Ice field The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

They met in the Pokemon Center and this person asked if she could show this person how a pokemon battle works. Of course she agreed.
Kayla offered one of her pokemon to demenstrate on how it can be done.
Kayla walked up onto the platform and hang on to the railing as she waited for the newbie to show up.
As she waits, she grabbed one of her pokballs and threw it across the ice field.
"Go Quintrell!"
Quin burst out of the pokeball and landed on a patch of ice. He did not like the cold at all. Quote: As if this moment, I don't know if your character is a girl or boy and yeah. XD Generally, when we battle we keep track of how much HP points your pokemon has left. Right now I am going to roll...to see who goes first.

Shelly glanced into the stadium before taking a step in. She flushed nervously as she took her step inside and then onto the platform then slightly shivering from the element that had be chosen for the field.
Gently she ran her finger tips over Grinch’s poke ball. It was Kayla‘s pokemon, a Cubone. Sadly she didn‘t have any, yet. She looked at Kayla and tried to give her a fierce look but failed horribly. All she was doing was embarrassing herself even more. ‘It’s a first time for everything right?’
“Come on out, Grinch.” she called as she placed the ball on the battle field.
Grinch came out immediately then copying the Eevee and stepping onto another sheet of ice after slightly slipping a bit but not enough to fall.

Kayla watched Grinch take the field. Hmmm. This will be difficult. The battle field is not either pokemon's favorite. They will just have to work it out.
"Alright Quin! Let's start off with a Quick Attack!" Kayla ordered.
"Vee-Vee!" Quin acknowledged before backing up slightly before running forward, always aware of the icy lake in the middle. He moved this way and that, trying to confuse Grinch and went straight for the cubone.Quote: Quintrel - 800/800 Make sure to keep track of your pokemon's HP points. Shelly slightly giggled. “It’s not the losing I’m worried about, it’s how dumb I look.” she replied. This indeed was a opportunity for an new experience. After drawing pokemon for so long she was ready to start as a trainer. Shelly carefully studied the Eevee as that was she was used to. The stadium was slick ice, so to move would be kinda hard for the any pokemon.
Grinch looked back at the newbie wondering what the command would be.
She thought quickly then realized the pokemon‘s weapon. “Block the attack with your club then use Headbutt!”
Grinch nodded and right before impact the Cubone held up it’s club like a shield. Grinch slid back against the ice as an effect from the blow. The club didn’t hold the hit off but it would prevent some exhaustion then trying to run on ice. Grinch then chuckled a Cubone laugh before it reared it’s head in attempt to Headbutt Quin.

Quin was knocked back a few steps that landed him on the ice, causing him to slide and lose his footing. It took time a while before he got back onto some cold soild ground of snow and shivered a bit, glaring at Grinch.
"Now, let's try Iron Tail!"
With that command, Quin charged at Grinch. When he was right in front of the cubone, he jumped as high as he could. Quintrel's tail started to become metalic silver before he flipped and sent his tail downward ontop of Grinch.Quote: Quintrell - 700/800 edit: Wow. It keeps getting 5's. XDDD

Shelly smiled as the block was as successful as she had hoped. “I try.”
Grinch danced from side to side but careful not to lose his footing like Quin. Banging his club on the ice, he was ready for the next attack. Kayla made her call, now it was for Grinch. The attack Iron Tail would be harder to elude.
“Slide on the ice!”
Grinch thought of the freezing ice upon his belly for a second, but that second was too late. By the time he started to move, Quin was on top of him. The Cubone grunted as the Eevee's tail came down upon it. Now it was time to take it serious.
“Rockslide!”
“Cu-BONE!” Grinch replied as it threw its arms at Quin and a rumpled was heard. Suddenly, a pile of nicely sized rocks came tumbling down upon the opposing pokemon.

"Good job, Quin!" Kayla praised. However, she did not have time to do any more than that because Grinch was on the verge of another attack. He sent large boulders no smaller than a tennis ball all over Quin.
"Jump on top of them!" Kayla shouted but no good.
Quin got knocked back once more but continued to roll all over the icy lake as more boulders continue to pelt at him.
Quintrell did not stop until he fell onto a soft patch of snow at Kayla's end of the field.
"Are you okay!?" Kayla looked down at Quin anxiously.
"V-vee." Panting hard. That was a major blow to Quin and he cannot afford another like that.
"Okay, boy! Let's show them! Bite!"
Quintrell charged at Grinch, his sharp small teeth prepared to take a large chunk of the cubone. He managed to cross the frozen lake by jumping onto some of the boulders that was left on the field and pounced at Grinch, aiming for his shoulders.Quote: Quintrell - 500/800 I think you used an TM attack. XDD As long as it has some attacking power you can use it for this battle. Any moves that can only affect status or Stats are not allowed in this one but maybe we can start the next time. XD

Shelly was getting the hang of battling now. Her father was an excellent trainer, or so she thought. She used to watch him train all the time.. Shelly shook her head reminding herself that a battle was taking place. She smirked knowing the perfect attack.
“Ready Grinch?” She asked more convenient then earlier when walking into the cold environment of the stadium.
“Bone.” Grinch replied as he stood his ground. As Quin drew forth, the Cubone waited for the command. Right when the attack was to come the newbie yelled 'block and Bone Club.' Grinch threw up his club so that the Eevee would bite down on the weapon rather than flesh and then would attempt to slam the pokemon hard onto the ice using Bone Club.

"Dang it!" Kayla exclaimed when Quintrell's bite attack was evaded by a simple smack of Grinch's bone before getting smacked back onto the ice with Bone Club. "I thought you said you never battled before..." Kayla grumbled a bit but not as if she was upset.
She was much better than Shelly thought she was. It was kinda sad that Kayla was getting whipped by someone so fresh.
"Quin, we got to turn this around. We cannot let Grinch and Shelly win right?"
Quintrell glared at the the two across the ice but nodded slightly as if he was too tense to answer with a proper nod.
"Use Shadow Ball!"
The eevee open his mouth and a black and purple ball of energy formed, which started off small but gradually grew bigger and bigger. When it became too large, Quin released it and shot straight at Grinch.

Shelly held her right hand up and smiled. “I’ve never battled before.” She looked around the field to see what else her and Grinch could use to their advantage beside the pokemon’s bone weapon. Well, there’s rocks.. More like boulders but rocks were useless against what was coming their way.
“Grinch! Use Earthquake!” Shelly commanded before the Shadow Ball was set loose.
Grinch stomped his foot hard upon the thick ice. It slightly cracked as it began to shake hard like.. Well like an earthquake. ‘I wonder if it’s the pokemon that make the avalanches and earthquakes’ she wondered curiously.
Right after the attack was made, the Cubone was thrown back against the platform that Shelly stood on making it shake. She looked down upon still Grinch and asked if he could make another move. Grinch didn’t reply but simply answered by slowly standing up and glaring his golden eyes at Quin. Shelly let out a soft laugh but Grinch was showing exhaustion.

The earthquae was soo strong that the whole stadium felt like it was beng affected. Kayla had to hold onto the railing while it happened. Quintrell was not so lucky. The earthquake caused a large crack into the icy lake, which the eevee almost felt into it. Sharp ice and rock started to fall on Quin as the ice pillars fell to the ground.
Quin climbed out of the crack and managed it.
"Quin! Use Shadow Ball again!"
Quintrell nodded before reopening his mouth and after a few moments released another black and purple ball of energy.
