A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...

Desert Field

Powerful heat lamps, with the addition of the stadium air conditioners set on “hot”, create the authentic heat wave needed for this particular territory. Heated sand stretches from trainer platform to trainer platform. There is very little to no shelter areas in this field, the only things truly to hide behind is a single cacti standing tall near the eastern end of the field and the large boulder of sandstone that lays centerfield. Various chunks of rock and desert plants (far too small to hide behind) are scattered randomly in the sand. On very random occasions, if this field is selected, the scenery will change to a monsoon setting. The ceiling will be closed and the temperature will drop several degrees to a much colder level. Harsh rain-like settings will rain down on the two battling pokemon, causing the sand to turn to mud and the field will slowly start to flood. Movement is very difficult and visually is poor.

Now we come in and do a introduction of our trainer. In MULTIPOKEMON battles you don't send out your pokemon in the intro. In ONE VS. ONE, you do.

Oh and remember, you are limited to only four moves. Choose those moves wisely. You might have to think up moves as you go along since sometimes it doesn't go as you planned. After you're four moves have been used in battle, make sure you remember them or place them at the end on your post with your Pokemon's HP counter. This also includes any status changes such as Sleep, Paralysis and such.

Remember, NO DELETING POST. FFN will be watching. -waves at FFN- XDD

Kayla walked into the stadium, whistling at how hot it is in here. The flaming heat of the lamps was not very fun. Kayla walked up onto the platform and hang on to the railing as she waited for the newbie to show up. As she waited, she looked down at the playing field. It's going to be difficult for both trainers and pokemon to fight here. The heat will be beating down on them with no mercy and that might affect how the battle works. But she also had another thing on her mind other than the heat. There was no shade whatsoever. The sand will make it hard to move quickly but it will soften most crashes in anycase.

So here she was again, in the stadium, ready to train someone who needs help. Kayla reached behind her waist and grabbed a pokeball she feels that needs this battle the most and could win something.

"Go, Adira! This is your moment!" Kayla threw out the pokeball onto the sandy field. Adira burst out of the pokeball in red beam of lights. Once she was fully out, she looked around and slightly approved the field. It wasn't the best but she could handle the heat.

Kayla smiled. "I knew you would approve. Now let's win this!" Now she is just waiting for the new trainer to appear.

Now you go ahead and rolll to see who goes first. If you forget to roll in your post...don't worry about it and just roll again. ^__^

This is similiar RP as to one of the battles I just started. Basically repeating myself but with a few edits. XD Hope that's cool. XP

Oh boy, what have I gotten us into now? Calloused hands drug through unruly black hair as Carter stepped into the stadium. he should have waited a bit longer, her and Yero weren't really ready for this after all. They were brand new to the area, 'fresh off the boat', as someone had once referred to him. And the last time the trainer and pokemon had battled together, the results had been less than favorable. He had promised to protect Yero, and that meant learning how things worked out here. Geez this was the last place he wanted to be right now.

"But if we don't start now, it'll probably bite us in the butt later on." And after all this Kayla character had been nice enough to help them train, there was really no point in backing out now. Besides the terrain could have been worse, Yero would probably be able to adapt to the desert terrain, he could always pretend it was the shore just off their home back in Cinnabar. Dark eyes watched as Kayla's pokemon sprang from its pokeball and observed the scene around it.

It was now or never. "Alright Yero, let's get this over!" Deft fingers curled around the pokeball on his belt, he was probably already in the dog house for keeping him in his ballf or so long. He knew how much Yero hated the thing. With a small sigh he tossed the ball upward and waited for Yero his breath caught in his throat.

Yero burst out of his own pokeball raising his nose to the sky with a small howl. He was ready, even if his 'trainer was not'. Immediately the Growlithe had crouched into a ready stance its eyes fixed on the pokemon infront of him. Carter was right, he didn't mind the terrain at all.

"Remember boy, this isn't a police mission. Don't go overboard!"

EDIT: Yero- 800/800

[Perfectly fine by me, thank you! Sorry for forgetting the HP]

Kayla observed as the trainer named Carter (was it?) stepped into the stadium. He's really nervous. Kayla thought to herself as he got onto the platform. When Carter asked if she could help him with battling, he was almost scared but she told him that it would be an honor and she would help as much as she could.

"Don't worry so much, Carter. You will do just fine. Even if one of us lose, we gain new friends, experience and more. In fact, you can go first." Kayla told him kindly.

She watched as he set loose his Growlithe who was totally ready for battle, more so than his trainer. Well, maybe growlithe will rub off on Carter and give him some confidence about battling.

Don't worry so much Geez, that was easy for her to say. Vaugely he wondered if the girl would believe that he had been one of the top junior members of the Kanto police force. Probably not, officers usually didn't act this scared.

He was a disgrace, but then he had his reasons for being frightened. On the field in front of him, Yero was shooting him an impatient look. "Tch, you're always so impatient. You'd think you were still a pup some time." And though his tone was scolding there was no hint of animoisty in his tone, just adoration.

Across from him Kayla spoke and he arched a small brow, that wasn't pity was it? "I guess I'll take your word for it...Thanks?!" He flashed her a small smile and turned his attention to the waiting pokemon infront of him. "Alright, alright already let's get this started! Attack plan 51: Crunch!" Old habits died hard.

Powerful back legs pushed off from the ground as Yero shot towards his opponent, he zig zagged left and right using his speed as an advantage before leaping into the air. Yero twisted his body in mid descent aiming for the pokemon in front of him, his jowls open awaiting contact.

"Atta boy."

Kayla's eyes widened a bit at the sheer speed of the growlithe. He was just a blur of red and black. Adira could probably keep her much better eyesight on him more than she could.

"Adira, roll! Adira tried to do as she was told but she didn't get too far before Yero managed to take a large chuck out of Adira's back.

The cranidos roared in pain and attempted to whiplash the offender off her back, bucking and running like a taruros.

When Adira managed to fend off the growlithe, Kayla gave the order of, "Use Head Smash!" which sent the cranidos charging at growlithe, head lowered and aiming.

Now if this hits on a number of 2-5 it will cause a damage of 150. If it hits 6 then it will take a 300 damage since Fire is weak against Rock.

Yero yipped as he was thrown off of the Cranidos' neck, tumbling he managed to regain his footing only to be thrown backwards by a powerful blow from Adria.

Despite himself Carter whistled, That Cranidos can really pack a punch. No time to dawdle, that's what got people hurt in the line of duty. "Attack formation 62! Get underground now Yero!"

The growlithe obeyed without hesitation, claws flashing as he flew underground. The sandy surroundings gave way to his large paws easily as he searched for his opponent above his head. Bingo.

As Kayla and Adira watched Yero go underground and knowing it's not going to be good. "Keep your eyes and ears open, Adira! You know he's coming!"

Adira looks around frantically, searching where the growlithe might come up but there's no way of telling. It wasn't long before growlithe came up and took Adira by surprise, causing her to flinged upward at the impact.

"Adira, let's send that growlithe spinning into confusion! Use Rock Climb!"

The cranidos rushed towards the large boulder that was in the center of the battlefield and she started to climb it. When she reached the top, Adira glared down at Yero, tail swishing.

Darn. D= Well I was trying to confuse your pogey by using that move. If I had made a odd number in the first dice it would have succeeded and the second dice would have determined how long it last. But alas, it didn't work. ^__^

Well that was a close one, Yero had better be thanking his lucky stars that the Cranidos' attack had missed. Okay now was the time to strategize. Fire attacks weren't going to be enough to take a rock type down. They had been lucky and landed a ground attack. Yero would have to lure Adira back to the ground and try again. "Relocate the suspect, Bite!" It was a common excersicse at the academy, aim to get the perp where you wanted them. He really had to drop the lingo though, he hoped that Kayla wouldn't take any offense.

Yero was familiar with the tactic and Carter was right, sheer force wasn't going to be enough to take this pokemon down. At the command he shot forward again, rouding the boulder once, twice, before leaping upwards. This time his jaws were not aimed for Adria's throat, landing gracefully next to the Cranidos Yero snapped downwards towards the legs hoping to send the pokemon off balance and backwards from the rock.

Kayla tsked as she soon realized that her previous attack did not work. Oh well. Maybe next time. In the mean time, Kayla was kind of amused at the lingo Carter was using but then again he told her that he went to the police academy. She often wonder if she should join the police academy when she was thinking about her career but didn't like the idea of putting herself in that much danger constantly. So here she was. A trainer, though she is again thinking on being maybe a watcher but what fun is that?

She didn't get to ponder on it much in any case because now the growlithe was circling Adira like a shark before he lunged at Adira.

Adira tried to jump and stay on the large boulder but no good. Yero managed to take a good bite at her legs and it sent her down to the sandy desert.

"Use Head Smash again! Teach that pup a lesson!" Again, Adira lowered her head and charged, not slowing down at all.

Again Carter cringed as the Cranidos made contact with Yero's body. He felt the panic starting to rise in his gut again. They had been such a good team until that day, so confident... And now look at him, it was merely a beginners battle and Carter was quaking. her cursed himself quietly and raised his eyes in time to see Yero go flying across the ground doing a fair few rolls before landing sprawled uncerimoniously on his back.

"Pup?!" Despite himself Carter felt a bit of aggitation bite at his insides, Yero may be small and somewhat akward looking but he fought as bravely as any full grown Arcanine. "Don't take that Yero! Repeat excercise 62, DIG!"

It took a moment for Yero to regain his composure, the world still spinning slightly from the force of the attack. But as soon as it had stopped, Yero barked once and began digging again. Carter may have been worried, but he was having the time of his life.

When Adira made contact with Yero's body, Kayla clenched her fist, brought it up to face level and bringing it down fast, while letting out a "Yes!" in celebration. Even though it wasn't a devestating blow, it was a blow nonetheless. Now it seemed that Carter and Yero was going to pay them back for Kayla's comment about Yero being a 'pup' and Adira knocking the growlithe off his paws once more.

Trainer and pokemon watched as the growlithe went underneath the ground to execute Dig. Kalya knew that it would be difficult to aviod no matter what, so she had to just go with the flow.

"Adira! Try to get away and use Rock Climb again!" Adira hastily rushed towards the large boulder again but was stopped by Yero who emerged from the ground, sending the cranidos flying and crashing to the desert sand.

"Come on..." Kayla chanted as Adira got up to her feet, panting and weakened before she started to climb the large boulder. Once again, she reached the top and glaring murderous eyes at the fire pokemon, hoping, this time, it wil confuse him. Because if they don't, they might be in a world of hurt.

Contact! Despite Carter's fears, Yero seemed to be handling himself really well. He found himself rather impressed. A grin slid slowly across his face but vanished almost instantly as Adira managed a successful confusion attack.

Yero glared up at the Cranidos attempting to match the murderous look, only to find himself realing in confusion. He sidestepped a few times, not quite understanding what just happened.

"Try to shake it off Yero give that pokemon one more Crunch!" Fists clenched as Carter leaned forward to see if Yero would be able to see through the fog of confusion.

The bark that emitted from Yero's jaws was no were near as confident as the others and he took off speeding towards Adira, hoping that he was going in the right direction.

Unforunately for Adira, Yero managed to somehow became focused enough to follow through with the command and took a large bite at her tail. She roared at the shock and pain it caused and started to thrash her tail around and jumped off the boulder as she kept trying.

It didn't take long to get the growlithe off but now Adira was trembling from head to shoulders. She could barely stand, she even wonders herself if she could go through with the next battle tactic her trainer planned to do.

"We can do this, Adira!" She said it in a confident tone while internally, she felt that this was it. The battle was going to be over and all that. It would be a close call but the favors were in Yero's court.

"Let's go for a Rock Slide!"

Adira charged forward for a few yards before leaping into the air and came crashing down, causing large boulders to emerge from the ground that flew at Yero.
