OOC: In thread RP that Apathy and I have decided to continue. =) Archiving the old to continue with the new.
Aleiku: -Yawns and stretches, tailing curling around him as he holds a goofy smile on his face- Maleah: *flops down near Aleiku to stare* Aleiku: -Licking his chops, he tries to wipe the blurry sleep out of his eyes when he sees the other lion- Hey there!
Maleah: *looks pleasantly surprised* Hi! I'm Maleah. What's your name? You look very content about something...
Aleiku: I'm Aleiku. -Grins- And who are you? Content? Nah.. this is the way I always am. -Smile gets brighter if even possible- Maleah: Oh, what would you call it then? *Maleah tilted her head in interest. She was always glad to see a happy face, and if he was always that, then she was pleased to have met him.*
Aleiku: I'd call it... -Thinks- I'd call it... life, and the whole beautiful process of it. Yesh, she's here, but earned from a boulder game here.
Maleah found herself smiling and looking around, "Good answer. I wish more people thought that way! There is a lot of beauty around, isn't there?" She looked back, "What's your favorite?" Aleiku: -Grinning brightly, the infant looked up at the female with shining eyes- Oh, what's not to love! The trees, the beautiful flowers, and the clouds... the rain.. the sun... the bugs.. Everything works together so perfectly! What do you like the most? -Has no intention of settling down from his enthusiasm-
Maleah started to laugh then, pleased with the enthusiasm. "MMmm--It is hard to choose, isn't it? I like the flowers, and sky---and the wind." She seemed to hesitate, then nodded, "And dawn and twilight. You have a precious outlook on life." She wrinkled his nose a little at him... The cub was ssoooo cute! "Where's your mother? She's a very lucky lady." And if she'd been the one to give that gift to the cub, Maleah wanted to tell her what a wonderful lioness she was.
Looking up at the female he couldn't help but continue his beam. It had been so long since he had spoke with someone who loved the earth as much as he did! When she asked about his mother though his expression faded for only a moment, however, it then relaxed into a content smile as he shook his head, "Nah... I haven't seen my mother in a long time. I don't even know where she is. Mother Nature takes care of me, and that's all I need!" Wiggling, his tail shot back and forth in a pleased manner. This female was definitely worth talking to, not that there wasn't anyone who wasn't in the first place, but she was more a jewel than even most.
Maleah blinked at the little thing. What? Didn't know his? Oh, but---!!
"Mother Nature can take care of you all she wants, but--" Oh, she couldn't say THAT. Maleah put her head on the grass, "--Mmm. Do you have any friends?" Maybe he had an older lion looking after him instead?

Aleiku wiggled his tail a bit. He noticed the demeanor in the female change but he couldn't help but to grin all the more. Moving a little closer to her, he nudged her gently in a comforting manner before continuing, "I have everything I need Ma'am. The trees and sky guide me, the animals and bugs keep me company. Everyone I come into contact with are my friends, rather they know it or not. You're my friend, I don't care if you even say no to that. There is no reason in life to obtain enemies, or mere acquaintances.. life is much too short for that."

Maleah flicked an ear as she both thought of that and forced herself not to snap the first answer that came to mind. She looked up at the sky and when she did speak, it was slowly, "The world is very beautiful. Life is beautiful, and it is worth always being happy with. There are many friends to make, and much goodness that comes out of nature. I wish everything was always happy and everything was always beautiful, but some creatures do not like beauty. They do not like nature. They like to be mean, and you are very young. Nature is beautiful, but sometimes ugliness is forced on us. Nature can not always protect us then."
She looked carefully to see if the cub understood. He was so young, would he?

Aleiku hadn't figured in on the female suddenly turning so serious. Of course, there was a time for seriousness as there was a time for anything else. However, what worried him was the sorrow he heard in her voice. It caused him, even at this young age, to feel a ping of worry for the older lion. "Why is it that you're sad?" His head twisted around to look at her. "Of course... there is ugliness... but isn't that what makes everything even more beautiful?" He wasn't entirely sure he understood why it bothered her so much. To him it was all a normal part of life.

"But if you're not careful the ugliness can overcome you, and young cubs are more likely to have that happen than adults. You need someone REAL to help you!" Maleah frowned, "Cubs don't li---You are beautiful Aleiku, and it scares me to think that would happen to you."

Aleiku couldn't help but blink at the female. He didn't understand her concern or worry for him, his parents never worried, he never worried, things always had a way of working themselves out. Shifting closer to her, he gave a light childish nuzzle to her chin and a huge grin appeared on his face. "Thank you for the compliment, but I'm fine, I promise. You don't need to worry about this little cub!" His voice ended in a high note and he couldn't help but wiggle about as if in a little dance. The female was charming, he could tell that even in his young state. He hoped she could play a part in his life, but things came and went all the time. "Don't be scared." With a tilt of his head his hyperness stopped for but a moment so his eyes could scan the lovely lady.

Maleah sighed, getting her reaction under control. She wasn't so old, and remembered what it was like to be a cub. Aleiku was wise beyond his years, but that didn't exclude him from the fact that he simply wouldn't understand. He was too little to know the hurt in the world that complemented the good.
She suddenly smiled, giving him a kind nudge, but one strong enough that it was meant to push him over, "Well then, 'Leiku, we should be travel buddies. Different lions notice different things, and we can help each other see the world."
A mischievous smile appeared on her face, "Besides, you're so little, all you can see are the ants. You need a boost! Up you go!"
Shyness wasn't a part of Maleah, and she now picked the cub up in her mouth and placed him on her back, "See a new world!" She teased with a slight laugh.

"Travel buddies?" Aleiku thought it over for a bit until a smile replaced the thoughtful glance. "Of course!" His enthusiasm returned quickly and he couldn't help but giggle and laugh when she swung him over her shoulder. "I'm not little! I'll be big, just you wait and see." Still grinning, he clung to her neck in too much excitement to say too much else. The thought of having someone else to share the amazing world with was bliss in itself.

"No, never!" Maleah laughed along with him, "You'll always be a little cub. Little 'Leiku."
She started walk, intentionally putting an extra spring in her step to see how long he could hold on, "Have you ever seen a waterfall?" She asked.

"Will not!" He puffed his chest to seem much older than what he was. He giggled happily and tried to stand up on her shoulders but nearly fell. "A waterfall? Yeah, I have!" He smiled a bit brightly. "The water is so big, and fast!" He wiggled on her back, staring at the trees that passed them by as she walked. He wasn't use to anyone being around or treating him this way, but he felt this could be something that he'd get use to.

"What about a cubfall?" Maleah asked with a snicker, as she suddenly lept upwards into a tree. He had a good gripe, but could he keep on when she was vertical? "It's little, but just as fast!" She peered around at him with a mischievous glint. It would be fun acting like a cub herself with this little guy.
