Shing Meteoryte
Age: 16
Class: Swordman *Assumption*
Weapon: Sword
A boy with an unusually strong curiosity for the world. He lives with his Grandfather Zeks in the town of Seeble. He inherited the ability to use Soma from his Grandfather and mother, but he hides this fact from them. Because of his curiosity and personal inexperience, he lacks delicacy in his speech and conduct. He notices his mistakes, and is is able to properly reflect upon them.
Kohak Hearts
Age: 17
Class: Healer/Mage *Assumption*
Weapon: Baton/Staff
A girl setting off from her home town for a certain reason, she is in need of Soma. Shing found her collapsed on the beach. She sometimes refers to a being known as "her."
Hisui Hearts
Age: Unknown
Class: Unknown
Weapon: Some shieldy glove thing.
Kohak's older brother. He is proud and tries to have a calm attitude, yet is still very hot-blooded.
Ines Lorenz
Age: Unknown
Class: Unknown
Weapon: Looks like an axey thing.
A woman with superhuman strength. She is the president of the transport company: "Everyday is a Peaceful Day", though it has no employess.

Tales doesn't need that realistic 3D CG approach. The series is known for it's anime-style graphic, I don't see what's the point of them going realistic now, after 11 years of something that's famous for the series. I know I've been waiting for a 2D Tales, but if it includes those realistic CGs, pass.

I know I've been waiting for a 2D Tales, but if it includes those realistic CGs, pass. Yeah I don't like the 3-D effect either. I hope its only for show, but if not then I'll just manage.

Thank you Abyssal Chronicles for putting up a better scan ... I like the chibiness XD I hate the CG art, but at least they have the hand-drawn artwork with it. The coloring style is that Inomata's usual, but ... I think it's her, judging by the eyes XD

CG for cutscenes, chibi for everything else? I've seen worse. Shingu reminds me of Sora. x_X

Just a hunch. There's the art for promotional uses, the graphics are chibi, so where does that leave something CG? Or maybe there'll be some "WOAH, WE'RE IN A VIDEO GAME" plot twist. xD

From the looks of it I don't actually think it's chibi 3-D I actually think its chibi sprites, which would make the battling like that or Eternia or Rebirth. So If it is sprites you can assume it will have 2-D battling.

Character illustraion is Inomata. (Chara design for main Tales titles are usualy done by either Fujishima or Inomata. I...can't remember who did the art for Legendia. >_>; )
Nothing is know about the cut-scenes. What you see in the scan is what everyone else, other than Namco themselves, know about the game. The only things we know right now is that the characters are 2D, with a 3D background. No one knows what exactly are the purpose of those two realistic models, rather they'll actually be used in-game or not.
I'm sure Namco will reveal more info about this during the upcoming Tales conference that's supposed to take place during the middle of the month (don't have an exact date), so I'd say just sit back and relax for now 'till the info comes in. (Though I'm still against the whole realistic 3D idea. For now I'll just try to pretend I never saw those. = = )

Some random person did Legendia, Inomata Mutsumi did, Destiny, Eternia, Destiny 2, Rebirth, Innocence, and Tempest
Fujishima did all the other ones I didn't name. Legendia doesnt' count though since that was again, done by a random person.
But isn't this game kinda like a Tales of the world game? Since the other characters are gonna be in it too? Or its a whole different story line without the past characters..cause..I heard otherwise O_o;;; and now i'm confused *blinks*

You're probably thinking of Radiant Mythology 2 because there's info on it under Tales of Hearts?

Kazuto Nakazawa isn't exactly random I think. He's certainly not a no-name. Seeing his style is a bit refreshing for me, but that's just my opinion. As long as his designs worked for the character models, I think it works.
But yeah, Arieta, you're looking at Radiant Mythology 2. XD;;
