother, but... Something happened that made her so scared. She had started to sing a song like that because of her brother. After what had happened when she returned home, Malchik had run away from her family's home. She actually wondered what was currently going on there. Were Mommy and Daddy having to deal with her brother's personality battles? Oh she hoped not.
They didn't deserve that.
It took her awhile to realized she had blacked out like that... And Malchik shot the male a sudden glare, sending a look of untrust. She hoped HE could understand eye language. Even if Malchik was good at singing, she could never really form conversation words just right, so she decided to just... not say them at all.

Ouka didn't know eye contact that well, but he did understand what she might be leading too. His ears drooped in disappointment. She was mute, but it didn't explain the reason of why she was singing before she noticed him. Well maybe this kit could sing their language, yet she couldn't speak the words right in a sentence. Instead of a musical sentence... Like lyrics.
He understood, and shook his head for her to understand. "My name's Ouka. I know your mute, but maybe you can tell me your name through... singing?" It was worth a shot, since Ouka never liked acquaintances all that much.

Malchik stared at him for a moment. What was the point of trusting a monster like him? The male seemed nice, but the scars that decorated his body told her something else. Could he have been attacked by some random creature? Or did he attack them, and all those scars were obtained by his attacks. One of those thoughts were correct, it's just Malchik didn't know which one.
Gulping, she started to sing a song she had dedicated to herself. Malchik. It said her name, with a bunch of lyrics hardly anyone could understand. When she was finished, Malchik looked at him and didn't smile. It would take her awhile to smile to anyone. Especially him.

Malchik. So that was her name. It was a cute name, and she had a song dedicated to her name. A smile formed on Ouka's face. "That's a cute name." He commented her casually, sounding friendly aside for the trembling that rattled through his body. Ouka always trembled when he met someone new. Strange. He only did it because he always remembered past images of dead ulaya. It was a horrible thing to go through...
"So, Malchik," Ouka decided it'd be polite if he asked her one more question. Maybe. "Why are you out her all alone? Don't you have parents?" She had to have parents somewhere. He had met kits who were abandoned by their parents, but she was nice, and a kit like her wasn't one to be abandoned.

The question took her by surprise.
Malchik flinched, angry growing in her eyes as she stared at Ouka. She didn't want to remember the horrible memory that made her leave. It had caused her to run, and Malchik wanted to forget her past life. But as much as she tried, she couldn't forget the love of family, sibling. They were both lies, and she knew it.
She took her head recklessly, eyes closed, trying to dodge the tears that welled up in her eyes.

His ears lowered, realizing what he had done to her. Poor kit. She didn't have parents, and it looked like she had a bad past...
Ouka approached her, feeling sorry for her. He knew what might happen if she got scared of him. His shadowy figure loomed over her. He sighed. "I could possibly aid you, protecting you, if you need help." Though Ouka knew he would have to flee from her on the Full Moon. He had already killed one more kit, and didn't want to kill another... Sadness glimmered in his pale yellow eyes. Why was he forced into killing that kit. She did not deserve it.
He sighed once more. "You can refuse, if you want to."

And refuse she did.
Malchik shook her head. She thought it would be okay to nod yes, but who knows how this male could easily turn out once she nodded yes. After an encounter with her brother, Malchik had lost all trust in everyone around her. She wasn't blaming her brother, but a voice in the back of her head said otherwise, and the kit sighed, looking down at the ground.
She didn't know what to do anymore. Just... didn't.

Ouka's ears flattened. He sighed, wondering if the kit actually knew of his disease. Placing his paw near her's another warm smile appeared on his dark face. It masked the sadness that whelmed his face. At least she had not accepted. Ouka actually didn't know what to do with a kit, and he didn't know what to do if she ever played. He was horrible at all those games, and he knew she wouldn't appreciate him. "Well, I can catch you something to eat then, maybe?" He also never learned to give up on things, and felt it was his duty to do at least one thing for Malchik.

This time a smile formed on her face. He was stubborn, really stubborn. Malchik knew someone willing to do something when she saw them, and he was really giving... The kit nodded slowly, looking up at him with happiness in her eyes. She really hadn't noticed that her stomach was roaring up a storm. Malchik had had something else on her mind, so she hadn't cared about it... But now that they were raged in a silent conversation, her stomach had started to get through her barrier. She didn't care what Ouka brought her, Malchik was hungry for anything.
