When I was really REALLY little, some neighbors of ours would always turn their garage into a little spooky attraction. Some guy in an amazingly convincing Dracula cotume would be lying in a coffin. I swear, this guy was a good actor, you couldn't even see him breathing. After a while, a big crowd would gather around, to see what was going on in there. Then the guy would sit up suddenly and yell. It was terrifying to a 5-year-old such as myself. But if you were brave and didn't scream, he gave you candy. So it was all good. 3nodding

As a kid, I went to this one house and the guy giving out candy had both of his hands holding the bowl, and another person behindhim with their hand coming out the front of his shirt.
That was the hand that gave us candy/scared me silly!
