-History of Planet Earth-

Required for: School of Magic

Class Description
Students take a look at the geological development of the earth and how certain conditions influenced flows of mana or human ingenuity. Particularly studied is the Middle Ages, when all races but the humans fell into darkness. It is necessary to understand as much about the potential allies as possible.

Classroom Description
Various pictures of the world are posted on the sandy-colored walls of this circular room. Students bring their own Tablets here and sit on a very comfy carpet so they can face the walls. When not being used for a classroom it is a favorite group-study room.

Alexander hesitated at the classroom door, his books tightly clutched against his chest. He wasn't sure exactly what he was anxious about since the last class had turned out just fine, he even go t a friend out of it. But what if some of the students weren't as nice? He hadn't met any yet, but there was always a possibility. Well, it didn't really matter, Sasha had to finish his studies and he was already here.

Just go in!

Grumbling, the little boy opened the door and look in. Aww there was no one in here today. And after all that fear, he was actually disappointed not meeting someone new. Still, Alex took a seat on the plush carpet floor, mesmerized by the room. It was a lot different from the human studies class which was very stark. This room had a lot of character and the pictures and portraits along the walls were eye-catching. Putting his books down, he wandered over to the wall, Sasha followed the history of the world and the races which inhabit it.

"Cool..."

The brunette wandered down the calls, hands in pocket and a still sleepy look on his face. He had woken up on the wrong side of the bed, actually it was more like the wrong side of the floor this morning. But either way he had woken up, gotten as fixed up as he could and had come here. Wei knew Professor Manneth wandered these halls every so often and it would be a good time to discuss more about his chosen path.

It was days like these where he questioned why he was so obedient.

He paused for a second, noticing that one of the doors were opened. Someone was actually here? Grey orbs peered inside and a little smile graced his face. It was the cute one. Slowly he sneaked in, crouching a bit low, coming up behind the absorbed looking youth. Silently he stood. "Boo."

Oh my God!

He froze, shoulders stiff against his neck. Was he not supposed to be here? The door was unlocked, right? He was allowed in, right? It wasn't after hours. It was a weekday! Had he gotten something wrong? With his heart in his throat, Sasha turned around and his fear rose instead of dwindled.

"O-Oh W-Wei... You scared me. I thought you were a uhh uh teacher..." Alex laughed nervously, trying inconspicuously to move as far away from Wei as he could. Somehow he didn't think getting caught in a corner with his friend would be a good idea. He scooted innocently away back to his spot on the floor to start learning and erm stuff. "What are you doing here?"

He chuckled, taking a seat close to the boy before propping his legs up on the table. This was the 'relaxing' pose he had learned to imitate. "Eh, I was looking for Professor Manneth but that manner can wait a bit." Procrastination was something teens should indulge in every once in awhile. Wei looked about the room. Definitely a magical based room. As pretty as it was, he just didn't find any sort of attraction to it. "Magic student, eh?"

"Oh..." Alex didn't knew who that was. Actually, he didn't know a lot of teachers with the exception of Professor Shinji. He pulled his dark violet hair behind his ears with his little fingers and looked up at Weiyuan.

"Uhmm well.... for now, I guess. My uhmm brother likes magic and so I just followed him. I... really have no interest either way so..." Sasha shrugged in explanation. "it's probably best I'm not in science, there are too many big words I don't know in English. I could barely get through the human body study without Nash's help...."

His brother? He'd never seen another purple-haired kid around here before, he was sure he would've seen him at the Fire incident or something. He didn't understand how anyone could've not been there. It was a freaking fire. Alarms would've been going off all the time, unless his brother was deaf. Ha. Not likely.

Still...He gave the other a stern but gentle look. "You know, it's not wise to follow someone else. You have to find your own path, even if it's a brother." He and Rui had decided to become doctors on their own, it was just coincidence that they both were accepted here. Even then Rui never really followed him around, more so it was Wei who would play shadow.

Alex listened only vaguely as Wei rambled on, watching the walls with vague interest. He had heard this speech quite a few times already. "Yeah I know, everyone's told me this before, but... I don't..... have any real interest in either you know? And my brother makes me happy, so if he is happy in magic I will be happy..." He hoped. But the fear of being away from his brother far surpassed the possibility of being miserable in this course of life.

He tried his best to look like he was studying, but he was really keeping an eye on Weiyuan, making sure he didn't get too close as he wrote down a few notes or definitions. Regularly, he stumbled over a word and did his best to sound it out even if he didn't know what it meant. This wasn't exactly 'fun' when he couldn't even put together half these sentences. Ugh!

Wei rolled his eyes. He was still young. He'd grow and learn and eventually become an entirely separate being from his brother. They'll probably stay close but who knew. He once thought that he and Rui would be close for a long time, but now he sees that that had changed. They just...weren't as close now.

He watched the youth for a moment, pondering the look on his face. Well, not as much why but....damn this one was cute. Not hot, not handsome, just...cute. Maybe Alex would grow out of that too. Honestly he would've preferred it if he stayed just a cutie.

God, he was getting bad.

Idly he looked at what Alex was reading. "It' pronounced Archipelago. Strong 'ch' and short vowels. Means a group of islands."

Alex made a soft humm of curiosity as he leaned forward and ghosted his finger over the word. "Ah--Oh... O-Okay..." Well that solved a few problems. Wrinkling his nose, Sasha sat back in his chair with his arms folded over his chest stubbornly. "Why does English have so many freakin' words?"

Oh so cute. Wei forced him to turned away to wipe that little smirk off his face. He was not going to scare this guy off! He was just too cute to terrorize him like that. "I'm not sure, but it's a lot easier to write compared to Chinese characters." One stroke too long or too short could change the whole meaning. Or make it mean nothing at all. The countless hours he spent in perfecting his characters were...god at least he was allowed to watch TV while doing that. He would've died otherwise.

Finally gaining some composure, he turned back looking at the other's notes, wanting to check that the other was doing alright. He...couldn't read them. The brunette visibly tilted his head. "What language is this?"

"Uhh yeah I bet!" Alex agreed wholeheartedly. He had experienced a bit of Chinese and holy cheese and crackers! What was fun in learning that?! Well he wasn't.

The little boy leaned his head down to glance at his notes. "Oh.. Russian. My brother makes me write in English to like you know practice and stuff, but it's such a pain so I usually switch to Russian when he's not around. It's easier to study that way..." His pencil trailed down his notes to another section that was fervently written out.

"Oh! And this is about Slavic magick that I learned when I was a kid. I was really into it years ago. I learned how to make people wither and how to win bar fights though it never really came in handy at age nine..." Sasha laughed, a rare smile creeping across his round face.

Wei chuckled at the youth's sudden giddiness. He would've thought that he wasn't really into 'cute' but as the moments kept going he was proving himself wrong. Hands to yourself Wei. "As right as he is, I do it too. I'm much faster at it too." Thanks to years of hand cramps. He looked at the notes again, only using his eyes to look at Alex. "Wither? Now why would you want people to wither?"

Alexander shrugged in good humor, grey-brown eyes staring at the bright computer screen. "I dunno, it sounded cool at the time. I tried it on my brother once... You take mud from their shoes and you smear it on your fireplace and as it dried out and cracks, the person is supposed to too. But it never worked and I eventually gave up. And now that I am here, in Shinkami, I wonder if I had just been doing it wrong..." He actually wanted to ask Shinji if those little magicks worked. The little boy's soft face turned into a devilish smile. It would be quite the parlor trick.

Wei raised his eyebrow in the turn, shaking his head a bit. He didn't believe in those amateurish hexes, he never had. Even the ones his elders insisted worked. Though he never actually experienced being 'cursed' he was generally a good boy. He was starting to really dislike that term.

"Does that mean you're going to try cursing someone else now?"
