Welcome to a Pirate roleplay completely by me, Jenken-Inu939! The plot didn't take long to come up with, but I had to mess with it a little bit to accomodate a guild. It still needs alot of work and your cooperation, but it's going to be awesome!

Introduction

Welcome to the Caribbean, love. Too bad nothing's going to go as planned. Let me start from the beginning: once upon a time, there was a man. This man, named Tibius Maloon III, had a map that lead to the greatest treasure of all time. What is this treasure, you might be asking. An item so grest that it can take people back in time and forward. Tibius went mad, gong on and on about "televisions" and "cars", but people thought he was just crazy. Too bad they didn't know where he'd hidden this map.

Many years later, the map finds itself in the hands of an eighteen year old girl, named Kailalen Anne Hopkins. She has quite the reputation, but didn't tell many about the map. However, it leaked out that Kalu had found the map to another world, and everyone instantly became after her. Now, two well-known pirate ships, The Ronin Dendara and the Sea Goddess are after the treasure, as well as one Navy ship. Trusts will be made, romance sparked, and friendships broken. Will everyone get what they want, or will some lives be taken in the process?

Now, it seems the entire Caribbean knows about this map and treasure. More ships are after it, but who will make it there first? The Ronin Dendara, the Sea Goddess, or perhaps a ship no one ever expected?

Plot

Well, now that you've read the introduction, why don't I summarize it all up for you, mate? The Ronin Dendara is Kalu's ship, and currently has the map. It is a huge ship that is as well known as the Black Pearl and Davy Jones. The Sea Goddess is kind of a ghost ship, almost like the Flying Dutchman. The crew is scary and said to kill for pure enjoyment, but who knows, right? They could be kind...maybe. The last ship belongs to the Navy, and it's called Jurist San, which means something or other in some language. It often patrols the ocean, and is a monster ship. There are more ships, but these are the three main ones. All three ships have the same thing in common: they are after Maloon's treasure.

You are either on the Ronin Dendara, a soul on the Sea Goddess, or a Navy rat on the Jurist San. Or, maybe you're on another ship who wants thier chance in the spotlight. Of course, cars and television don't exsist yet, so don't think you've also been to the future! Romance will sparkle, between crew members and ships. Fights are common and tears and frowned upon. Who will you join?

RULES

Alrighty, let's get started! This has nothing to do with Jack Sparrow and POTC, but you can hint about them every so often. I don't care. I do, however, care that you read this entire paragraph. I want Semi-Literates to Literate Roleplayers! This means that you can write at least five good, detailed sentences per post. That's all I ask. Go ahead and perty 'em up, if you like. Follow the Gaia rules, blah blah. You know how it goes. Don't come in here to spam or start fights. Cybering goes right to the pm's, people! Kissing is okay and cuddling is encouraged, but once the cybering starts, take it outta here. I reserve the right to deny you entry to this roleplay, kick you out, and change the rules. I want all the profiles pmed to me, of course, and if you skimmed this entire thing looking for the magic words, HERE THEY ARE: The subject of your pm will be..."nah, I'll tell you later." I don't want to be seeing five-year-old pirates, and stick to the era. Be online at least three days out of seven per week and post often. Don't sign up if you can't do that, and don't sign up if you're just going too ditch later. This is a LONG-TERM roleplay. I don't care ofr swearing, but don't make me have to soap up your mouth and clean it up myself, ya hear? I'm an easy-going person, but also strict, so pay attention to my rules! PG-15 if you please. Follow the profile I've made, and Yaoi and Yuri is allowed! Just keep in character. For OOC, you need some way to distinguish it from your RPing. [[Example]] No randomly killing off main characters, unless you get the permission of the killee and me. I'm feeling good, so if you can't post or you can't be on as often as I'd like, pm me and we'll talk. Oh yeah! The pm subject is the name of the ship you want to be on! Please move to whatever area you are. If you're in Tortuga, go to the Tortuga section! Seriously, we don't want you sailing your ship in the Governer's Household! Also, before you leave an area, be sure to say you're leaving in your final post. Something like [[Final Post]] at the bottom. I'll be sure to remind you later. Lastly, keep it loose and have fun, mate. Pm if you've got questions, or just wanna say hello!

RANKS

Captain
The absolute authority, a captain is not a dictator but subject to the collective wishes of the crew.
First Mate
On most ships, the First Mate is the officer who ranks just below the Captain of the ship and takes over in the event that the Captain can no longer perform his duties.
Second Mate
Quartermasters
An important member of the crew - responsible for discipline and good order, resolving disputes aboard ship, and distributing out the treasure and such.
Surgeon
Surgeons, or Doctors, were a prized luxury aboard pirate ships since their value was enormous, and few had them.
Master
The shortened form of "Sailing Master." He was responsible for the navigation of the ship. The Master was sometimes called "Artist," because of his very specialized knowledge
of the navigational Art.
Gunnery Chief
The Gunnery Chief knows all about black powder, guns and cannons. He's always seen near the cannons during a fight, yelling "Fire!" and helping the others re-load. He (or she) is an expert and definately knows his stuff. They're always looking for different gunpowder ideas and buy loads when they make port.
Cabin Boy
The cabin boy is typically a young boy of privileged birth who is sent to sea to learn the maritime trade. Typically the cabin boy waits upon the officers of the ship. In some instances he may act as the Captain's servant. The cabin boy will run messages and errands for the officers, prepare their uniforms, perhaps even fetches their dinner. Because he is an apprentice of sorts, he is also expected to learn all aspects of the maritime trade. The cabin boy works long hard hours. Even on pirate ships, the captain might employ a young energetic fellow as a cabin boy.
Just a crew member
You can also be...just a crew member!
Linguist
Quartermaster
Other
If you know of another Rank, go ahead and type it in on your profile

SHIPS

The Ronin Dendara
This legendary ship is Captained by the well-known Captain Kailalen Anne Hopkins. It's like a football stadium in size, as are the other ships. It has many different ships, and everything about it is extraordinary. It's easy to get lost on this large ship, and the sails are big enough to blanket and elephant.
The Sea Goddess
This ghost ship has creepy carvings and many cannons. It's got one of the best Captains in the business. The Sea Goddess' Captain knows and hates Kalu Hopkins, and likewise. Of course, they have a past together. THe crew doesn't know much about it, and they are quite a swell crew. The ship has many rooms, but still uses hammocks.
The Jurist San
The Jurist San is your typical Navy ship. It has all the makings of a real fighter. It's small enough to go faster than you'd think, and it's crew is serious about listening to the Governer. However, the Captain is also interested in the Treasure, so is it all about listening to thier orders, or is something else really going on?
(Insert your ship's name here)
You can also make your own ship. Just type in the name of your ship in the part of the profile where you write in the name of whatever ship your on, and I'll put it up. Then others can also sign up to be on your ship, and you will be alerted of a new recruit.

Profile

For some reason, my profile isn't coming out the way I want it in this guild, so I've made a separate link for it in Barton Town. It's not too complicated, even if it loks like it. Don't change anything, and all you have to do is replace the stuff ((That looks like this)).
Just a reminder: If you want to be on a different ship than the three main ones, please put the name of your new ship (and a url to a picture of it, if you like) in the section called "I Sail Under These Colors". Thanks!
