In the year 1990, the world is not as it should be. WWII lasted several years longer than in our world and it immediately led into WWIII. In the aftermath of the Third Great War, the United states is left in ruins and desperately struggling to survive. Europe is corrupted and divided, small battles still erupt over the continent. In Asia, considered the last hope of man, the war continues as China and Russia fend off the Empire of Japan. After losing WWII to the Germans and being occupied by the Nazis then the Soviets during WWIII, the Japanese finally force out their invaders at the cost of their freedom. Now a militaristic totalitarian state, the Empire of Japan is expanding rapidly through Asia. Using modified German and Russian technology such as the Mk. 2 Panzer Walking Tank and MG-98, the armies of Japan rage across Asia as the rest of the world tries to rebuild. Rules: PLEASE READ ALL RULES IF NOTHING ELSE
Use common sense is the most important rule
Follow all standard RP rules (No God modding, speed hacking, pulling guns out of no where, knowing things you shouldn't, etc.)
Only a limited number of people may join 2/3 Echo. This number increases proportionately with the number of RP members. It’s pretty much first come first serve.
You can drop out of either 2/3 Echo or the PLA at any time and attempt to switch sides or join one of the other two RPC types, but please mail me and RP yourself leaving the unit. Don’t just say I quit in OOC. Do not ask me to kick someone from one of the two units, if they’re being insubordinate or traitorous, deal with it in the RP. If all else fails, you can execute them.
One key element of any good Sci-fi story line is reality. In reality people get frustrated and swear. Just try to keep it to a minimum.
This is an open world, but try to stick somewhat to the story line of the RP
I have the right to change rules at any time as I see fit. Don't worry, I won't take advantage of the rules and I will warn you all what's coming.
I want this as literate as possible. I will let you know if you need more English in your vocabulary.
Third person, please.
If you go back and edit your post; do two things. First, in OOC, place EDIT in all caps at the bottom of the page and then the time it was edited. Second make a new post saying that you edited your post on [insert page number] page. Do not use the time on your computer, use GST.
Up to two RPC are allowed, though if one is PLA, the other cannot be Echo 2/3 and vice versa. Both can be PLA or one can be Civilian or IFPF. Due to limited space of Echo 2/3, only one RPC allowed. Be sure you have a way of distinguishing between the two different RPCs. You should include this in your RPC Profile form.
Do not think that just because someone has died or an objective has been failed/ the other side has succeeded, the RP will end. New objectives will be given once the main RP has been resolved. Secondary objectives and alternative methods will also be given as the RP progresses.
I expect to see a lot of direct engagements in this RP with other, real people. Try to avoid killing another person's RPC. We want to keep people in this RP. Instead, a defeated character will be mortally wounded and hopefully rescued then that RPC will have to recover. If you believe you must kill someone or just really want to, mail me then discuss in OOC. If your RPC has died and you want to have two again or to get back in the RP, mail me then discuss in OOC.
Mail RPC forms to me, please.

Wolf Brigade; 2nd Platoon/ 3rd Squad, Echo Company Dispatch from General Koh, Commander - Echo Company
Soldiers,
You are the elite of our Great Empire! You are held in the highest regards, and as such are called upon for the most crucial of tasks, requiring your fast reactions and merciless tactics. The Chinese Dissidents of Beijing once again try to stunt the growth of our Empire which carries the survival of civilization on it’s back! Our agents have reported the construction of a device that could ruin all we have aspired for! It is an ECCM, and if launched, it could shut down our defensive grid that protects over the Sacred Homeland like your forefathers. It will unmask our electronically protected weapons and communications devices, allowing Chinese hackers into our system! You now will begin your voyage to Beijing to meet up with the informant. Locate this ECCM and end the threat it poses to your homes!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2/3 Echo You must have received the letter from Koh already. Here is your dispatch:
Report to Lt. Goda Drop outside Beijing, link up with IFPF Locate informant at [deleted] [Orders will be given by Lt. Goda] Locate PLA base Secure or destroy ECCM device More information and objective updates will be transmitted to your Field Control. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolf Brigade are the elite shock troopers of the Empire of Japan. Echo Company are a special forces part of the mechanized portion of Wolf Brigade Panzer-grenadiers. Unlike most Panzer-grenadiers (See picture), Echo company does not have any set armor or armament type. They use what is preferred by each team member. They usually act as an air assault unit, landing on the flanks of enemy positions in drop ships then striking quickly before the enemy is aware they’ve been surrounded.
Can call in gun ship air support and dropship evac.
2/3 Echo Roster: (6 spots open) Lt. Goda (Squad leader)

An address to the freedom fighters of The Peoples Liberation Army
Comrades! For too long have the oppressive Japanese ruled over the lands that our fathers willed to us! This country is our blood right, and bleed we did to gain it. Now will we let the Japanese simply take it away from us? No, now it is their time to pay the dept in their own crimson life! For years now we have coordinated with the Russians to strike at the Japanese homeland and lead the revolution which will end the reign of their power hungry leaders. Many of our brothers have died to see freedom for their children, and now their sacrifice has bared us sweet fruit! We have constructed the ECCM device, codename “Yangzi Laohu”. We will move this device from Taiwan to Beijing where tests on the mock weapon have proved not only it’s effectiveness, but also led our enemies away from the true product. From Taiwan, we will bring it to Mongolia where the Russians will use it on Japan prior to the combined assault on the island. The Russians do not know it yet, but we don’t plan on letting them have the glory of freeing our people. We will accompany the bomb to Japan and bring the fight to their families!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a member of the PLA, these are the ways in which you can aid in the freeing of our people!
Yangzi Laohu has been transported from Taipei to Fuzhou by ship. The captain is trustworthy and when you arrive at the pier, he will have transport ready for you to move the device in city. Escort Yangzi Laohu from Fuzhou to Beijing. Beijing is held in the grips of the Imperials by one of their Remote Outposts, or duly renamed “oppression towers” by your imprisoned brothers. In order to safely extract our research teams and as a signal that the great revolution has begun, you will shut down this oppression tower by any means. You will move Yangzi Laohu North to Mongolia by any route you deem safe and quick. You will hook up with the Soviet Expeditionary Force in Mongolia then accompany them to the rally point. Yangzi Laohu will be released from the seas; after it has bitten into the Empire and disabled it, you will join Soviet paratroopers in the assault on Tokyo. Additional inelegance will be distributed via our agents and the underground radio network.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The PLA are the Chinese rebels that have their roots back during China’s imperial rule. They then fought both the ROC and the Japanese during the Indo-China war. China did not side with either side during WWII, but continued to resist Japan. In WWIII, the PLA joined the Warsaw nations while still unable to completely rid their homeland of the Imperial Japanese. China as a country has officially surrendered and become a territory of Japan, though fighting still goes on in Tibet and Mongolia as well as the occasional insurgency in major cities. The PLA continues it’s one hundred year resistance of the Japanese as the largest free Chinese militia.
Easily blend into crowds in large cities and are often supported by locals

The Imperial Foreign Police Force
You are Chinese and Japanese citizens who are to watch over Japanese controlled provinces in foreign lands. This police force is to maintain law and order in the lands and pry rebels out of hiding so that the Imperials can take care of them. Although this is a Japanese set up force, the members are mainly Chinese citizens or Japanese conscripts deemed unworthy of the armed forces and sympathizers could very easily infiltrate the ranks. Though a side arm and submachine gun are standard issue, exceptions to this rule are not uncommon. You have no set mission other than the continued control over Japanese territories abroad. And even that is up to interpretation.
The Civilians
Just as it sounds. You are the citizenry of any of the five countries (China, Taiwan, Russia, Mongolia, Japan) in this RP, or maybe even foreigners from Europe, America or any other part of the world. You do as you please and get away with what you can. Beware zealous IFPF officers and soldiers of either side who would exploit you. You are armed with whatever you can find and chose where you invest your loyalties. Survival and perhaps happiness are your goals.
These two fractions have no set goal or side. They can chose to do whatever they please, though they must follow the storyline as it progresses.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All RP members must stay as active as possible, even if the main story line is at a standstill. Nothing prevents you from making your own personal goals or secondary objectives.
If you have an idea for the RP; some improvement, event, rule or anything else that you think will make the RP more enjoyable, feel free to PM me.
In fact, PM me about any questions. Even really obvious ones. Just don't expect me not to call you dumb.
