The story of the ages...

So many stories start with “once upon a time” as if there is an assured
happy ending. But, sitting here, the future is untold as of yet. It is ever
changing like ripples in the water. My name is Tsukiko, which means ‘child
of the moon’. As a goddess, I look over the lands of Rishma, the land of
Angels, and Mimiteh, the land of demons. Legends say that I was created
from the light of the sun and the darkness of the moon, and that I was of
their power, a so said celestial deity. But believe what you wish, it is none
of my concern.

At first, the people and creatures I created were at peace. I was happy
with what I had accomplished. They worked together. Everything seemed
to go as planned. But fate, as it turns, brought change to the lands and
with time the creatures and people began to change. The creatures to the
east grew darker in appearance, more reliant on the shadows for cover.
The humans grew paler, while their clothing began to match the shadows.
The creatures in the west changed to fit the light colored environment of
which they lived, covered in sand snow and white rock and much cover of
the forests. They grew so different that they split from one another,
forming the respective lands of Rishma and Mimiteh.

Long after this separation, a trickster, by the name of Dezoga, wanted
revenge on both lands. He had blood from both sides, and while his
parents had been shipped off to a foreign land, he had been exiled. A
vengeful wanderer, he spent his desolate life studying the nurseries,
where the eggs and free spirits were kept. On one terrible night, he snuck
into the Janelle Nursery, of the demons, and smashed as any spirit eggs
as he could find. Spirit eggs, of the power of reawakened spirits, when
smashed, disintegrate into thin air. Having found a youngster spirit fox,
he scared the youngling into teleporting him, which are one of the spirit
foxes powers, to the Volt Nursery, of the angels. There he continued his
dark slaughter of the spirits kept in the loose cages (for the youngsters
and hatchlings are kept in more well secured centers inside the fortress).
He was stopped, but the damage was already done. Both sides blamed
the other, and neither would see the facts.

Thus the war began, and as a goddess with the laws of deity’s binding me,
I had and have to watch my own creation come back together, or destroy
themselves in the process.
