The Rules. Really, there is only one round-about rule that encompasses all rules: USE. COMMON. SENSE. Does it make sense to ask if any of my pets' babies are available for giving away when there are no babies? No. Does it make sense to post without permission in a private journal? No. Please just... think about what you want to do or ask me before doing it. And when all else fails, just PM me. There are no stupid questions.

Banner Eventually Leslie Parish
 Leslie Parish, 27, is a resident of the city who used to work at a local pizzeria most days out of the week. She never saw herself as a real pet person until Locksmith came along, and that was a complete accident unto itself. (See page 2 for details on how Leslie adopted Locksmith) Having finished culinary school, Leslie is planning on opening a restaurant of her own. She still lives in her parents' house. It's a big house for one person and one dog, but it's got a nice backyard that Locksmith plays in.
Leslie currently owns:

Professor Evan Mousad
 Professor Evan Mousad, 32, is a teacher at the Wayes University. He teaches Mythology 101 mostly, but also teaches advanced classes in mythology. He got his degree from Wayes as well, and has a PhD in Mythology, a minor degree in Anthropology, and a teaching degree. He lives in a flat off campus with two bedrooms, a nicely sized bathroom, and a very large living room. The dining room was turned into an office, so he usually eats in the living room. He has very few companions, and two of them are live-in Manxes by the name of Carling and Dagda. Now that Carling and Dagda have had their first litter (small, thank god), Evan is debating on whether they should find a small house so as to avoid trouble with his landlord for having the cats. Nonetheless, Cermait is an adorable little Manx.

Evie Langora
  By day, Evie, 26, works at a music store that sells old records as well as newer CDs and a station for MP3 downloads, and by night, she lets her hair down and sings for a ritzy hotel, providing entertainment for the bar from seven to two. She's a long-time resident in Wayes, and lives in a comfortable apartment building with a huge courtyard for the residents who have pets to romp in (on a leash, of course). She, herself, doesn't have a pet yet, but she wants to get one for herself. Living alone isn't safe or smart, and Evie likes the idea of having a companion to look forward to coming home to, as opposed to her empty apartment and her TiVo'd soaps. She's an old soul, and prefers singing her older Natalie Cole and Peggie Sue ballads to newer songs. It gives her a chance to expose her soft and dramatic voice. She'd fit in perfect in the '50s, droning out a heartbreaking farewell song or gracing the television for a special Live Performance. For now though, she's content to work two jobs that pay enough for bills and groceries.

Locksmith
Locksmith is originally the pet of a couple who couldn't have children. After an unfortunate accident, Locksmith was left in the mostly capable hands of Leslie Parish, his owner's younger sister. For all that's happened to Locksmith, he's not very affected by it. For sure, he misses his Madame and his Master, but Leslie needs him in a big way, and he doesn't mind being the parent when Leslie needs it. Yes, he does see himself as Leslie's guard dog and much more. Without Locksmith, Leslie probably wouldn't do much else other then work and sleep. He doesn't mind taking care of the younger Madame.

Carling
Carling is a spoiled Manx, belonging to a Professor who teaches at the university in Waye. The Professor is a teacher of Mythology, which is why Carling is named as she is. Carling is an Old English name, and is actually a hill where old women or witches gathered. It is rumored that Carling is a familiar, not actually a cat, but only superstitious people believe that. She goes wherever the Professor goes, always peaking out of his briefcase or riding in his arms while he takes care of things. She's a sweet girl despite being spoiled, but she doesn't have much history with other animals.

Dagda
Not nearly as spoiled as the lovely Carling, Dagda is Evan's newer Manx feline. He was a stray that followed Carling home one day, and Evan decided to just take him in. Being a newly adopted cat, Dagda is a little apprehensive about Evan and Carling, having only followed the spoiled manx because he was curious as to why she was riding around in a human's bag. He's adjusting to the life of a housecat, but if he can get out to roam for a little while? You better believe he'll do it.

Cermait
The first kitten of Dagda and Carling (and only in this litter), Cermait is a bit spoiled by his father. He is a pet like his parents, and Evan dotes on the kitten for being so adorable. His personality hasn't developed far, but he seems to take after his father in his roaming ways. He'll always return home, but he doesn't seem like being cooped up in the house with Carling while his father goes out to get little trinkets and gifts for him. One day, he'll be able to go out with his father.
