Jeez, I really should be keeping a better eye on this type of thing. XD
Ok, so, apparently, in about 12 hours at Anime Expo, they're gonna be announcing the main cast of the dub actors.
Of course, the information's already on wikipedia.
I'M JUST RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED FOR SOME REASON. The anime's finally actually coming to the US!
D: I'm probably gonna hate the dub, though.
Then again, they did at least one thing right: HUNNY IS NOT BEING DUBBED BY THE SAME TERRIBLE ACTRESS AS MOMIJI, ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD. biggrin

D: Chopper's VA would have been better, though.
-_- And Tamaki's being dubbed by the guy who did Edward Elric from FMA (which I have never watched.) And Haruhi is being dubbed by Winry's. Why does this seem ironic to me? (ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVEN'T ACTUALLY SEEN THE SERIES HAHAHA)
D: XD And Mori's being dubbed by Roy's VA. I now have no idea how this is gonna turn out.
D: THIS SERIES IS NOT MEANT TO BE IN ENGLISH *flails*

Everyone pretty much knew Vic was going to get it. He's been flaunting it for years.
...I still want to see it. Even if it's horrible. XD
October 23rd I believe is the DVD release date.
:3 I was at AX Saturday and Sunday. I got hosted by Hunny and Mori at the host club booth! biggrin Except we just talked about how crazy the cosplay club was and the crazy girls that came in. This is my favorite story:
"There was a girl who came in all by her self, practically shaking from being so scared and shy. She asked to see Kyouya, and Tamaki had to push her over to him. Then Kyouya looked up with that smile and said "Welcome!". She practically passed out. XD Being Mori, I'm supposed to shut up and let Hunny do the talking, but there are plenty of shy girls who designate me alone. ^^; "
That Mori was the hottest out of all of them. The Tamaki and Kyouya were kinda "ehhhhh...." .

They're using Vic? oh wow i think thats great! I really like him! He did pretty awesome with Edward Elric.
So Haruhi is going to be dubbed by the girl who played Winry? oo...that I don't like. Her voice is quite annoying at times...this might turn out bad...but i'm glad they're using Vic!

Hmmm......I have seen one clip for the ouran high host club dub by funimation......I think it is okay.....though I am not liking the way Vic voice Tamaki. Travis Willingham...he seems to be a good choice for the Mori character.

I saw the announcement of the cast on YouTube and sadly to say, I am far from pleased. I guess I like it better in Japanese, but when I heard that "Ed" and "Winry" were gonna be Tamaki and Haruhi, it felt like Funimation was just picking favorites.
Hope to see better when the DVD comes out.

Okay, at my last convention they showed the first three episodes. Now, I'm an Ouran cosplayer and was with my friend who also cosplays it. We sat through the first ten minutes and had to leave. It was HORRIBLE.
They dubbed Sakura Kiss and to make things worse none of the VAs really... struck me as the right characters. I love a lot of the VAs but they just weren't in the right roles. Vic didn't seem over-the-top enough and his voice was way too deep and didn't flow like Tamaki's voice is supposed to.
Not to mention that Haruhi's voice is DEEP in it and does not really fit with a more neutral gender type like that. The twins are okay but they could've been a lot closer to one another, Hunny's voice drove me up the wall it was so SCREECHY and LOUD, didn't hear Mori since I left so soon (the guy has like five lines, you know why Vic told them to cast Travis as Mori. Travis and Vic do not get along, see where I'm going?).
Out of what I saw the PRINCESS (who's name escapes me) was the best voice out of them all. I also fear what Nekozawa will sound like since his VA did Isshin Kurosaki from Bleach (I can't picture him voicing Nekozawa), but Kirimi looks promising at least (a little more emotion in the voice she used for Shuffle and it'd be perfect).
Overall I'm highly disappointed with what I saw and here's the kicker. 250 people were there in the beginning, when I went back near the end to line up for the cosplay competition there were MAYBE 20 people left.
