Lily was sitting silently under a cherry blossom tree. The petals gently falling and dancing through the air. She looked around. "Is anyone there?" When she got no reply, her heart went heavy. "Im so lonely..."

Altair paused and tilted his head a little as he heard somebody call out. He'd been climbing trees- or trying to, but wasn't getting very far.
He batted at a few of the petals falling, some naturally and some from his constant smashing into the branches as he tried to jump onto them.
After another moment of idly sitting around, he rose to his feet and padded off in the direction of the voice he'd heard.
"Hello?" he called out, shaking a little to remove some of the petals tangled in his fur.

She stood up. "Hello? Hello? Who's there?" Her heart raced. She looked around, her eyes darting from side to side, looking for a glance of whatever called to her in reply.
"W-where are you?"

He tilted his head again, moving towards the voice calling out.
"I'm here!" he called, peering around until his eyes fell upon the cherry tree where somebody seemed to be standing.

She froze. "Are.. are you the one who called to me?" She tilted her head, staring at the dark figure in wonder.

Altair blinked his bright eyes a few times, a silly grin formed by his mouth as he all but blatantly stared.
"Well... Uh... I guess so yeah." he puffed out his chest a little and trotted towards the other figure, breaking his stride when he stepped on a stone and slipped a little.

Lily instinctively leaped in to help. "Careful!" She called, as he landed softly on her shoulder. "That was close!" She smiled an innocent little smile. She looked like an adult but her heart and mind was still that of a child. "I'm Lily." she pushed him back up and held out a small paw.

Altair jumped back at the bit of contact, blushing underneath his dark fur.
"Uh..." he cleared his throat and nodded a bit, hesitantly lifting his paw to meet Lily's. "I am Altair." He lifted his head and grinned, "You're pretty."

She turned her head shyly. "Why.. Why thank you." Her entire personality seemed to become aglow. Her mood had suddenly been lifted from what loneliness she used to feel. She glanced back towards him "You're very handsome Altair. Very handsome indeed" She smiled, purring softly.

Altair cast his gaze aside, a bit embarrassed. He turned back after a moment and cracked another grin, "Thanks."
He looked around at the trees and the falling petals and scooted around a bit.
"So, uh, what were you doing out here all by yourself?"

Lily's mood suddenly became panicked and nervous. "I.. I don't know, I slept and then woke up here." She walked around in circles, looking again as if she was lost. "But then I found you, this isn't a dream is it?"

Shrugging slightly, he trailed after Lily's circles. "I don't think so."
He stopped following her and sat down, tilting his head to the side.
"At least I hope not."

Lily sighed. "I'm sorry. I easily worry. Kinda silly huh?" She looked back to him. "I'm glad this isn't a dream. I'd be sad if I were to wake up now." She walked slowly back towards him and sat by his side. Her heart began to pound against her chest in anticipation. She flicked her ears back, the silence was getting to her.

Altair laughed quietly, his tail swaying slowly, back and forth.
"Sooo...." He cleared his throat and glanced over towards Lily. He closed his mouth and simply stared, unsure of what to say or do at this point.

Lily looked towards him. "Altair.." She moved in closer. For a moment she froze, having second thoughts. "I...I..." She stuttered, the words caught in her throat.
