Okay... well, as most of you know... and for those of you not in the States that don't know, today is July 4, The Good Ole US of A's Independence Day.
Generally, especially where I'm at, there's a lot of celebrating our nation's birth by violating the laws of said nation. Namely, illegal fireworks. ^-^
However, this isn't about that. No, it involves a city fireworks display that happened tonight. It was nice, especially considering the size of the city I'm at...
But, if you've read some of my stuff before, you'd know I have a green laser... very visible at night... and lights up real nice in smoke...
Yeah, you can guess what I was doing...
When they started going off, I started shining the laser in the smoke left behind (between the 'splosions)... you could see a nice green beam where the fireworks had gone off...
Anyways, at one point I had decided to just take a break and watch the show... Heh.
Well, to put this in perspective... the fireworks were over a "bayou"... think "small bay", er, very very easily seen across, and probably swimmable if you're in shape...
Anyways, the smoke was blowing over towards the other side, thus they were over the people over there...
Well, I'm watching back, and there's a lull... and there's a green beam going straight up... I wasn't the only one playing with a green laser there... o_o Someone on the other side had one too... o.o
So, as the show goes on, we're both just shining the lasers at the smoke (between the 'splosions), and (at least on my side) eliciting "cool laser" from the kids and whatnot.
That.. that made Sibby's night. n_n

We went to the Orioles/Rangers game (we won!!) and then stayed at the Inner Harbor for fireworks. It was raining on and off, but it was awesome. There was an old battleship docked there firing its cannons. We all jumped when it did, cause the ground shook.

And lol'd at the Americans across the street because the border is only half an hour away, they could've taken it over there >>

My town is totally lame now. They NEVER have fireworks on the 4th anymore. They have them at the mall on the 3rd and on the lake the weekend before.
I used to go to the picni at my boat club every year and then my parents would force me to go out on the boat and watch the fireworks on the lake all close up. I ******** HATED fireworks and HATE HATE HATED sailing. And I would be stuck out in the middle of the lake so I couldnt even like go inside and hide from fireworks because they used to scare the crap out of me.

I stayed home, because it rained earlier and going out would make me cold and wet...
But there were people setting off illegal firework straight across the street from me in the cemetery. But the tree are so big here, I couldn't see anything. Lame.

went to friends house, this one girl
called said hey go to the park, we go there, shes like come back to this party
so we go thereeee
fireworks pretty close to us, too
it was a blast, like even if all the kids were a year younger than us
they're really nice and really funny, i love em <3
but we were there for about 4 hours, doing a lot of nothin
and yeah. ahaha.
then we went home to my friendssss house and i was on the phone with my
other friend for a while that left for tennessee this morning, and then i went
to bed :]

I stayed at home and watched fireworks in my neighborhood.
There was a firedancer who ended up performing while a bit drunk. He came to visit family I guess. He did a pretty decent job for the most part but he almost caught himself on fire once.
Several bottle rockets were shot into my neighbors yards as well by people up the street.

 Heh. Fireworks are legal in sin's state. Well, most of them. AND SHE IS GETTING SUPER SICK OF THEM. My nabors have been abusing the booms from dark till like 1oclock since a few days before the 4th -twitches- -plots there death-

Here you are only allowed to use fireworks on New Year's Eve. crying
Green lasers are cool. I want one too!

Or try dealextreme.com, and get their "True 30mw Green" one... awesome... it's a little more pricy (~$25 or so), but it's much brighter... On the downside... it's illegal in may places, so customs may not be happy (if they check it at all, that is...) And they're F'ing badass! ^_^

Btw, I also checked for other laser colors...I found blue, but they are SO frikkin' expensive. crying Dear God... the only damn reason I don't have a blue one yet is the cost... hell, even trying to make one from scratch is horribly expensive... x_x Oh, but if you want yellow, I remember seeing somewhere that someone somehow put a green and a red together just right to get one... o_o( )
