A lot of the people who know me know that I greatly admire Vic Migongna. I think he's a very talented singer, actor, and a good role model. Not to mention a great person to have as a friend. . .
My problem, however, lies with some (not all!) of the leaders of his fan-club. . .
My friends have heard this rant, but here it goes again. Some members of the higher-ups in the Risembool Rangers seem to be under the mistaken impressions that they are Vic’s sectaries, only fans, and/or wives. So, from the average fan, let me make this clear. . .
I am a fan. I am not going to ask him stupid, hurtful questions, porously bring up painful memories, or dive into the personal life that you have very harshly deemed "off limits". I know better, I'm not stupid. So don't act like you have to every question/email run by you to make sure it's appropriate.
I am a fan. If I choose to send him cards, presents, letters, ect via post I refuse to pay more than double the shipping so that they may be sent to you and you will address them to him and re-send them to him. So don't act like I can't send him things directly to his address.
I am a fan. This means I try to keep out of his personal business, and so should you. Stop acting like I have to approve everything with you beforehand. Stop acting like you control his life. Stop attempting to control my contact with him. Stop acting like his wife, you're not, you hopefully never will be, get over your little complex and remember you are a fan just like the rest of us.
Thank you.
((Forum mods: Sorry if you think this is inappropriate, but it has to be said.))

I agree! Even though I DO ask questions, they're not personal (at least I don't think they are. it's just stuff like what's your fav. breed of dog, and whatnot) But I refuse to ask anything that might dredge up something he won't want to remember!

Well, I don't really know any of the Risembool Rangers higher up moderators (of the actual website. not Gaia) very well and have never really talked to them. But, it seems that you have had some problems with them and I'm very sorry to hear that and I know what it can be like when people act like that. It isn't pleasant.
I'm sorry that you feel that way. If you have had some troubles with the higher ups for whatever reason, just try to ignore it ^^ I mean, you're still a fan of Vic and I'm sure you will continue being one and that's what matters.

I agree. Some of the higher ups are almost freakishly hands on about presents and questions to Vic. I try to avoid sending him stuff and save it for cons, when nobody can stop me 3nodding

Howdy guys, I'm one of the mods of the Rangers (the website, not Gaia XD). It sounds like you've had a rough time with some of the mods and I felt the need to explain the reason for the mailing of gifts being the way it is. It's not an issue of keeping you from sending him stuff, that's not the case at all and in most cases the letters aren't pre-read before being mailed on. It's more of an issue of him not wanting his personal home address put out there for everyone to see.
Believe it or not, there are some pretty creepy people out there that would mapquest him and pop up on his doorstep if they knew his address...and some have. >_> *sweatdrop* So this was a choice of Vic's and he entrusted the job of forwarding mail to one of the mods. They didn't take it upon themselves to do it that way, it was a request bestowed upon them by Vic personally.
I'm sure that you are not one of the psycho stalkers that would hunt him down but they do exist out there and it's for that reason that the mail forwarding is done this way. It's nothing personal on you so please don't take it that way. Consider it a protection of Vic's privacy - and safety, in some cases, and respect his wishes for it to be this way. :3 I hope my explanation made sense! ^.^

The best way to avoid conflict is to wait and see him at a con yourself. Then you don't have to worry about anything. heart

I agree with you 100%!!! Some mods are so incredibly jerk-ish sometimes that it's like they consider themselves more important than the average fan and it gets to their head! (not saying all mods, just some) Your absolutely right we are all just fans of Vic and there's no reason to be so harsh about everything!

Amen. Some fangirls are REALLY scary & should be in straight jackets & accompanied by men in white coats. cool It makes you feel bad for the celebs they "love". Vic's got some really bad ones. Poor guy. It's the price for being so talented, I guess. sweatdrop

Dramatic fangirls at conventions is one of the many evils of being a voice actor.
