A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on... Canyon Field The Canyon walls toward high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces themselves are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces themselves are very damp (moss is also present due to the continuous moisture) which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff, announcing an option for land-based pokemon such as to grab and swing; however, these cannot bare that much weight and WILL break if such a thing happens. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Visually is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone.

Quote: Now we come in and do a introduction of our trainer. In MULTIPOKEMON battles you don't send out your pokemon in the intro. In ONE VS. ONE, you do. Don't take it personally if I sound like I am thinking you don't know anything. ^__^;; I just want to guide you on what I learned. Kayla walked into the stadium, smiling as she thought back a bit. Kayla, at the time, was eating lunch when she heard someone saying that they didn't have a pokemon or have any idea on how to battle. This perked her ears and eyes as she looked for the newbie. Kayla quickly finished her meal and walked up to the future-trainer and said she would gladly help her learn and if she could find someone who would lend her their pokemon. As luck would have it, another trainer who was about to sit down and eat heard the conversation and offered one of their pokemon. So here she was again, in the stadium, ready to train a soon-to-be-trainer. It's all good in the end. She enjoy helping someone out and in the end she gets the experience she needs to become stronger.
Kayla walked up onto the platform and hang on to the railing as she waited for the newbie to show up.
As she waits, observed the new battle field. This was her first time using the canyon field. She was curenly 1/4 high from the ground where the lake was and some ground to do the battling on. At least it wasn't just strictly water down there and ceiling with ledges to battle with. Well enough looking around, it's time to battle.
"Go Adira!" Kayla threw out one of her pokeballs from her waist when it was ready.
The pokeball let out a red beam of light and Adira shot out from the pokeball and landed down on the bottom of the canyon, several feet away from the water. Adira snorted as she looks around at her surroundings. Where is her victim. Adira was told before hand, by Kayla to go easy but that wasn't her thing. She will do her best but Kayla knew that Adira would not promise it.Quote: 700/700 As if this moment, I don't know if your character is a girl or boy and yeah. XD Generally, when we battle we keep track of how much HP points your pokemon has left. Right now I am going to roll...to see who goes first. Then you will roll a dice of 6 with your intro. Remember, NO DELETING POST. FFN will be watching. -waves at FFN- XDD

Leroy couldn't wait to start his first battle, even if he was nervous beyond belief. He'd never caught a pokemon, and now he was borrowing one he'd never met before. Hopefully the Houndoom wouldn't be too hard to control, he thought.
Stepping up to the platform Leroy took in the sheerness of the staduim. First off, he couldn't even see the bottom the canyon was so deep, though he could see a bit of a glint off of the water at the bottom. "This could be pretty tricky," Leroy muttered to himself as he positioned himself to start. Taking a deep breath he took out the pokeball he'd recieved earlier.
"Go Houndberry!" Leroy squeezed hard and hoped for the best.
Upon being released from his pokeball, Houndberry found himself on the far side of the pool of water. Looking around, he realized this was the battle he was being borrowed for. He himself wasn't used to battling, but he'd give it a shot for the kid's sake.

I guess it's time to start," Leroy said to himself. Taking another deep breath, he summoned up the strength to order an attack. Speaking timidly into the microphone, Leroy said, "Alright Houndberry, let's do this! Use flamethrower!"
'Houndooom!' Houndberry took his order without much thought. The cranidos on the other side of the ravine was staring intently on him, and it made him annoyed. And at that, Houndberry spewed a jet of flames from his mouth.

Kayla was slightly confused at the choice of the attack the other trainer picked to start off the battle but no matter. It's time for them to battle not question every little thing.
"Take the heat, Adira and prepare Ancient Power!" Kayla ordered.
Spouts of flame blasted right at Adira's head, which she closed her eyes and bulled her way through it. Not moving from her position, she started to form a white ball of energy. It grew from the size of a pokeball to the size of a basketball when it reached it's full potential.
The flames that showered Adira came to a halt and that was when Adira released the attack, thrusting it forward towards the Houndoom.

Leroy was getting really nervous now. He'd chosen a weak first move, and now Houndberry was going to pay. "Houndberry, try to avoid it!" Leroy said frantically.
Twisting his head toward Leroy, Houndberry gave a look of bitterness. Looking back toward Adira, he noticed the massive amount of energy flying right for him. Unable to avoid the attack, he was hit with it full force. Everything went white as the full effect of the blast knocked Houndberry off his feet. Getting up, he snorted and pawed at the ground.
Seeing this as a sign of interest in the battle, Leroy thought it best to issue another attack, this time one that Adira wouldn't have so easy a time with. "Use bite!" squeaked Leroy with increasing excitement.
Darting along the rocky ground, Houndberry got fairly close to the cranidos. Slackening his jaw, he aimed for her midsection and clamped down.

Adira was knocked over when Houndberry latched onto her midsection and roared in pain as she attempted to get him off. She rolled around and tried to kick him with her hindlegs but those jaws clung on.
"Adira! Use Hammer Arm to get him off!" Kayla commanded.
As she gritted her teeth in pain, she gripped Houndberry's fur and hung on tight with one foreclaw, while the other was preparing the attack. Her whole arm glowed as it hardened and took direct aim at Houndberry's head, hoping to force him to let go.

Acting quickly, Leroy shouted for Houndberry to let go and jump back.
Unlatching his jaws and quickly springing away, Houndberry narrowly missed Adira's hammer arm attack. Standling squarely in front of Adira a few feet away, he prepared for his next attack.
Feeling the same confidence the houndoom did, Leroy said "Yeah! Let's go Houndberry, use smog!"
With this, Houndberry chuckled, hoping this would be effective as ever. Within a few moments, Houndberry began releasing a fog of poisonous gas, hoping his aim was on target.

THe smog covered the stadium with it's poisonous fums. Kayla had to cover her nose to prevent from breathing it in. Her eyes watered at the smoke getting into her eyes. Adira was not so lucky. She got the full blast of it and started to hack and cough. Adira wanted to get away but every time she went one direction or the other, the smog was there. Adira was starting to panic when she heard her trainer's command.
"Go straight towards the source and use Hammer Arm!"
Adira closed her eyes and felt the direction the smog was coming from and charged forward. As far as Kayla and Adira knew, it was the right direction. The cranidos' arm started to harden and glow as it prepares it's attack. Adira thrust the arm forward hoping to strike at the dog where it hurts.

Feeling immensely cocky, Leroy grinned with pleasure. Houndberry‘s smog was engulfing the entire field, and even from where he was standing, he could see a good amount of purple fog slithering its way up from the giant crevice in the ground. Then, coming back to the realization that he was still in the middle of a battle, heard an earsplitting cry come from the bottom of the canyon.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Houndberry briefly saw a glowing elongated object coming towards him. He tried to move away, too late! He was punched strongly in the gut by Adira. Pouting and whining, he kneeled down, doubled over.
As the poisonous gas started to clear, Leroy was able to see what was going on on his screen. Knowing what was coming, he was Houndberry slowly stand back up and look over towards Adira. Giving a brief glace at Kayla, the trainer who was giving him a chance he shouted, “Come on Houndberry! Stay strong! Face Adira and use bite!”
